Either his hole is looser than a broken dog door or this author doesn’t understand the mechanics of anal sex.
There is 0 chance he would have slept through being freshly penetrated with no lube fro what we saw. He’d be in agony even if pain was his thing he would be able to sleep throug that.
I don’t get why these authors use rape as vehicle to love it’s not. Also have sex with one dude doesn’t not make you suddenly gay unless you’ve repressed single same sex attraction your whole life. If anything he bisexual.
Also as this has gone on Taekjoo has gotten dumber and dumber…he started off feeling like the cool agent he’s supposed to be…now he just feels like a bumbling stooge it’s not working for me.
I get your comment bc you're totally right but I think Taekjoo was knocked out after eating. he tried to escape on a kayak and then swim against the waves. in the manhwa didn’t looked that bad but in the novel was described how his body couldn't with the impact of the waves, he was *crushed*. ofc he would be in agony if he's getting raped but he wasn’t just sleeping, he was totally unconscious after the exhausting and failed escape attempt (I'm just giving the info in case you wanna know ^^)
This guy acts like Dohu killed his dog or something. He used you as a muse something many very famous artists do.
It’s fine if you don’t like it and are hurt by it but to act like Dohu is some serial abuser is so melodramatic. Especially considering Juheon was using Dohu as a salve for his mommy issues as well.
By all account Dohu was a good person and great partner who has some admittedly obtuse quirks. But he’s real about them. He had a single lie of omission and Juheon explodes….is your care and trust that fragile?
We all “usel” each other whether lovers, friend, or foe. It is the very nature of what it means to be in relation to another person. It’s not inherently a bad thing.
For instance If you find joy and pleasure in a friend in a way you are using each other to making each other happy.
I don’t know what relationships you have with others but normal people don’t use each other without the other knowing for their own gain. Juheon has been used his whole life by others so when he found out his lover only approached him to use him for inspiration, he had every right to be hurt, mad and leave. That’s SUCH a shitty thing to do to someone, so it doesn’t mean jack if Dohu ended up gaining real feelings for him later on. His intent was to use him and that’s it.
I think you're the exception here dawg. Plus "using" isn't inherently a bad thing either. Just thinking, "I feel happy when I'm with (Person A) I should see them more often," is using them. Its not that deep, everyone has a reason for approaching you. Its what they do after thats a biggie, and while I do agree Juheon has right to he upset. I don't this situation is as black and white as you're making it out to be.
I get why juheon was mad, but like. Idk if the author just left most of it out but I dont even remember dohu writing anything about juheon except fricken hashtags lmfao. Yes he approached him to use him as inspiration, but it’s obvious once they started hanging out like past the movie date that dohu wasn’t hanging out with him because he wanted to use him, he just liked being with him. Especially after they had sex, it makes no sense for him to do all of this just to use him, the only reasoning could be that he’s autistic/neurodivergent and thinks differently from other people like juheon, but that’s never directly addressed besides saying ‘you don’t even understand emotions.’ Which, okay, if you believe that, then why the hell are you mad at him? How is it his fault if he can’t understand emotions the same way everyone else does? That just means you need to communicate even more clearly. Which juheon didn’t let him do (although dohu also didn’t go out of his way either, so I believe they’re both to blame)
Yes Dohu ended up liking juheon, and it wasn’t about getting inspo anymore but that’s literally the 2nd big problem with dohu. After dohu gained real feelings, he decided not to tell juheon why he initially approached him and his reasoning was that juheon would never find out anyway so why be truthful about it and complicate things. Juheon is constantly getting used by people so he has trust issues, but he trusted Dohu and dohu knew that and he still chose not to tell the truth. He could have come clean and explained how his feelings are genuine now but he didn’t. He CHOSE not to, not even when juheon was crying and asking him for an explanation. That’s the problem and why juheon has a right to feel so betrayed. Especially since they were lovers which would obviously hurt more.
Im not making it black and white tho. Situations vary based on context, so I’m explaining why in this case juheon had the right to be so upset and why it actually was a big deal. Imagine getting used by people constantly so you never have a genuine friendship/relationship and then you finally meet someone who you decide to trust and you start dating, and then you find out they actually approached you for the same reason everyone else did- to get something from you. You would be livid. And yeah dohu genuinely ended up liking juheon, but the other problem is that he decided not to tell him the truth, or properly explain what happened even after juheon found out and was begging him to. So literally what is juheon supposed to think after that?
Just tore through the available chapters…..god this author is such a talent. They’ve really honed their art style from the first two works and crafted really beautifully nuanced charecter illustration.
It’s also so gratifying to see a woman depict gay men with such three dimensionality and depth. Her writing is just so respectful of humanity and really excellently depict how the hard knocks of circumstance shapes us.
I really really respect her work.
Tired of this entrapment trope. It never feels justified it’s not sexy, it’s not romantic, it’s just weird buffalo bill/Hannibal Lector shit.
It also always make the mc or bottom seem at best stupid at worst weak and complicit in a wildly unsafe “relationship” dynamic. It’s not a virtue to submit to this kind of person it’s dumb.
I’m glad we’re back to the plot. I feel like the entire ball and chain/shackle sequence was totally unnecessary.
If the author wanted h the MC and ML back together i feel like they should have avoided the kidnapping and imprisonment trope it makes this lovey dovey shit weird unjustified and like a whole bunch of context is missing.
