Do the overly dubbed Sailor Moon and Pokemon animes count? I watched them when I was a little kid. Otherwise first anime would be Mermaid Melody, it's the first one I watched in Japanese at least, when I was about 12. My first manga was either Happy Hustle High or Peach Fuzz, which I read at the school library around the same time. reply
My very first manga had to be the one and only Tokyo Mew Mew series. It was the biggest thing in my school back then and I was OBSESSED. I slowly found interest in other manga though and my obsession dissolved as I emersed myself in the forbidden genre of Yaoi.

I wouldn't be angry, probably just disappointed or hurt. Like, if it's my birthday, put SOME effort and thought into it. And I don't even like McDonald's. I'll eat there if I'm on a road trip or if I don't have very many choices but other than that I rarely ever go to it. 1 reply
First anime was probably Yu-Gi-Oh, Kirby, Ultimate Muscle, Mew Mew Power, or Magical DoReMi.. I watched a lot of 4Kids TV in the past.
And my first manga was wither Absolute Boyfriend or Skip Beat (I finished and caught up with these two manga around maybe 5 to 7 years after looking at a volume in my local library ╮(￣▽￣)╭). reply

14 y/o. I caught Descendants of darkness on television. The BL was subtle, so I thought the characters were just bromancing somewhat. I didn't know it was shounen ai. At the time, I was so innocent, I didn't have an inkling that BL existed. I thought manga was strictly black and white (for males and females)
