A female lead should be able to depend on others once in a while, there is no rule saying the female lead has to be some OP independent woman. You literally saw her freakin backstory where she was treated awfully by others and didn’t care for herself. The point of the ML is to help her realize she can depend on her friends when she needs to and not always do everything on her own. The reason why she’s “so weak” is because she overworks herself and thinks she should do everything for the sake of everyone else.

You clearly came to the wrong story if you want some sort of super strong FL who doesn’t need anyone

I don’t remember reading about that tho, I saw the raws and it looks more like he’s friends with a prince. But anyways I think most people referring to him as a “prince” is only cause of how they think he’ll save her from everything

I don't disagree with most thing you ve pointed out about the FL.

But since I already read the chapters and NovelUpdate Spoilers, I started to think and formed my own opinion about this story.

I ve realized that many MLs have to be a prince or royality in order to help the FL.

Yes, perhaps I shouldn't add the word ego to the prince and I am well aware of other MLs who are much worse, toxic or problematic.

To be honest, I am more interested in the supporting side characters that interacts with the FL than the nice ideal prince who came out of nowhere.

Maybe I do read too much into it but as someone who read lots of mangas/manwhas/manhuas/webtoon I find this pattern or trope bothersome/annoying.

Please Stop putting words in my mouth and try to have a conversation with me.
We both have our own definition about what is a weak or strong character.

I also reading story where the MC isn't overpowered and slowly relies on other friendly characters.

It's just a story man....and the author has every right to make any story...yeah it's toxic but i have read bunch of stories with both straight and BL stories with extremely toxic couple in a relationship......just skip it if don't enjoy it man.... although you have every right to your opinion...but I'll not tolerate you bullshitting on people who like this story.... I don't like it because this story is BL or sangwoo is hot...i like it because it has layers to it...because it's deep and portrays a story so twisted it's beautiful

I also like/appreciate this dark messed up story but have to agree that it is problematic how fans sees/romanticize Sangwoo.

That Youttuber is right. The reason why we (when we were teenagers or in our early 20s) root for the toxic dangerous psycho manchild MLs like Sangwoo is mainly because he is portrayed as so goodlooking hot.
If he wasn't, we wouldn't so easily ignore his atrocities.

This is so true, it’s pretty rare to find an actual story such as killing stalking that doesn’t romanticize abuse such as sexual wise and just toxic relationships in general.

KS was such a good representation too. If I were to find another twisted story such as KS it probably wouldn’t even been mlm. Everytime you’d see a story thats in the same boat as killing stalking and includes mlm or BL, it’s ALWAYS fetishizing toxicity and sexual abuse. Or they just have such terrible representation and the audience just feeds on it because of how young and naive this community is.

Just big big kudos to this author for the representation of real abuse, mentally and physically.

Better support the stories which are actually healthy progressive or condemn abuse/toxic tropes/handsome murderous criminals.

I really wish Yoon Bum had a better ending. I really felt for him.

I didn't care about Sangwoo at all. He deserved to suffer and die for his crimes.

I actually have sympathy for the both of them but I agree Yoon Bum deserved a good ending and some therapy.

Um, I think I have a psychological mlm manga, that doesn't sexualize rape. Well in my opinion it doesn't. I don't know if you read it but it's called color recipe. Um it does have rape, but um how you see the ending like determines on what you think... Like I said I didn't think it sexualized it but if you think it did, then I am sorry for recommending this to you..

Therapy or psychological support/help is still a taboo in many Asian Countries.

As an Asian myself I feel lucky and grateful living in Germany where you have easier affordable access to mental healthcare.
The free self-help group/support group are even funded by the German goverment...
Just to be clear, we hate the current goverment with how they dealt with the Pandemic and all the young people left behind but we still have it good enough here.
