Usually there's a ton of "I don't believe you have skills!" and "I will beat you up!" back and forth between the mc and bad guys in this kind of story. It's a little refreshing to finally read one where they get to the damn point already in a timely manner. Instead of basically playing the "No U!!!" game for sometimes an entire chapter

I get why people like it, but considering all the others out there I just can't stand this one any more. The last drop in the bucket was the mouths... Just look at how most of the mouths are drawn. Whenever you see someone from the side their mouth doesn't match up with where the lips are supposed to be at all. It's like 90% of all mouths are lazily and quickly drawn onto each panel by some intern or something. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't even drawn, but just copy and pasted onto the characters.
Combine that with a story that drags on too long, an MC that doesn't seem to make much progress, a lack of emotional expression in the art from most characters, etc. It's just not for me any more...

The title implies the MC is evil. Sure he's selfish and likes to manipulate people for his own gains, but he's generally nice to people and helps those he even cares only a little about. The only "evil" thing he seems to be doing is cultivating what is considered demonic cultivation techniques.
Is that all it takes to be considered evil in the world of cultivation? Just practicing techniques that the "righteous" (yea right) cultivators don't agree with? ^^;

Underage marriage? No problem. Sending minors on life-threatening missions? Just fine! Making minors take on roles only adults should? Is there a problem? But underage drinking? Nu-uh! Not possible! Big no no!
It's always the same with isekai. I wish these authors would just stop dancing around the alcohol thing so much. The MCs already do tons of things only adults should be doing, what's so different about drinking some alcohol?

Especially since medieval type societies normally had alcohol for all ages at low strength instead of water... Though magic would definitely make the need less, probably they didn't have the same worries we do about driving or the like. ...Magic could also probably cure drunkenness, so probably not as big an issue anyway.

That would be understandable. But I'm all these isekai it's always "I can't drink, I'm still a minor!"
Like bitch, in this world you're considered an adult at 15, you've been fighting life am death battles against monsters for years, you received you're own title as a baron with all the responsibilities that come with it, and there are already 2 girls lined up to marry you. You're not a minor in this world, drink the damn alcohol!"

I'm not sure (because I'm not from Japan) but I imagine it has to do with censorship and ratings.
In manga that is supposed to be violent with lots of fighting, there is rarely any gore. Also, there may be suggestive behaviors and appearances but not much (or any) sex.
I know that the behaviors of minors can have an effect on the rating of media where I live.

The start was a clear rip-off of solo leveling, and the pacing of the first few chapters was horrible. But right now it seems to diverge from solo leveling, even if a little. I must admit it gives me hope that this manga can become it's own thing, not a copy, but just similar to solo leveling. (which is a really common thing in manga anyway.)

Here I thought the manga would be really interesting for a moment. Actually going for the kill when your opponent is cheating like no tomorrow and is trying to end you after already losing? Heck yea I'm in!
But nope, instead it's another cliché manga about a super op MC that has to hide his powers while trying to live a normal school life, unless of course there's a "Sorry sensei, I must go all out just this once!" moment. That last part is speculation, but I'm like 90% sure there will be such moments in the story...
-OP MC? Check.
-At the age where we wouldn't even let them walk around in town alone, but is sent to fight monsters and/or enemies of the country? Check.
-MC is pretty much loved by everyone? Check.
-Conflict resolves at the snap of a finger without any difficulty? Check.
-Standard fantasy races with cliché role and standing in the world? Check.
-Copy/paste plot? Check.
All that's missing now is the slavery and harem tropes. Though considering how this manga is going I'm sure they'll be introduced soon as well.
