I don't know why gruesome didn't interpret it like me, and I don't really care. Nor is it important that gruesome interpret it like me. She says English isn't her first language, so maybe she missed something or maybe she just has another agenda.
Just to be clear, here: the issue isn't whether somebody FEELS offended by the cartoon. Let anybody feel what they feel. But they say they feel that way because the cartoon is racist, ergo the cartoonist is racist. The accusation of racism has to be supported because the original poster called for such cartoons not to be included on this site on that basis. This is a call for censorship. I don't agree with censorship.
Personally, I think the cartoon is vile. I think the cartoons which Charlie Hebdo published were disgusting. That's my opinion, and I'm entitled to feel that way about them. But to say that they are/were outright racism means I would have to substantiate that claim, and I cannot. (Trust me, I would if I could.)
Or maybe gruesome is a sock puppet for you.
