What i love about this is even if being the top began as a matter of pride, Kuze still lost to Shimojou. I feel like the mangaka didn't do justice for Chiharu nor the dad and the sensei. From what it looks like before Chiharu grew up was that the dad intended to "marry" sensei and Chiharu had the idea of "remarrying" but the mangaka didn't tie two and two. They just made Chiharu a 2d character who flips oh-so conveniently with his teacher and father not explanating a thing even after all that group hug. There's a disconnect with the characters' premise and the way the mangaka just wanted to have an "angsty" and "assaulting" seme. It made more sense for the bully to continue teasing Chiharu and be the one who "comforts" and be a decent tsundere than him being a push over while the once angelic Chiharu who loved his father and his teacher to just leave and be an asshole.
(come on, fictional characters still need depth coz they're basically a "real" person with a story to tell. That's the reason why Characterization/character growth exists in fiction. They're not meant to be 2 dimensional like some side characters or NPCs)
I have lots to say actually, not just about the concert. Like the magnificent art, drama, depth of characters, and how sometimes the author does not seem to have a filler as transition and everything seem to just happen all of a sudden.
Regardless, the nightmares, trauma, ptsd, and hate during the pre-concert really had me (like I was already broken for Yunho abt his family). Especially during the concert as well. It reminded me of Stray Kids' concert when they sang "Phobia" and cried to their fans to stay (pun may or may not have been intended), fearing that the fans might turn their backs on them. And when Yunho sang "By my side", I was thinking of "You can STAY". And so, my SKZ STAY heart is just crying during that concert arc. I've never even been in a concert coz I'm broke. I just watch the videos from fellow fans or from the free digital copies online. So i know how much I'm missing out.
Writing a reliable Yakuza as a second option/second lead and making a douche of a cop as a rival and main lead... You know that there's going to be something unsatisfying with the story.
