Wouldn't it be ironic if the healthiest couple in this series was a deliquent sadist and a masochist? Despite the fact that they spend more of their "sex" time on percing the uke than on penetration, they seem like the most equal and loving couple so far (at least, towards each other). Of course, when we see the English translation, we may later find out that's not true--but I would kind of like it if it was.
I guess it would be a bit ironic for tatsumi and his bf to be the 'most equal' relationship unless were also including the couple from ch 9.5
I kind of thought the fluffy couple was sort of out of the regular story. But even that couple has cross-dressing and insulting language during sex, so I would still say the kinkiest couples are the happiest (in this series).
Karino: Says it is just a game; wants the uke to fight back.
Kuze: Says it is love; wants the uke to be totally dependent.
Yatori: Says nothing (most of the time); wants the uke to be totally dependent.

I find it interesting how many people take the card they by using violence or intimidation. Well, in this case, it was also manipulation (or rather, the fact that the other person did not really want the card). When I first read chapter one, I thought the worst bullying Azusa did was to take the card from Atsumu (the foul in B-ball was something I see happen in regular games, and people were volunteering for him to use them--he never really targeted a victim). We know a girl gave Kuze the jack card before the story started. Karino intimidated Kuze to look for a lower card and got what he wanted after threatening violence. We can see how the prep chose to trade cards in the chapter 11 raws. On top of that, some people seem to know the area where the card they want is located, so they can take it from people who get there first.
A stage magician gives the audience an illusion of picking a card while manipulating or forcing the card that gets picked. It seems people with RL status, strength and cunning manipulate these cards too. Of course, they do. I am thinking this is the real game.
Now that chapter 10. 5 is available in English, I'll say it confirmed what I thought about Yukari. He's the classic bully--the one who takes out his self-esteem issues on others who are weaker than him. He would do that no matter what school he was in. It's hard to feel sorry for him. I was pleasantly surprised that the one I was thinking of as "Pinky" from Pinky and the Brain" is a bit more devious than I had initially thought.
I will grant the "Karino feels for Azusa" people that in this extra, it at least shows that Azusa and Karino are always all about each other, no matter which roles they have. At least, that's how it seems to chicken boy.

Let's start with the admission that in any story, there are characters I like best and I read with a bias. Some people cheer of a given sports team. Other people follow a particular politician. I like certain fictional characters. In this manga, I love Azusa. So with that said, for me this extra was entertaining, but I didn't actually like either character in the pairing. Chapter 11 is also not about my fav, but at least the pictures make it seem as if the focus is on someone a bit twisted and complex. Chicken boy and his muscle are more like RL bullies I actually knew in high school. You can see the reasons why they are like the way the are, but the reasons are not that complex and it's hard for me to sympathize with them. There are some good moments in the extra, and it's worth reading, but I am still waiting for 11--and I really want the story to go back to Asuza. But that's just me. I know other people may like it.
I would say to me they were okay, but not my OTP. It's interesting, but not the best of the series.
Do you think that Nishigaki (the neighbor) wrote that "Life as a Prisoner" book Kurose tried to ask his dad about? And that is the same book that Nishigaki thought was boring?
Hm, could be! But I actually think Kurose asked his mother, if she read that book, because he sees her as a prisoner, being tied to her husband and her home.

Of course, Kurose's mom is an adult, so she has no excuse at all for being so self-involved. Somehow the way Kurose's mom is complaining about Kurose ruining her clothes to the father (as opposed to talking with Kurose about it) seems like a sibling tattling to get another kid in trouble. It's especially odd that she cuts off the conversation that was starting between Kurose and his dad over the book. It's like both the teen and the grown-ass woman were so jealous of the respective dads' attention that they would deprive the child. And both dads were all too quick to turn the attention away from the son and to the woman.

Then, Mr. Sleaze is also asking about Shingo, but not seriously. Additionally, Angelo wants to meet Jin, and neither Keiichi nor Jin's lover (can't think of his name atm, sorry) want Angelo near Jin.
But Jin describes Angelo as "a friend I can trust" (though obviously not with Jin). Neither "friend" nor "trust" were words I would have associated with Angelo based on what we have seen so far.

IKR- there are times where I seriously suspect (forgive me!) that the mangaka changes her mind or loses track about characters or subjects, f.ex. scent. Hopefully, I'll be proved wrong.

First, I like this manga and the mangaka. If not, I would not bother discussing the story. However, sometimes I want to talk to other readers because we interpret things differently. Additionally, sometimes a certain aspect of a story I like bothers me, or I think one part of a chapter isn't as good as the mangaka's previous work. It's okay to talk about these things with other readers. It doesn't indicate disrespect for the mangaka unless I say something about the mangaka or imply I think she should care what I think. I am just talking with other readers.
It is highly unlikely that the mangaka comes to a site which hosts unauthorized scanlation and reads what nonpaying English speakers think. It's possible some mangakas believe everyone who reads here for free is stealing their work. Even if they don't, we are not paying customers since though some also buy, we don't pay for this site and neither publishers nor mangakas make any money off this site directly (though there may be some incidental money from people who read and then buy--maybe). Their target market is primarily people who buy their mangas in Japan. There is no reason they should care what we think.
Everything posted here is to other readers. I like the mangaka a lot, but this chapter was not my favorite. Some readers liked the way it was. Others not so much. Why shouldn't we discuss it?
