while i enjoy seeing the school plot more than the intense plots, i rlly hate that they have anya so committed to plan b and she’s not allowed just be a kid. all her actions are influenced by lloids wants and plans and it’s getting a bit overdone for me, i want to see HER wants and needs in social settings yk? idk

I do understand what you mean here, but on another perspective, i think anya is just so driven to pursue world peace not just because she was influenced by Lloid. Remember that she was experimented and have been abandoned again and again by other families in the past. Maybe anya wanted that world peace so that if she ever was successful she would not be abandoned anymore. On another note, I think anya is being a kid on her own unique way.
Well Anya does love being a spy and she seems to have a lot of fun. And she goes to school, plays and goes shopping with Becky, spends time at the park with her "parents" and dog, gets rewarded when she does well at school... pretty kid like. Plus it is a spy comedy, not a slice of life/school manga :)
Isn't what Anya is doing being a kid in her own unique way? Her understanding of Loid's mission and Yor's dangerous secret job is just like a kid's. She would beg and cry for things she wants to do as ridiculous the cause may be. She might not be the usual airhead silly child, but she's definitely a child at least to me...

She is being a kid. Kids love to play pretend spy. And it would make sense for her to be this commited, out of a deep rooted fear of being abandoned if the mission fails. Although they only joke about it lightly, Anya is still a traumatized kid in a new and (highly) dangerous family.
true but there’s still pressure being put on her, though i guess i weirded my point weirdly. its kind of sad that we don’t see her interact with her peers (outside of becky) in a way that isn’t due to ulterior motives influenced by lloid, at least not often. for example i enjoyed when she was able to connect with one of the kids in damien’s trio and talk about spacemen and rockets (or something along those lines), that was genuine, that was her. or when she gushed to damien about how cool he was when he stood up to the bad guy in an attempt to protect her, i want to see more of than instead of the facade she has to put up to get close to damien out of the sense of it being an obligation.

also why are they trying to pair blanche and verite together? just let them be friends #－.－) idc if he’s technically “two” years old, he mentally feels old enough to play a convincing adult, giving him a child appearance doesn’t suddenly make it fine to pair him with a child, and just bc he has some childlike innocence as a result of being in the mirror, it doesn’t exactly = being on the same brain development that a human child is at. it just too weird and it felt extremely out of character for him to be like “ur the beautiful one ヾ(☆▽☆)” after he’s expressed annoyance over having to repeatedly monitor her and humor abigail’s obsession with calling her pretty. like who is this???
they would’ve been better off as friends, or if he took on an uncle role since he’s seen as a little brother figure to abigail.

yeah i learned that through the comments and it’s still weird, sorry. i know there’s lore as to why he looked like an adult at first since it’s a hint to where he comes from, but from the audience perspective, HE’S AN ADULT changing his appearance. this dilema could’ve easily be solved if they just didn’t pair him up with blanche, it’s unnecessary on every level and pushes the agenda that a girl and a boy can’t just be friends.
or if they HAD to keep it, the romance should’ve developed AFTER his true age/identity was revealed. but either way it’s just a forced pairing and i hate it.
this felt very raw and realistically written, im always pleasantly surprised when i find content like this. it isn’t like OVERLY edgy and overdone like missing love (well, outside of cole’s moments where he’s straight up insane at times). other comics that gives me this raw, realistic vibe is j no subete (major trigger warning for graphic child abused for that one), and stigma.
idk how to explain it other than this just feels believable. maybe it’s the american themes that are done extremely well with these stories? im not sure, i think the execution for that, the dialogue and interactions are amazing though.

I do kind of hope he was the one, because that way we only have one crap-tastic love interest instead of possibly having two.

i saw criticism for the prince and how he’s leading his fiancé on when he’s falling for mc but isn’t his wife doing this same with the villainess?? why is he the only one getting dragged for that… or am i mistaking the situation (its possible since i’ve just been keeping up with the updates so im kind of forgetting the situation)
I don’t think the villainess has anything going on, strictly speaking. Like there are definitely romantic feelings developing but not necessarily a relationship. Yuri and Rosie might not even realize that they feel that way towards each other or necessarily even feel romantic stuff yet.
In contrast, the prince is definitely taking advantage of Rosie’s familial ties to MC to get a cover for spending time with MC. Note that this has gone on since they were children and EVERYONE (since he’s the prince) in the kingdom knows that he is “interested” in Rosie.

i kind of feel bad for eclise i’m ngl, penelope plays a huge part as to why he becomes the way he does. she buys him while he’s severely traumatized, then neglects him and only visits him to flirt with him basically. all of this is a perfect mix for an unhealthy obsession and dependability to form.
not saying that she’s a bad person for it ? since she obviously has her reasons, but i just can’t help but feel like she especially fucked him over. since the beginning i thought it would’ve been better if she hadn’t gotten involved so the crown prince got a hold of him instead, where there was hope for normalcy for him. poor dude.
Yh it's unfair to eclipse but in penelopes defense to her this is all a game and none of these characters are real, she literally sees panels and %, in her world she played this game dozens of times and penelope the villainess always died, so I can understand how her fear and desperation may keep her detached and inconsiderate towards the other characters
yeah this isn’t like a diss to penelope, i understand her reasoning well, she’s desperate and doing the best she can with her resources and i respect that. that said i don’t think the way she fucked eclise over should be ignored either. people have a lot of fun crapping on him for being an obsessive creep while fangirling over the gigachad crown prince, and it’s kinda frustrating. it’s also sad that penelope is turns a blind eye to the mess she created instead of taking responsibility, too. (well it’s understandable too on her part, what does one even do in this situation? she has her own problems to top it off. it’s complicated.)
eclise is a tragic character, and i just learned he’s being brainwashed to top it off . i hope he gets a somewhat decent ending and they don’t fully convert him into irredeemable creep so the crown prince can have his suave and charming moments by comparison.
