idkkk man i feel like i need to re-read the whole stuff just to get the feeling, but idk if i want to put myself for such an exhausting journey like this again,,,, and i feel like there are some stuff that i feel like are unsolved? or is it because the ending just feels so bittersweet? idk, i hope the side story can give me a little bit more closure. i want to know more about minhyuk's ending too.

like this has potential but i feel like im missing something. is it the writing? i feel like it is

the conflict is there. there's also a little bit of action. it's just that this is a problem with a lot of yaoi / sex focused story. the sex just happens because of it? it's not a result of something brewing or showing any sign that it will effecting something. like you can take out the sex scene and it won't effecting the plot so it just makes it so bland? it kinda disturb any point the author wants to say. ig it's ashame, bcs at first the plot looks pretty intriguing.

yeon-oh really stood up from himself there!!! i remember it was really painful for him when he fell for mr. kwon and he just dismissed it, and never even consider yeon-oh feeling, not even once. he's not going to get away with it after one confession, so true!!! absolutely love the tension. let's see how it goes.

finally, the good part. the angst i've been waiting for. i wouldn't be surprise if the flashback is gonna be the whole arc for season 2. it doesn't seems like it's gonna end for at least 3-5 more chapter.
i don't mind this flashback but i wasn't too keen on their relationship here bcs well the taehyuk in the past multiple times said no. i'm afraid hyo-un is gonna put the orb on taehyuk in order to save him (if he died, and it will not work ofc taehyuk will still be dead) but i do hope it's taehyuk himself that like consented or wants the orb. bcs if it was "by force" meaning the present taehyuk is basically enchanted to be his mate and his feelings might not be from him 100%. the better ending is taehyuk died without eating the orb bcs hyo-un also feels guilty about giving it to him? for fabricating taehyuk's love for him? so that all of the affection taehyuk has for hyo-un in present time all comes from himself. that's why hyo-un also can't remember what taehyuk face look like. he has zero connection to the past. this is all just a theory ofc

I’m betting he won’t be able to give the orb to Taehyuk. We see in chapter 47 he is still practicing to focus his power and form the orb. He’s still not able to finish it’s creation. I think Hyo-un will be heavily drained due to his constant practice to form the orb and Taehyuk will die before Hyo-un can give it to him. He’ll just be too weak.
As for his loss of memory. I think that’s due to his prolonged sleep and possibly the emotional trauma that caused his slumber. The mind can block out traumatic memories to protect itself. At the end of season 1 it seemed Hyo-un’s sickness may have been his mind or dragon spirit attempting to “fix” him.
Just guessing of course but the hints give me this impression.
it's really hard to root for the mc with the main seme who's a manipulative, homophobic, controlling, and obsessive asshole, while there is a potential second seme who's normal, caring and not a freak but you know they are not gonna end up together bcs the author just randomly give the guy a boyfriend? while we never see him, heard the bf from his mouth, or have any hint that he's seeing anyone. it's so weird. the story is *almost* good it's just that there is some stuff that's just lacking of depth so i can't resonate with the characters. i really wish the author put a name or make it more clear of seme's mental illness. like how the author of "Rivalry" does to the seme. the mental illness he has not only affecting him but also the people close to him like his boyfriend and his mum! mean while in this story it just seems like the author is using the mental illness as an excuse for seme to act so obsessive while he's being.... homophobic. it's so shallow and i hated it.
also one more thing that frustrates me: a simple "why?" from the uke can cut like 15 chapter of this. "why are you controlling me like this?" "why are you keep asking me to stay with you?" "why did you not like my roommate?" "why are you jealous? we are just friends. is it normal for you to be jealous to someone i have a crush with?" it's soooo frustrating he also just went along with it.
i'm still gonna read this until the end, deep inside hoping the uke ended up with the hyung instead lol. but the chances of that is super slim. let's just see where this is going. if it's not getting better i will ended up dropping this.
Think there's a lil hint the the hyung is seeing someone, as far as I remember it's a txt or something
The hyung is already dating someone, unfortunately … even if he was single, in those types of stories, Mc usually ends up with the more toxic option
oh it's not a hint anymore the hyung said it himself that he has a boyfriend lol. it's just that it's weird we never really get any hint prior of him mentioning he has a boyfriend. like he doesn't give a vibe that he is in a relationship. it just seems like out of no where, and prior to that it kinda feels like his action can be interpreted as flirting (this is basically me criticizing how the author write a character)
yeah i know the hyung is dating someone if you read my rant properly hahaha. unfortunately that's true but a girl can hope. it's annoying when the author put another option for love interest who's much interesting and less crazy than the main love interest but you knew they are not gonna be a canon ending.
Tbh it's good enough that the author included mental illness on ML briefly than other authors who just make their ML become unusual obsessive with MC.(● ̄(エ) ̄●)
I also noticed how the author keep putting vague details, it's like they're trying to hold back some details. So, Im waiting for this roller coaster! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
in my opinion, it's not good enough because i feel like the mental illness was a second thought. like, the character (seme) was not written based on the mental illness he has. the author first wants the seme to be obsessive, and then search for a reason why he is obsessive, not the other way around. get it?
have you read "Rivalry" before? that webtoon is such a masterpiece and has a really good portrayal on someone who has has a mental disorder. the seme is basically an example on how you write the character based on what disability he has. the comparison is so contrast. bcs that means you have done your research first, then apply the knowledge you have when writing those character. i did not get the same feeling when i read this webtoon.
here's a comment for someone who had the same mental disorder as the seme in "Rivalry" https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/14965281/ and i think that says a lot.
at this point i still can't tell what mental disorder our seme has. is he on a autism spectrum? sociopath? so far the author hasn't put a name on it or make it distinguish enough that we can tell what mental disability he has.
i am sorry for the long rant. i'm just tired seeing authors made asshole semes and using mental illnes/disorder as a justification for their action (usually hurting our uke). the least you can do is do a proper research bcs it sucks seeing some mental illness being portrayed so poorly in these webtoon. i do hope we will get more info on our seme, let's just see.
It is a second thought for this manhwa. I agree on that. However, I also understand the author want to prioritise the main plots instead of focusing unnecessary(in eyes of author) small details regarding mental illness at the moment.
I actually don't mind of them doing that IF their main plots are not heavily focus on mental illness. For example, the main characters don't repeatedly thinking or saying about their mental illness and it's just their shitty behaviour thanks to their environment, I don't mind.
If their main plots are more to mental illness manhwa such as Rivalry and Form of Sympathy, then I do mind.
I did read Rivalry(not completely) but it's abit mild for me that I kinda forgot what his mental illness.
I think he have mild psychopath disorder cuz I watch a video(dunno if it's documentary or not) that sociopath disorder mostly due to environment while psychopath is becuz they born that way. I may be wrong tho.
I don't mindd. It's refreshing to see serious comment once in a while. I guess that's how people in Korea perceive mental illness.
Nope before he said it, there's a scene that he keeps looking on his phone but yea not very explicit hint and to me (my speculation only lmao) i don't think the author wants the hyung to be second male lead it's giving me a vibes that the author wanted a 2nd couple. IDK MAYBE MY IMAGINATION IS RUNNING WILD TDTVYFDYVTF I WAS ACTUALLY IMAGINING THAT THE HYUNG IS DATING A OFFICE WORKER OR BUSINESS MAN
