I still don't understand why the ratings are lower than 9?!
Doesn't this progressive heartclenching webtoon/story deserves more???
If the premise speaks to you or is interesting to you enough, you should read some chapters before judging it only by it's current rating.
Sometimes the ratings does not always reflect your taste or values.
For instance, a story has a rating of 9.7-8 because of the artstyle and charm but the characters are weak or too pretentious, the story is very misogynistic and the logic is uncomprehensible messed up.
It is not a good idea to glamorize mental illness and use it for sexual exploitation.
It's more than "not a good idea" to exploit someone but I disagree this glamourizes mental illness. Also it's realistic in the sense rather than people caring for the mentally ill, or just treating us like normal human beings while going on with their daily lives, they are behaving like this to us. Some are like "MONSTERS!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE" and some are like "No one will even believe this madman if he sues me" and exploit us, and yes no one even believes us when we sue them. I was hospitalized for mental illness too and it's not uncommon for people like us being abandoned in those facilities too. I'm actually surprised that the author, more or less, knows what's up and portrays a realistic mentally ill plot. The common "I'm mentally ill, I have those thoughts in scary fonts, black colour and bold letters but almost everyone around me are supportive. Things got better after I opened up, took meds/therapy." representation of it goes only so far. Not one mentally ill is the same as another mentally ill. It's not logical to expect each mental illness portrayal to be consistent with your view of it.
Yes, we can see it that way but the author uses mental illness for dramatic romanticization.
I am also mentally ill, also have my fair share of experiences in psychiatric hospitals and I don't like how the plot and the characters handle the very vulnerable rehabilitant/ML candidate.
This isn't about him at all but the stereotypical MC/Uke who is sad and still clinging on an unhealthy friendship.

The "Crazy" Woman Trope, Explained
I think this is the first fantasy father who is actually still very apologetic for trying to kill or harm his own daughter! He keeps redeeming himself for his own daughter.
When I look at many other tyrant fathers they ve never actually apologized or really expressed guilt for mistreating, threaten or almost killing with their own hands their baby daughter on a whim.
You know the trope: MC/FL is reborned as the baby daughter of a cruel bloodthirsty tsundere tyrant who looks down her first and plays with the thought of eliminating her.
Or he ignores her and then later threatens her sometimes with death.
FL has to use her cuteness and charm to butter up/win over her alphahole dad. And then the soften dad will spoil her with everything luxurious he can give her...
The FL always has to suffer the most or do emotional labor to reform the tsundere ML/father... It doesn't sit right with me!!!
I don't care that Claude with a tortured soul from "Suddenly Became a Princess One Day" had a shitty dark childhood due to his scum brother or that brother has been hypnotizing /influencing him the whole time. It does not excuse the fact that he mistreated and executed his own daughter in the original timeline and he almost done the same thing more than once to the MC!!! I think even before the older alive brother began to manipulate his mind , Claude was already very biased against his own child!
Why are there readers who keep defending him???
Another shit trope: Father blames the birth of the daughter for death of his beloved woman. He neglects/shuns her and she desperatedly craves for his love until her tragic death...
The father in "Father, I Don't Want to Get Married!" had more willpower and intelligence than Claude not to harm his daughter while he was being controlled by a corrupted king.
There is "Youngest Princess"... Even though the father and brothers idolized the MC for me they are too arrogant, pretentious, possesive, psychotic and bloodthirsty. They treat everyone who is not their precious star princess like shit.
I prefer the more sympathetic father in "Monster Duke's Daughter" and "The Archmage's Daughter"
I FELT that Claude bit, I honestly can't read the webtoon because I just hate him like he has no reason to be that SHITTY. In every timeline sis is trying her bestest and he couldn't atleast givea shit cause he went through shit. Like fuck him and even that brown hair girl who gets alot of hate, honestly shes not the best character but I can't blame her for wanting a family.
I think this is the third time where she almost died or hurt herself due to her two left feets.
The actual novel's heroine is more competent, grounded and reasonable than her! She is even the one who see through ML's power, warns FL and suggests that ML has feelings for FL.... FL can't really protect herself at all....
I ve read the spoilers about this story and I can't relate to the trope anymore that these two MCs were either reincarnations of special chosen people, former gods, children of highly valuable powerful origins/heroes/extinct race or fated lovers from past lives...
Why do the authors make the FL + ML more special and important than they already are?
Always revealing in a plot twist that their true origin is all that matters and will change/save the world...
A good example: Rey from Star Wars was supposed to be a nobody abandoned by worthless parents but then in the third movie it is revealed she is the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine. Which means Rey is defined by her bloodline after all and not by her own strenght.
I think it's just wish fulfillment. That thought that even the most ordinary of ppl can be someone that's undeniably special is attractive. I see it happen most with chinese webnovels where the protagonist is always the hidden child of the most powerful family that got lost for whatever reason. It's really counter intuitive since they all need to prove themselves as someone worthy to respect but then takes a shortcut and gain the respect of everyone by lineage. Complete 180, turns out you need to be born special lol
The manhuas always spice things up with more and more convoluted plots/arcs and very stupid evil jealous bitches and power hungry greedy psychotic assholes.
And what attracts them like flies to manure is the perfect beautiful powerful most desirable tsundere ML and the FL who suddenly becomes a popular Mary Sue who is slightly inferior to her man.
This story is so much happier than the webtoon "Killer Stall"!
If you like Sakamoto Days, you might as well read "Even Assassins can't kill BBA today".

Super powerful badass scary grandma who can fend off any assassins^^
Even though Kaoru has some conservative ideas like becoming young enough to be desirable for marriage in another world, wants to find a husband to spread her genes etc...
She has been destroying the patriachal society/system mercilessly so far. There are lots of events where she doesn't give a damn about the societal norms or rules in her new world.
Well she does follow the law and order of this world as long it makes sense to her. But she also uses this rules against those who are out of line/rude towards her.
She changes and interrupts the status quo around her very cunningly.
How would you describes Kaoru's personality? Would you consider a feminist or progressive character despite some of her current conservative values?
I really like Kaoru for being a smart badass but the character is also hypocritical.
She wished for the ability to create any potions because she dislikes murdering people and freely potion making can't harm people. But as already demonstrated she can blow up or poison several people with her potions/mist/cloud. In the end she is no real pacifist.
I think the author made a mistake with its writing and consistencies.
There are unfortunately flaws in the storytelling...
