I can't help but compare it to the actual novel and the ending just feels super rushed and cuts the story so much that it's frustrating. . . You don't get to see any of Chikayuki's kids or find out how he got transmigrated to the world of beast men in the first place
I do love the comic in its own way but I'm just really upset by the final chapters :"

Yeah totally! Here's the link :

It's in Japanese but my browser auto-translates so it's not too troublesome for me, but I'm sorry if it doesn't work for you cuz idk if it's been properly translated anywhere >.<

I've been reading the novel from here.

What I found really interesting was how short the consensual sex scenes were compared to the non con ones
Also, one of the comments below was like "30 chapters of rap and 6 of justifications and falling in love" but then the justifications weren't even that good?
I mean, raping him to "break down his walls" or whatever is absolutely absurd
He totally could have been pushy and inserted himself into his life, and they even could have had a purely physical relationship sparked by the whole massage thing, but it did not have to be non-con for 83% of the story
Or they could have at least properly addressed it or could have had a moment where Maki expresses that he genuinely took it too far and the other guy is forced to genuinely reflect and apologize and grow
Anywho this is at least my second time reading this, I saw an old comment I made on here about the toes and felt the need to reread cuz I'd completely forgotten the story lol

OMFG DID HE JUST JACK OFF TO HER PAINTING? THAT'S WHY HE WANTED IT? TF?
I'm not surprised tho, honestly I love to read about this kind of dark and obsessive love, I'm just hoping that it'll end happily cuz this type of love is mostly seen in tragedies or psychological stories

Well I mean . . . I don't know if like the stuff in the floor is jizz (in fact I don't think it is)
Pretty sure it's just sweat cuz it shows the clear liquid on the floor and then it shows his face, but he's sweaty and not very tearful looking
And like what could he possibly be doing sitting down in front of her portrait that's makin him sweat so much?

I was so excited to read this because it's so cool to find stories that address gender and sexuality experiences in different ways
But it is so difficult to read the chapters done by whatever translation group this is. I find the imagery they use disturbing and grotesque and I hate how they treat the entire comic like something inherently perverse.
Especially when it comes to the way the seme expresses his gender non conformity.
I mean, I KNOW it's a smut comic, but if you actually read it, there is way more emphasis on the characters, their emotions and relations with one another than on the smut scenes (and even the smut does such a great job with depicting the sensuality and very human interaction between the two of them!)
But yeah, it just feels incredibly disrespectful --especially how they seem to be viewing being trans or dressing in drag as something inherently perverted and dirty (I know he's hot, but this is just giving catcalling-old-man vibes)
Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one upset by how old the baby looks . . .
I was honestly disappointed to see the art style of the comic beyond the cover and promo, but I just decided to move on and keep reading
But yeah, this artist needs to do a study on babies and newborns because yikes
I think one of the biggest issues is how like . . . Skinny they drew the body? cuz babies are usually pretty chunky and round but this baby's body is just too well articulated
