Why did the father’s attitude do a complete 180? Also she should have been honest to the dad from the first time he showed affection and invited her to the lunch. I’d be cowering but also sobbing because I was longing for ANY kind of affection from that gorgeous man.
And in the chapter where he decides to come home earlier than expected, he acted as if he never caught wind of his daughter’s loneliness from him constantly being away. He was fucking absent for her birthdays, holidays and her freaking debutante!! Wtf!!!?

Noble facade. It's clear the villain of the first timeline is the king and also the aristocrats who wants them (duke vs king) to clash (like the count guy who visits the king). First timeline was a frame up. King was testing the waters if duke will rebel. Duke suggested her daughter to stay on that prison (which is rumored no one can enter for her safety) as a net he gave her a dagger to protect herself. But the child misunderstood it. CP enter the prison on a pretense to torture her (not true) I bet he was there to rescue her. It seems CP was patiently waiting for the Duke to come to his side so his coupdetat will not fail. The princess use the excuse that she was poisoned to hit two stones (duke and crown prince). I think the aristocratic faction is led by her ex the marquis and you know what kind of ending will happen if they prevail. Puppet government.

This is intense. Why do I imagine this is what it’d be like if a hufflepuff turned villainous.
It’s oddly satisfying.

No no no . THISB IS the other side of the hufflepuff coin. When you bend it so far back that they break and snap. (And they’ve got a lot of trust and patience and loyalty so to do this...you had to do something mental which these people really did)
Gryffindor Villain - holier than thou attitude with the penchant for recognition mmmmm....I would say in mangas like this evil church members who abuse power to “cleanse” people bc they are “dirty” beings as one example. (Tbh dumbledoor is a great example of a gryffindor villain. He’s f**** up and you know it yet he is still supposed to be perceived as the mighty wizard and thrived off it just saying)
Ravenclaw - order must be brought to all this chaos and therefore will subjugate you. Or like that scientist in that one arc who was experimenting on humans with no regard for life purely bc she wanted to produce the results and “creation” she had in her imagination.
Slytherin- greed, pride, and most of all power. The lust for power is strong pretty much like most greedy ass politicians, nobles, conglomerate people. That’s why draco, his dad mom, and most slytherins b roaming around in drip.
But our hero here wants none of those. He wants justice for the victims of the empire’s abuse. They were needed to be destroyed for people to live more peacefully. (Also his own personal veangance of the wrongdoings that were done upon him,his loved ones, and his comrades)

I would say the guy from rise of the shield hero is also very very similar. though he doesn't repay it as sadistic and is more long term run...his motives are pretty much the same. it's so interesting. if you haven't read it do it!
they even turned it into an anime. I'm hoping for season 2 but idk if that'll happen.
