This went from one of my most hated books and Semes to one of my favourites of all time. This author is absolutely goated.
I think that’s the goddess using her body and that’s why the dragon doesn’t trust her. The goddess is the bad one. That being said, this plot is dog shit and confusing af and has wayyyyyy too many things going on at once without it necessarily weaving together so I’m dropping this. If anyone thinks this is worth picking back up again, please comment on this.

It’s “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”!! It means that the bonds you make will always be stronger than the bonds you are born with. Blood is thicker than water doesn’t refer to bloodlines AT ALL!! Whoever first took the saying out of context was way out of line for doing so and now generations later, people still say the quote wrong. She’s with her rightful family! The one she chose IS her rightful family.
I have a feeling, just like many other things religion was the reason why the quote changed, trying to keep families together, even if the family were not stable together.
Most likely. It was probably Christianity tbh. I don’t hate Christianity but for a religion preaching love thy neighbour, it’s quite hypocritical cause it also says that god smites people who are pagans cause he doesn’t like it when people acknowledge gods that are not him so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was them.
I liked this one but kinda hated the ending. Leaving it on such a vague note and it being all “this isn’t what I wanted to happen! I didn’t want to dominate you” feels very unresolved. I wanted more ㅠㅠ

So you believe she’s the daughter of god and that she’s the saintess but you don’t believe that she can hear god as his daughter and you don’t believe that she could possibly understand his will as a saintess???? Make it make sense for me because I’m not getting it. If she is the closest person in the universe to god… would she not rank higher than any clergy from the day of her birth until the day of her death? Also, isn’t being rude to a daughter of god considered the same blasphemy as being rude to god himself? Blaspheming against the son of the Christian god (Jesus) is considered to be a blasphemy against the god himself so really not a single clergy person are as devout and pious as they claim. I hope she can smite them all in the name of teritius
