My first encounter with yaoi was through the shoujo manga HANA KIMI. One of the more prominent side characters was gay and the author included a brief-yet-steamy kiss scene that made my head explode. Cardcaptor Sakura. I think I was 5 yo then, I didn't even know what the show was called when I first came across it. One of its episodes left quite an impression on me at that time.
