The trope a mature person becomes a parent figure to a child that eventually will fall in love as an adult with his/her caretaker...
So the MC basically raise a child that will marry them... I don't know about that...(⊙…⊙)
Who in its right mind wants to make love with his own adoptive/foster parents???
Another example from the past: Usagi Drop and Hana To Akuma...
First the MC was saved by the ML in the past. The author had to make them connected to each since their childhood/youth. The mystery is gone.
Second her weakness is her true name... Really?! Foreshadowing...
Third the ML will very likely save her again and again + the scheming blond prince runs her current situation.
I highly recommend: Majo To Kiketsu No Kishi
That witch MC is a very sassy unrestricted lovely bitch who is not bond by societal rules.
I love how she doesn't get manipulated or convinced by a pretty blond high ranking schemer at all ^^. The prime minister's plans always fails on her^^
I know that the MC has been abused and broken her whole life by her whole family in a very conseravtive fantasy period world.
But it is very frustrating to see that she can only be saved and healed by a powerful man.
When I was a "victim" nobody really saved me but it was my own determination and inner rage that make me stronger, smarter and more reactive.
It was due to my own initiative/agency that I found people who were willing to give me their support.
And in the end I did punished my family and other assholes in my own reasonable modest way.

Almost Everyone knows here that Elena Evoy Observation Diary is heavily inspired by the manga Last Game. There are so many obvious similarities, if you read the manga first and then this webtoon/manwah.
(Is possible that "manwah" doesn't exist anymore and it is being fully replaced by South Korean webtoon media?)
Does it actually count as a cheap rip off or plagiarism? Yes, No and Why?
Many characters are different from the original story but Elena is basically the same as Mikoto Kujō while Jonathan is a more good looking + kinder + tortured version of Naoto Yanagi.
I see it

I just read the spoilers about Elena's father death and why Jonathan's father mistreat him... I really hope the spoilers are false but by looks of it Fantasy Korean or Japanese novels dramas often have secret conspiracies, too forgiving FLs and toxic tsundere cruel fathers...
Maybe there is a great pay off or justice at the end of Elena's story...
I am quite annoyed by their logic!
omg i didn't think of that until you said it. I was actually thinking of SpecialA! The way he get interested after being the best all his life and then getting his ego injured after his first loss. Doen't it remind you of Kei???
wait damn I'm getting my mangas mixed up. I read both such a long time ago. An oldie but a goodie. nvm that plot line was definitely last game. SpecialA was the other way around with the girl trying to beat the guy while the guy fell for the girl. OMG T.T they don't make mangas like that anymore. I'm so sad. It was such a good read
Special A had more simiarity with Kaichou Wa Maid-sama.
No matter how strong, smart or hard working the FL is, the priveledged talented superior tsundere ML is always the winner who can overpower and rescue her WITH EASE.
It is quite sexist, immature, absurd and stupid.
I ve never understood why so many shipped these two: the bored teasing heir and the struggling men hating maid (Kaichou Wa Maid-sama). Their love began with deceit, blackmail and stalking from the ML.
I'm only onto chapter 0 and all I can think is 'wow this is last game but in historical setting' but let's see maybe we gonna have fun in this journey too
