he's a fan favorite for sure
i like that in the webtoon version the 'harem' aspect is definitely toned down and the girls aren't obnoxiously devoted to MC, just people trying to survive their own way. even the one who has a crush on him is pretty well rounded out as a character because her personality, motivations, and values were shown separately first before her story was linked to MC.
for a second there i genuinely felt the desire to strangle this emperor irl lol. most trash guys in webtoons act comically evil, like their actions and transgressions against FL are only plausible in a rofan world.
but this blondie is so, so, reminiscent of actual Misogynist Rich White Guy on fb that it's hilariously frustrating. the mommy issues he keeps projecting and making every woman's problem, the thinly veiled insecurities, the entitlement, the casual back-handed "compliments", the narrow-minded POVs and their unshakeable belief in their words despite being dumb as rocks. god.
where diana uses MC plot armour to reverse time and choose kael instead of the prince, but only kael remembers the previous timeline
& he wakes up confused to find he's with diana
and hess, who hates his guts, is with the prince so kael tries to make hess remember him
idk i'm just starving man i need more i'm gonna make fics for maximum pain. maybe we can get a kael villain arc. who said that

because she did everything right to show remorse and recompense for her actions. she showed a willingness to learn and be cautious and make sacrifices. (so i kinda don't get the aggressive incel comments on her rn tbh.)
hopefully they show what she has learned and the growth in her character as a future ruler of her estate. for ONCE i just want a woman in a decidedly seinen/shonen webtoon to have their own life and character progression that's separate from any romantic feelings they have for mc.
She is in the future you will love her character development
