Yeah they are followed the tropes way to closely including coloration. I like the MC and wish she could be in a story she could properly stand out in.

But I feel like that the narrative is a little too lenient towards that ex-fiancé.

bc the previous saintess died and he wanted to marry the next saintess so he got together with the most probable future saintess (aka the girl with the most powerful holy powers)
