I understand those who feel weird and grossed out cuz it feels pedo
But what I don't understand is the people in defense saying he's an adult . . .? I don't remember an age being stated and if I'm not wrong, he was still a kid living with his parents when he died and was transfered to this other world
Idk how long he was in the other world or how old he was before he was reincarnated (sorta?) so ig he could be 18, but it still feels like a stretch :V

This topic seems to have people at odds so idk, thought I'd share my take on it
I thought it was weird how he describes how he "fell in love with a child" and I was kind of put off
But there are different kinds of love and it seems like the love he had for Subaru as a child was that similar to a parent's or close family member's (I'm not sure if either of those examples are quite right but Subaru was someone that brought joy into his life and that he grew attached to and treasured)
I don't think his feelings were inherently sexual or romantic until Subaru came back as an adult and made those advances first (and he didn't reciprocate at first because those feelings of romance and sexual desire weren't there in the beginning)
He's only able to fully reciprocate once he's adapted to Subaru as an adult and stopped thinking of him as a child
This is just my interpretation that helped me to thoroughly enjoy this story but I understand if others disagree or interpreted it differently <3

I feel like Neil should just tell Dustin about the deal he made with his dad?
Like if he's up front about it and makes it clear that he's doing it to help with Peach and that he'll help Dustin with school and studying, I think Dustin would understand and possibly even appreciate it
But with him hiding it, when it inevitably comes out Dustin will feel lied to and betrayed for drama reasons
The only real problem with the contract is the spying thing but if he were upfront with Dustin and they just TALKED about it . . .
Idk fuck drama in fiction.
