No but I actually kinda hate her new haircut -u-
Don't get me wrong, the haircutting scene was super cute but it looks silly when she constantly only has part of the short cut tucked behind her ears and I also don't like that it's stick straight when the rest of her hair is wavy. It makes enough sense for the longer parts to be straight on top with the weight of the rest of her hair pulling it down, but with it cut like that, it should be a little fluffy/wavy or just have at least a little movement in it that is just straight down. Her bangs had always bothered me but I could give it a stylistic pass but not this
Also, even just how it's drawn the cut looks uneven which makes sense in context but still doesn't look great lol.

Anywhooo, this is just my opinion ofc and I still love the story and the art style, and it doesn't really bother me that much, I just wanted to share my thoughts :>

I agree 100%. Like if he just cut the pieces bordering her face then I think that wouldn't be too bad, but those pieces she keeps tucked behind her ears urk me. I'd rather see her hair completely short than look like the hair stylist stopped cutting her hair halfway.
I think he was starting to go for a Bob which would explain why the front frills are longer than the ones behind her ears, but it honestly just looks so awkward with the rest of her hair that long.

WHERE THE FUCK WAS THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TAG?!?!

Realistically, growing up and being essentially groomed under these conditions, I don't thing he'd be able to properly mentally develope in the way he did
Because regardless of how he "agrees" to be treated, he has the mental cognition of a grown adult who understands his own will opposed to what he was groomed to think and believe, which likely wouldn't have happened considering how he grew up being isolated from anyone who would treat him like a proper human being and so had no way to disillusion himself with how he'd been raised.

I think in a young child to pre teen especially, this could set in as a mindset where he believes that it's normal to be treated this way because of what he is and how his "friends" would abandon him for being abnormal would reaffirm these beliefs that it's something inherently wrong with himself and that people could see as soon as they got close to him. He also wouldn't understand that how he responds to his brother is abnormal because he'd been taught from such a young age, which furthers my point that he probably wouldn't understand fully why his friends would leave him and instead of blaming it on what he was doing, attribute it to who/what he is.

But he exhibits an understanding that he is supposed to be independent and has and does express his own desires to an extent. I believe that even his willingness to follow instructions comes from a place that is trying to create the illusion of control. He does believe that he has no real choice in the matter, which is why he agrees regardless of how he feels, to make it feel like he at least has that much control over his personal autonomy. But he still has enough mental development to understand that he has personal feelings and the power to say no, he just seems to fear the consequences.

Now I'm not saying it would be impossible to break from these learned patterns of thought, but it would take a seriously dedicated support system and I don't think it's something he could break free from so suddenly.

Also, realistically (and unfortunately), if the abuse were to develop to this extent sexually, it likely would have begun at a much much younger age (likely in early puberty), making the groomed behaviour ingrained that much deeper. His brother has had access and control over his victim for so long, he wouldn't have felt the need to suppress himself and respectfully wait until they were adults.

These are just my initial thoughts tho :>
I only read it once and I don't plan on reading it again to dive any deeper -u-

The characters seemed pretty okay ig and I enjoyed reading their developments
But this "school" has managed to invent a misogynistic patriarchy (except instead of men and women, it's tops and bottoms) in which the students' status is almost entirely determined by their value as sex objects
Kinda gross, and I kinda hate it but I still was able to mostly enjoy the story
And I realize I'm just griping and that it is (for the most part) harmless fiction (tho kind uncomfy with the amount of people saying how great this school is - probably just fujioshis nonsense I hope?)
Anywho, just my thoughts :P

    i totally agree with this!
