chinese comics are...terrible. Their plots are too fast paced and have little character development (or personality).
But I like this one. A few places seem off, like some of the pet names, but the characters are compelling. The rich one has family problems that help explain some of his personality while the mc had to change careers and is adapting to his new life. Best of all the story is progressing at a readable pace, and we don't have a crazy amount of subplots in the background. My biggest complaint would be how the mc became a decent actor after like 1 lesson, but shounen protagonists have been shown to do worse so I guess this is forgivable.
I have high hopes for how this will develop.
This shall be the Duke's curse. To never feel such a pure selfless love again, to forever harbor love in his heart and feel it's pain. Love shall be his punishment.
And love her reward.
This is the best FL EVER. She knows suffering, and she is strong because of it. She is strong, in the real way. She doesn't need OP powers or to be confrontational to be strong. She is clever and I hope so incredibly intelligent that the Duke's lands stop functioning well without her, and the other empire prospers thanks to her. My only wish was for her to have had at least one confidant, like a servant who is loyal to her.
You mean love as a punishment or the confidant? I meant I hope she had at least one friend, one person who made her a little less miserable and cared for her during those 10 years. The butler at least felt sympathetic, but idk if he did anything or not.
And as for love, well if they both fall for each other there shouldn't be a problem.
I hope we don't spend long on her being a baby. It is great for establishing some aspects of the story, like the dynamic of their relationship that will influence when they get romantically involved. But our FL will be very limited in both her actions and interactions and that would make the story stale for me.
I'm wondering if he really is stupidly skillful, or if he has the stats to go with it like strength speed and magic pool. While it's possible to dodge a faster opponent you still need a measure of speed. And like he mentions early on he needs strength to parry a stronger strike. It would be interesting if the MC faces situations where he needs strength like to move an obstacle or large magic reserves that he just doesn't have. Otherwise it would be too easy for him.
The art is nice and aesthetically appealing.
I hope he trains others and becomes like a sensei to them. That fits really well with his vast knowledge and would help prevent him from being boring if others gain skills and strength where he lacks.

Dear gods, did the MC just kidnap a bunch of little girls?!! Parents, how dare you not be more attentive of your children!
Oh, and the translation was bad. Pity cause it seemed quite interesting and the art was very cute.
