Yes! I draw on and off, mostly off when I get tired of it or artblock. Learned myself with the help of tutorials and a mannequin (sits on my dresser now unused for years) that have pleased my improve from when I was 13. I always try to get better but end up falling back into a funk when things don't come out right.
Artblock is a hell of a thing. 1 reply
To start off with, let's introduce myself. I am a 23 year old woman and these experiences even go on in the present day. I even had an experience tonight before writing this. **This is an extremely long post, so if you do not have the time or will to read this, that is absolutely fine. As a library student, I live off detail, so I go into every...... 10 reply
As the title suggests, my first two pets were beta fish. Otherwise known as Japanese Fighting Fish.
The first one was named Figaro (from Disney's Pinocchio). I know the character is really a cat, and it's ironic. What can I say? I was in third grade when we got him/her. Figaro was a pretty ruby-red beta swimming around in a personal tank, ...... 1 reply
My friend lived in Tokyo for two years, she always says that the last japaneses generations are very fixated in appearance and age. Though they usually marry late, they want to be fit and young as much as they can. I don't know about other places, but South Korea is even more fixated on that - as you can see for their actors and actresses always lo...... 1 reply
I think it probably has to do with a large portion of the popular manga that we read here is Shounen and Shoujo. Those genres are meant for young teenagers, thats why the characters are teenagers themselves. To a teenager, a person in the 20's and 30's is old. 2 reply
Well i can't tell you something very in depth that goes into culture differences, but i can tell you that as someone in their early 20's with sisters starting/in high school, they call me old and i see how their friends see me as someone who is "old" LOL. Not only them, but to others that i mention friends that are in their late 20's, they also con...... 1 reply
I love it. Would marry it. The passion of my life. But when I got em artblock, oh well my dear friends, I would cry in the corner and tell myself I would never touch my pencil to draw anymore.
So yeah, like all those relationships, It's more like a love-hate relationship.
Complicated, I know. 1 reply
I keep reading so many stories where if the guy is over 26 he's being called old especially 30.. I don't get it, to me it's still considered young being 20's or early 30's. Is this a japanese culture?

I super love drawing! It's one of my hobbies that I never get bored. I actually never went to art class or saw any tutoring demos on how to draw, I just taught myself the time I started to get addicted with anime. Sometimes, whenever I think about it, I probably can't live without my ability to draw. And they say, anime doesn't teach you anything........ 1 reply

Of course, I always do, everyone knows I read yaoi at school and at home, so I'll just fangirl with 0 f*cks given (*´∇`*) one of my religious friends hates it and saw me read hardcore smut once, I laughed so hard (・∀・) reply
I read it in public, but not when someone is sitting quite close to me (like waiting rooms in hospitals and whatnot). I read it almost everywhere, even with family and at work; the latter being very risky since I have no partition whatsoever and anyone who pauses behind me can clearly see the screen of my big assed phone. Once, I was reading this m...... reply
