Idk the writing felt really rough and this definitely wasn't my favorite
The first story really bothered me, especially how the portrayed their feelings as invalid if they didn't risk everything and come out of the closet publicly (and how the sister really pushed this narrative - she was just extremely toxic and I kinda hate her)
Having to hide who you are and your relationship can definitely put a strain on things, but exposing yourself and your lover can make being together far more difficult
Ik it's a case by case thing and that they might be happier to be out that hiding, but whether or not a couple is out to their friends, family or the public doesn't make their feelings any less valid
And the sister had no right to insinuate any such thing or meddle in their relationship at all
Aside from that, the plot had an interesting concept but was poorly executed and the "reality show" bit didn't really make a lot of sense to me
(All things said, this is just my opinion ofc)
Yaknow, where the bottom passes out after doing it and the top doesn't wake up in the morning to him sneaking off and things don't get discussed and the lack of communication conveniently prolongs the drama
I understand from a writing perspective and I don't like automatically hate the stories that use it but it's just really frustrating TuT
Idk if "trope" was really the right word tho . . . Maybe "plot device"? Or "cliche"? Tho I don't believe it's overused to the point of being a cliche . . .
I dunno :P
