It was a wholesome story. Short and therefore a lot of plotholes, but it was wholesome nonetheless.
I really loved the concept. The romance was fast in general, but it was alright considering how short the story was. I also loved how good the characters were. Both the designs and the personality. If it was longer we could've seen more of it, but alas, such is the fate of a short story.
If you think I'm holding a grudge because I kept emphasizing the shortness of the story, then you're right. I am upset at how short it was and I always will be when it comes to short stories that are this good.
Honestly, it's the short ones that are good. It's basically a thing now.
It was good. The concept was interesting. And the art was muah . It has potential for a longer and deeper story but alas, it only has 6 chapters.
Give me a break
Okay, the art is fab. The character designs are mouthwatering too. Never expected a guideverse with reverse sex positions. Guides in this story are buff and apparently tops the Espers. So unique but interesting. The smex scenes are muah and I really wanted more.
The problem is I hated the Seme. A red flag psychopath who never learned that how to make the Uke fall for him the right way. What he did is unforgivable and still should be punished, but am I also brainwashed that I was also willing to forgive him at the end?
I loved it and the art, the character designs, the smex scenes, I LOVED IT. You could've made some side stories at least. Just to let us know how they coped with everything
Okay, it was fun for a while, but I got sick of them all at the end that I dreaded more chapters.
The semes are all bastards in heat, never really apologized to the Uke and did everything they liked. Fr, there were a lot of rapes. Didn't see it? The story is basically covered in it.
Also, it's not romance, none of this is romantic at all. Who the heck added that romance tag!? They should've put rape, sexual assault, and psychological. I mean, I was literally overwhelmed as I read through it because I never expected how toxic the characters were.
There's the sly psychopath Shinje (I hated him the most because his kind pisses me off so much), the silent uptight guy who is actually a pervert and a hypocrite Taein, the guy with anger issues and the blaming type Chan (tbh, he's the usual type of seme you'd see in regret filled stories), then there's the I'll-show-you-how-I-like-you-but-you're
-really-just-a-toy pervert Heesu, yeah. They're all a bunch of bastards who anyone should never deal with.
The only saving grace I really liked here is the art. The character designs were fantastic and the smex scenes are so muah. To be for real, the plot isn't that bad, it just didn't live up to the hype as it progressed.
Yeah, that's all for me. Never gonna read this again. It's something I never really enjoyed. Maybe it's not for me.
This is so underrated!!! It has good storyline, good plot, and ugh the art. I can't believe it took me this long to find this golden story.
The smex scenes are also so hot I wanted more!!!!
Also, I appreciate the author not including the rape scenes or any other smex scenes other than the couple. It didn't give much impact, but I respect the respect the author showed towards the Uke.
Anyways, please let me have the side storiesssss. This ain't enough!!!
Okay enough. I don't like this. Not one bit.
NO.
I literally skipped over everything else other than the serious scenes. The smex scenes don't cut it for me if their relationship is this toxic.
The Seme's toxic. He's a spoiled little brat who could get whatever he wanted and even destroy the Uke as long as he gets him. He's deranged and I don't love that the story just ended like that. Like, what the hell.
The Uke is suffocating from this family and this relationship, I'm all for it if he runs away and hides or kills himself, because even I don't wanna be involved with this Seme dude.
The author was really stingy with the chapters.
It wasn't enough!!!!! Where the hell are the rest of the chapters!??? Give me more!!
It's honestly good. I didn't have much expectations starting but it grew on me.
I love the art. Has good plot. The storyline is okay. And the smex scenes are muah .
The only thing I found irritating is that I started reading it even though I knew it's still early to read it, considering the story is far from over. I got left with a cliffhanger
This story is fire.
I thought the storyline was similar to the "Swordmaster's Youngest Son", like highly recommend, but it was so similar to this one at the first part where the MC regressed, they are all in competition with their siblings, and the elements where their own relatives and half-siblings worked for the more elite siblings.
I was honestly not hoping for much in this story, but the more I read, the more intrigued I was. The action scenes were fabulous! The dialogues, THE ART! Everything is so good I was so disappointed I caught up with the latest chapter.
I vowed not to read something below 140 chapters and here I am. I dug my own grave.
Anyways, I am not too sure about the idea of a harem, considering his family dynamic where siblings fight against each other, I do hope he chooses only one woman. Too many gives too much stress.
Also, I want more!!!!! Why am I so bad at choosing stories to read?!
The title holds no significance to the story at all!
Edit: Yeah, this was an ignorant comment. I genuinely did not know what the title means so forgive this ignorant me.
I already read the novel and it sucks. The story was badly written. And despite its potential, was not delivered well by the author. There's also a lot of back and forth situation between the Seme and Uke and it's just so frustrating and tiring now.
They're both idiots. Everybody sucks. The end.
I only read it through the end because I wanted the drama. And I wanted to feel hurt. I'm a karma-core reader and a regret-porn romance enthusiast so I wanted to see drama and pain (for both the seme and uke) and all that.
