There is the great 2 seasons British series called Fleabag. The MC is messed up modern woman who makes shitty mistakes and suffers the consequences of her bad decisions.
Her worst choice was sleeping with the boyfriend of her best loyal friend which leads her to an accidental suicide - Originally wanted to make her cheating bf guilty by getting involved in a car accident. The death of her bff takes such a toll on her that she totally breaks down with suicidal thoughts in the end.
In season 2 she decides to improve herself and become a more a responsible competent person. She learns from her mistakes.
Compared to Fleabag, Jihyun is just too unrelatable and inhumane.
He doesn't feel any guilt for what he did to Chiwoo, only self-pity and the psychotic fear of being all alone! Did he make any real effort to make amends??! I don't think so!
And his punishment is just feeling miserable alone without the love of his life in his privileged rich lifestyle.... He may have a shitty neglectful dad but his older brother never give up on him!

That chapter extra 1 was really unnecessary. Kohei is one of the worst selfish fuckboy that I ever seen. It makes him so much unlikable that he blackmails and manipulates his naive gay uncle into letting his own apartment becomes a love hotel for Kohei's several conquests... And it doesn't help that his uncle Rin is such a pushover and conveniently virginal for four years. What an unfair power dynamic!
Ryo (ML of Chika) on the other hand is so much more progressive!

Dipshit Kohei however is just a classic entitled spoiled alphahole rapist who gets rewarded for being a dick by exploiting and harmig a weaker counterpart!

I mean...speaking as a writer myself...while I do refer to my OC's as "like children to me"....I write them with traits that "attract" me aka traits I like to see in characters (aka being a trickster, mysterious, kind, etc.). Calling your own characters (OC's) your "children" is often just a fun and silly way of addressing them as your creations. It doesn't actually mean you see them as kids or that you consider yourself their "mommy" and/or "daddy". It's just an endearing way of saying "I like my characters so much I might as well consider them my children or something".
Not only that but I'm pretty sure the main character of this piece designed the male lead to /purposely/ be attractive to her because that's kiiiind of what writers do - write about the types of characters that are attractive to them (be it characters that are physically attractive or just have attractive personalities). It only makes sense for her to fall in love with him if she not only knows and understands him, but designed him with the intent of him being attractive to her. Writers in the real world do this so it's no surprise that, if given the chance to meet their original character, many would end up falling in love with them.
So summary: Speaking as a writer, when writers call their own characters "their children"/"their babies"/etc. they Do Not Mean It Literally. They mean it as a way of fondly addressing the fact that said characters are their own creations. Not only that but many writers tend to design characters they find attractive to themselves. So, if a writer is sent to the world their creations live in and comes to face with those attractive characters, you can BET any writer would jump on the opportunity to be lovey-dovey with the characters they've created that tailor to their own interests.
*should also note that this manga is a more realistic take on the "creator meets creation" piece in that the MC is aware her creations are fake but, upon realizing she's trapped in this world, has come to see them as living individuals to the point they are in-differentiable to human beings in her world. That is especially important in this piece because if she, the creator, sees her creations as being human and /alive/, of course she's going to develop feelings for characters who feel like real live people and adjust from her world to theirs. If they were 4D caricatures or it was blatantly obvious they can't mimic basic human behavior (think every dumb AI in games ever), the MC would still think of her characters as puppets she can control and have fun with but, because this story heavily implies the world she's now in is REAL, she can no longer stay in the thought process of "these are my creations I can tinker around with and not feel sadistic about it" and instead is now in the thought process of "oh shit these are real living human beings who don't function solely off a script I've written so I gotta be careful about the repercussions of my actions now".
So, adding that to the narrative we've got going so far, it adds further sense that the MC is falling in love with her own creation because now she's viewing him less as her creation and more as an actual human being (which, as far as we can tell, he is no different from an actual person. In fact, you'd be really hard-pressed at this pt to get me to believe he's an AI despite the story so far contradicting me otherwise because of how /human/ he acts).
(also sorry for the long tangents but as a writer I understand A LOT of what this author is trying to accomplish with her main character and her MC's creations and it's actually a really really REALLY good take on the creator & creation subgenre as well as pretty damn realistic because if I was in the MC's position with my own characters, I'd probs feel the same way towards my own characters lmao especially since they are designed around my interests just as much as hers are)

But after a while she decided return to because she misses her ML. We also see the other reason why she wants to go back to that reality is because she can't deal with the real world and how miserable lonely her private life is.
I don't really like the message that you should rather go to the more exciting dream world where there are two or three people developing feelings for you than improve your own situation in the real world.
I am sure there will be an upcoming far fetched explaination or revealation why her AI world and characters have become sentient beings with their own lives.
For instance, it turns out that world already existed or an entity felt bored and inspired by MC ideas and decided to make her virtual story real...

We have an average kind girl who is very adaptive and very competent in her own way.

Yea i liker her for those reasons too. Its a nice change of pace once in a while, and no magical cooking too which is also weirdly a nice change considering how cooking could be seen as a more “mediocre” task in these worlds
Don't get me wrong, I like the story of "The Youngest Princess" and the fact the King and his sons don't abuse the MC like in other story trope "reincarnated as a neglected princess in a very abusive patriarchal Royalfamily".
But Charlotte's story is more unique, progressive and badass. She independently goes her own way, isn't bound by any (social) rules and doesn't have to kiss the asses of any royalties to survive!
Her weirdness and competence makes her very formidable in any situations.
I view her so much stronger than the Enisha Lodgo Hyperion.
By the way, is it possible "The Youngest Princess" is kinda a rip off "Charlotte Has Five Disciples"?

Well they have different author story and art style.
The similarities could be due to just the aspect of how the creator wants the story to go like how a cliche is, they are overall the same concept but leave a sort of different effect on the reader so to speak. So you may see this as a “rip off” but I see it as using a certain plot to create a story which may or may not be similar to another that also wants to use similar storylines cause I’ve see plenty of reincarnation ones that are almost identical in how they appear but just because they are similar doesn’t make them the same, you know what I mean?
If both stories have obviously similarities you can't help but compare.

I think she’s pretty respectable the last chapter just shows how much work she’s putting into being a mother for 4 children. She’s pretty admirable in that way. Plus, if nothing happened to her, this manga would be pretty boring. Though I wouldn’t mind reading a manga about domestic life in the demon lord's castle.
