I know y’all aren’t getting mad at Nine for getting mad at Melissa for knowingly and willingly drinking an unknown poison. Idk what kind of shit friends y’all are but if my friend told me they would drink something despite knowing it was poisoned even if there was an antidote on hand I would absolutely rock their shit. Yeah we get it Melissa can make her own decisions but this has nothing to do with the fact that she doesn’t reciprocate Nine’s feelings nobody is saying that she has to but he has a right to be mad that someone he cares about is constantly putting their life at risk (and honestly I think this time if she just took the plan she could sort it out without risking her life but I’m not the author so what I think doesn’t matter)

i didn't like nine being all cry baby at all. never did. it feels more like he likes the idea of her bending to his will and being a fragile princess. she is a crazy monster, that is what she is and always has been. this plan goes in line with the shit she does. and tbf drinking some poison with the antidote in hand and an amazing healer is much less dangerous than going against that monster from nine's family in the forest... that was so much more dangerous, but no one blinked against it. so why be worried now just because nine decided to cry like a little baby? he can be worried all he want, but it would be much more protective to actually help her on her plans, so nothing weird happens... but he rather chose to step out and make her worry, so when he makes her fail he can go all "told ya so my fragile princess let me hug you".
i hope it all goes well and he shuts up. i love her free spirit character. i am rooting more for the other girl than nine... he doesn't seem to know well the girl he likes... it feels like he met a crazy rock and roll fan in a concert, but than later is asking them to not listen to it because "it is too load"...
okay, the example isn't that equivalent, but you probably get what i mean... i am not saying this isn't dangerous tho, but the idea of it being particular more dangerous than anything else she did... come on... dangerous is her middle name! that is who she is!
i hope everything goes right, and if doesn't nine can do nothing, and the other girl help her. i really don't want his premise to have any validation. :P

to be honest i don’t get what you mean? he's being over protective, but it’s not to the point where he wants her to be a fragile princess. she willingly does dangerous things even though she has people that care about her because she believes that everything will be alright. she has this blind faith in the people around her that she doesn’t even stop to consider why nine is mad. nine has always been following her around that when he stopped doing it for once and stood his ground, she associated him with the men that she knows (the prince, her brother, the other wolf guy) instead of viewing him as a friend that’s concerned for her. i think she only views nine as that: a subservient friend. she’s been in charge and doing things her way without much backlash from her friends that she’s developed a sort of ego, which is why nine is so frustrated. she didn’t tell him beforehand that this was going to happen, and discussed something that can easily kill her so nonchalantly. he’s not tying her down, he’s genuinely worried about her safety and how reckless she is with her own life. instead of viewing him as a crybaby, maybe just view things from his perspective. his savior and love is doing something that can actually kill her if things don’t go right, and she gets mad at him for wanting to care about her. melissa is in the wrong in this situation. imagine this in real life, your significant other is, let’s say, not wearing a mask in the pandemic. they have a strong immune system and is fairly healthy, so they think that they’re not gonna die even if they do get covid. you still want them to wear a mask because they could actually die, but they say that you’re wrong for telling them to wear one and that they can do whatever they want to. there’s a limit to how recklessly you can act until you drive away the people that care about you

the situation in the forest was also completely different than this, melissa had to act out because someone was going to die. it was an emergency and she needed to think fast. this situation is different, she’s doing this because she wants to bring someone down, not because someone’s going to die. yes, that one guy doesn’t like her and is trying to harm her but it’s not an impending threat like the other one was. she’s just choosing the most extravagant way to take this guy down because she doesn’t like him. that’s why nine cares so much more, the forest situation dealt with more lives. in this one, just melissa is getting hurt. not yuri, not nine, but just melissa. it’s not like melissa is the strongest either, she’s not invincible. the chance of death isnt high with the poison, but it’s still there. if she were to die in the forest, she would’ve died a hero trying to save her friends. but in this situation, she would die a fool that was murdered by an obsessive man

you are as bad on equivalent examples as i am... lol i would love to keep doing counterpoints but i think this would only makes us go in circles of "no u".
i get what you mean tho and it is unfortunate that you don't get me. but oh well.
i still don't agree, we see their reality/priorities quite a bit differently, but that is something we can't run away from anyway. i hope you enjoy the outcome of this and have a nice time all around. goodbye.

She’s acting like he became a tyrant for no reason and that he’s inherently a horrible person as if she doesn’t know the exact reason why he started the war

Her goal is completing her role and be sent back home. Simple as that. She is acting like that because she believes being nice to him like the 1st time made the plot skewed and she was forcebly sent to the past instead of sent home because of that.
Her role in the novel is being the one responsible for him turning into a tyrant... she didn't live that life believing it was her second life or something. But that she was abducted to inside a book and if she wanted to go back home she had to play that role.
Hm... think of it that way... you know Harry Potter right? Imagine if you were pulled inside of it as Remus or Sirius. And the only way to go back to reality, your home, family, friends and everything you love, is to play that role till its death. And so you do it... including turning into a werewolf or going to azkaban... all knowing this is a book and that after all that Harry will marry, have kids and have his happy life after winning the magical war... and after you do all that and finally die how the character should and is happy cuz you'll finally will go back to reality... you are trown back to the first time you appeared at the book and has to go through it all again... wondering why that happened you conclude you were way too nice to Harry and he was too devastated after your death and probably lost the fight or something and that's why you were sent back... because you somehow skewed the plot... so you help him this time but while being mean to him so your death will not affect him as much this time and will be able to finally go home.
That is probably similar to what the Mc is going through... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

But it is... she did her role perfectly... that's why she is confused on why she was sent back in time instead of going home... and believes she did something wrong... on wondering what she notice how he is too nice to be a tyrant (currently) and believes it's her being too nice to him that changed him... so she is trying to get him mad at least once... to change him so he won't be too nice to be a tyrant... she believes that's the condition for her to go home she dying and him becoming a tyrant. As she doesn't know what happened after she died she thinks he didn't became a tyrant... hence she was trown back...
But honestly... is obvious he did it... he somehow turned back time and because of that she went back too instead of going home... but she doesn't know and blames herself...

Sorry I know the male leads are gonna end up being useful in the future but right now they just piss me off I hate when the ml’s in stories like these act so entitled to the mc’s time. Like with the Crown Prince, he can see that she’s uncomfortable with him and she obviously can’t reject him because he’s literally the Crown Prince but he still forces her to accommodate him. Ren is pretty obvious he’s just annoying because he thinks he’s interesting. I know I’ll end up liking them eventually because I always do but Jesus just let the girl do what she needs to do instead of always getting in her damn business as if she can’t take care of herself.
Can her brothers literally just shut up. Like immediately. Permanently. Just don’t ever talk again.
