the ending wasn't that baddddd HSJAJSHS i was so nervous looking through the comments i thought the author just completely went fuck it and left the side couple unhappy or some shit—THEY MET AGAIN. it should be obvious what happens next. YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. it doesn't need to be told (aside from the fact that the author chose to leave it to your imagination and relied on the art of story telling rather than stating the obvious) the gray haired dude (forgot his name already fuck) obviously bears some lingering feelings with sunwoo(?) and vice versa. HECK I MEAN HE GOT SO BOTHERED THINKING THEY'LL MEET AGAIN. and based on how sunwoo(?) addressed him, you know, like the old times, obviously hints that things haven't changed on his side either. THEN WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
THEY STILL FUCKING
i pushed off reading this (this has been in my reading list for days until now) because some of the comments really put me off. i read that the fl was annoying and selfish and other things that i wouldn't normally be able to tolerate while reading so i didn't touch this until now.
but reading it (im still on ch 28), that wasn't the case at all.
i was so mad at the comments that ive read before, calling her selfish and such for treating her child like that. but who can actually blame her for what happened to her?
yes, both of them married out of convenience, or at least that's what the fl thought. her husband seemed to have genuine feelings for her but he sure as well DID NOT conveyed it properly. yeah, sure you like her, you want her, you treasure her, BUT DOES SHE KNOW THAT? nope. she doesn't.
all this time she was doing things for others, none for herself. (this is why i ws so mad at the comments saying she was selfish) she thought she'll finally be happy now that she's married and has a child, but mind you that bearing a child is not a walk in the park. THAT and she experienced a lot of mourning, stress and anxiety which is already too much for a pregnant lady like her. she experienced all of that WITHOUT her husband with her.
i cant even imagine how hard it is to go through THAT kind of experience, thinking you can lean on someone but when you need them they're not there??? not only that, when her husband was gone, she was being treated like an outsider, like a stranger—bet they even treat their guests better than that.
then she bear a child and suddenly she's being told "your body isn't yours anymore" (or something like that) LIKEEE she was just their just to produce an heir and she wasn't needed anymore. who would stay sane after all of that??
and now she has to take care of a child. she's still young herself but has to carry all of that burden with her. she felt like that because she was unstable, she was clearly not doing ok mentally and instead of helping her, she was treated like a crazy woman. literally everyone in that household drove her mad. i wouldn't even be surprised if she was slowly poisoned by a servant inside, thinking she wasn't any good to be the duchess anymore. sigh.
i feel so bad for her.
I agree!! I was reluctant to read it cause the comments were like 'FL is selfish', i was so mad at people after i read the webtoon. She isn't selfish at all. Her story made me so sad. She had to go through so much and when she needed her husband most, he wasn't there. The vassals continued to ignore her. I am actually mad at her husband. Like dude, you saying "now you're pretending to be a mother" have you ever tried to understand her. It's his own fault that he didn't convey his feelings properly. Why blame the FL. I get she wasn't being a good mother but that's exactly why she came back in time. And there was reason behind her behavior too. She knew her mistakes so was trying her best to be a better mom after she came back. She was so depressed during her pregnancy. I feel so bad for her.
i really thought she would be like those female leads who acts annoying and selfishly because of the comments, but i read the story description and thought maybe this was different and it was!! i don't like everyone just jumped go a conclusion that she's bad when it fact i can very much empathize with her.
i tried to translate chapter 11, someone provided chinese and Japanese raws in the comments. but i can barely understand mandarin and i have no clue about japanese but i can clean the raws and typeset!!
soooo if you can translate japanese or chinese, or if you know anyone, im available!!
that is... if the tl group abandoned this, but the last update was nov 2020 so i'll assume they did. i just want to read the rest ;-;
i really liked the ending before the epilogue(?) where kyungsoo thought he'll never be happy as long as yule is with him. i was satisfied with that closure, i think it's fitting with the whole theme of the story.
like,, he didn't exactly end up with yule but he's still there and lingering with him. i mean, considering what happened between them, it was never meant to end up on a happy note. it was kind of tragic, yes, but it's befitting.
so yeah, I'll pretend ch. 73 didn't exist lmao.
but yeah it's soooo sososo good. i was so happy when the author said they wanted to make yule the most evil he could ever get, authors reaching their goals with their stories and characters for me are *chef's kiss*
besides that, i was glad the author also didn't shy away from character flaws and went crazy with the storyline, good for them!! i mean, i was expecting the worst but still managed to get surprised. now that's a good story.
dhajsjs gaaaahh ive been avoiding this for so long, i kinda regret not getting to it sooner

idk what i was expecting tbh but reading the first couple of chapters, i was like "omg this has A LOT of potential angst" which i freaking love and then it went down the hill and straight to hell help
