it does NOT. prepare to be disappointed bc it's, quite honestly, one of the most unsatisfying resolutions to a fight i've seen in BL. it's like expecting an explosion and getting a bubble pop.

(oops this has turned into a rant while i was typing it up so tl;dr no, at least not yet we won't be getting the chasing arc.)
for one, the cliche Big Turning Point in their relationship won't be this argument. it's just a minor blip. from the recent raws, it might be after MC realizes he's falling for a guy who doesn't have the balls to admit they're in a committed relationship in all but name. (whether we'll get a breakup and satisfying chasing arc after that, i can't say. the author does have a habit of making doing this in two phases and the second fall out is usually the best one for the chasing/groveling arc.)
for THIS fight however they both give each other the cold shoulder & MC's scenes show that he misses ML. while moping that ML hasn't contacted him MC ends up overhearing some trashtalk about ML and the girl who has a crush on ML. he defends them & chastises the guys. obviously, ML and the girl are on the other side of the door and heard everything. awkwardness all around.
when everyone left, ML sits on a couch, stops MC from leaving, then does the begging/smoulder face to ask if he's done thinking about them and if they can see each other again. claims he hasn't contacted MC only because the MC said not to contact him as parting words after their argument.
now this is what really fucks me up about this 'reconciliation' scene.
MC relents to a conversation (while sitting on ML's lap) & clearly states the boundaries that have been crossed and ML's unfounded prejudices, along with admitting he was hurt when ML stated an ultimatum about cutting him off if he leaves.
ML apologizes (or what the author thinks is an apology) by saying, (non-direct translation) "Yes, I've been thinking why I overreacted that night. Usually if something bothers me about a fwb, I just cut them off. But it seems I've let you cross the line unknowingly and you mean much more to me so I can't do it and I want to see you again"
like, really? i hate how he phrases stuff like it's some huge milestone to admit he values MC which is WHY he said all those hurtful things. first of all, abusive parent/bf/partner dialogue 101 of 'I care about you that's why I did all that verbal abuse' much? second, the petty jealousy was initially fun, but not like this. not when the narrative itself FULLY PRESENTS the MC as somehow equally culpable for the ML's immature actions.
AND THEN
"I may have overreacted, but think about if you were in my position and I told you I would bring home a drunk friend who's a girl to my room just to sleep over. Wouldn't you have thought something as well?"
WHAT DO YOU MEAN. yes! if you brought a drunk friend home regardless of gender you better be just sleeping because that's sexual assault homeboy and he keeps trying to equate his shallow relationships with MC's actual honest to god best friend who is dealing with so much shit. he's grasping at the tiniest straws to shift the blame on MC instead of his double standard.
and the MC's takeaway from this is "Damn je has a point" and 'Wow he cares about me' and basically melts back into the relationship.
they enjoy a pretty clingy/affectionate and sexually charged fwb situationship afterwards where ML internally monologues about his growing affection for MC and methinks this emotionally constipated dude just hasn't had a platonic bestfriend yet so he's too dumb to tell the difference. they go on a trip with other people where MC, quicker on the uptake, starts getting anxious about his deepening feelings for a guy who blatantly told him he's not interested in anything more.
it's gonna be a long, long road ahead before i find satisfaction in this story but i like the author's prev stories so
This is depressing. ML is such a low life son of a bitch , who thinks everyone is hoe just bc he is a low life hoe. I hope author better give us 100 chapter's of that bitch crying, crawling, begging for mc's love and attention, if not I hope someone snatches away uke from him in the most disrespectful way as they could .
I want mc to leave this bitch and get a new man who would treasure him :) but he loves ML so much, we can't do anything about it argh

AND THEN you have izek, who, after deciding to trust her, has never once faltered in his faith
my god, that "I'll always be on your side" is a bajillion times more poignant than an I love you for someone who has gone through severe abuse
it might be pointed out w/a child's perspective, but it doesn't negate the fact that she saw someone potentially being bullied and immediately did something to try and prevent that.
kinda sad when you think about how adults have been conditioned to ignore these things in the work place, because even MC as an adult also just wants to brush it off
usually for playful+scheming ML archetypes you only see them appear beside an unsuspecting FL all cool and witty
i never knew how much depth to the relationship it adds when we see the usually flirty ML actually catch a glimpse of FL, make a mad DASH to catch up, and get nervous/flustered before approaching her and coming back to their smooth self
i love that isidore has so many facets of his character shown bc it makes their interactions so genuine

No one is that smooth irl most of the times, it makes the ml seem more human and genuine, especially if they are truly interested in MC. It's not a girl only thing to be flustered around someone you are interested in
the steering wheel clench, the innuendos, the heated stares, the absolute balls to the wall horniness of the ML where all that's missing is him breathing down the MC's neck... dear gods
plus the way baby boy is describing himself as garnish (because the Legal Wife is the main dish, obviously. i can't. i'm laughing way too fuckin hard at his dramatic metaphors) like he's accepted being a side ho & subtly exposing his worries that MC might be let down by him when they finally do it/get bored of him sweetie pleaseeeee aaahhhh
AND THE MC JUST GOING THROUGH HIS WORK DAY LIKE NORMAL, LOWKEY WEIRDED OUT. NOT REALIZING THE BLUEBALLING HE'S DOING LMAOOO

bit of assault TW.: once a drugged and barely coherent Heesung wakes up in a motel, the orange-haired assface who bought him then enters the room & mocks MC. he goes as far as getting on top of him, shoving his finger in MC's mouth, slapping MC when his fingers gets bitten & bloody, then he gets as far as taking off MC's pants.
then some commotion happens in the building and Heesung manages to escape in his puppy form- but not before getting hurt and caught in the stampede of people trying to get out of the building just absolutely friggin heartbreaking events all around. it doesn't help that the next chapter is a FLASHBACK OF MC'S DEPRESSING CHILDHOOD AAAAA

once you get to the unhinged, morally questionable decisions from MLs that were explicitly written and introduced as morally questionable, you see:
-the normal ones who read synopsis/ content warnings & enjoy the story they signed up for. occasionally makes impassioned gripes about the plot but is obviously having fun with the messy drama
-the average pearl-clutching "Bad ML in the Bad ML genre??? How dare-!?!?! I'm dropping thissss! Watch me walk away! Watch me!!!"