But there's something we call, too much drama. They add a lot of elements and a lot of issues to prolong and overcomplicate the story and too much destroys the story. This is what happened in this one. The novel, I mean.
I do hope they change a lot in the manhwa adaptation. Because a lot of the readers dropped the story for its dramatic flairs that it's exhausting to read and I really understand that because I feel the same.
Anyways, can't wait for the next chapters in the manhwa.
It's a unique story where the MC is more like a villain acting like a hero, a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's the type you'd avoid because he's a cheating and manipulative son of a b*tch who gaslights his partners into staying in this toxic relationship with him. He's also sly enough to act like he's the victim and push the blame on his enemies and earn the public's sympathy.
I actually liked the story. I also liked the idea of making this guy the MC of a shounen manhwa, where it's almost a rule to have an MC who aims too get stronger. This guy here aims to get himself protection. Because he knows he can't survive by himself. I respect that. He's just a trashy scum. Though, I do love reading through the perspective of this kind if MC.
I'm actually not sure if I'm dropping or I'm just putting this on hold. I love the comedy bits and the ideas going on in the MC's head. I just think that everything is so... Repetitive. Every arc, same kind of problems and same kind of solutions. Someone pisses him off, he accepts the challenge, gets beat, and then fights back. I just got tired of the pattern. Like, I'm not even surprised anymore.
The author is also toeing the line between good and evil. Didn't like the reverse r*pe at all. Any kind of r*pe is not acceptable. I'm not shocked it gets glossed over like nothing happened because the author keeps doing it. I'm just disappointed.
Anyways, I'm off to read another story. Not sure if I'll be back again but I'm just tired of this shaisa now.
Yeah. That was one of the the ugliest endings I've ever read. Extras? More like a big cliff hanger. They should've ended it well and I expected them to get together anyway even though their relationships a bs.
Okay so, I'm quitting this not even halfway through. There are a lot of frustrating things I found. Like, the ML continuing to distrust the FL even though they've known each other for months now. And also, how frustrating that the FL can't do anything to save the people she cherishes because she's just a dang stable boy.
Most FLs would've done whatever they could to get a stable job so that they could support their favorite character but this one hasn't done anything yet as far as I've read. She keeps complaining that she can't do anything, well duh, you haven't achieved anything yet! I'd let it slide had she done her best to get the ML's trust but NO, he hasn't trusted her one bit since they've met. Which is understandable considering that's how he was raised, but if I were the FL, I would've focused on building my own position and continue to elevate it until I'm good enough to support the ML.
I would've been so frustrated not doing anything and then feeling so powerless that I couldn't do anything to save my friends.
What's more, she can't even remember the storyline! She's just acting like a lovesick teenager who keeps pining for a prince who wouldn't give her the time of the day. She hasn't even learned how to read and write, for Pete's sake!
Soooo... I read the novel out of curiosity for their smex scenes, judge me if you want but I was curious and the PG-13 censorship with the manhwa ain't helping, and I was so intrigued with the story that I read it all the way through the end .
The story is nearing the end, sadly. And it's almost the part where the couple goes through their personal issues. But I'm really, REALLY psyched to see it in the manhwa adaptation. Ain't gonna spoil but I think some novel readers already spoiled it in social media.
Needless to say, the story was beautiful. There are also problems, psychologically and emotionally speaking, for the FL. Regardless of her love for the ML, she was still looking forward to the day she returns home. Which is confusing because most FLs would choose this new world over their old one. What's more confusing is that the FL wasn't really that happy in her old world so I don't get why she's still attached to it.
Probably because she doesn't love the ML the same way he loves her. She loves him as a fan and a reader, not as a person herself. In my opinion, she hasn't accepted this new world as her reality and because other than the transmigration she also regressed in this new world, she believes that dying is not the end and therefore just wants to see the story to the end. Only then will she return home.
She's a rather unusual and difficult person to understand. Most probably because her life does not revolve around LOVE, contrary to other FLs. If you think about it, everything is easy to understand when romantic LOVE is involved. Especially when the FL does crazy stuff and we understand that she did it in the name of love.
We also see FLs whose first priority isn't love, it's their work, family, reputation, business, etc.. And then love comes second after them. Hestia here prioritizes the following in order; Kaelus' life, her love for him as a fan, and her romantic love for him. She'd put him first over anything else and in my opinion, doesn't think much of the future. Like, she doesn't see herself in a future with him. That's an issue that should be resolved first and foremost.
In any case, I feel bad for Kaelus. I do hope she realizes how important she is to him. And that she should be satisfied in their life together instead of quitting and going back to her old world. I'd rather live this life to the fullest and dread returning to my old world without my beloved by my side.
Okay, I love the art, I love the character designs and the characters themselves. I also love the concept and the plot, I especially love how open-minded their world is that the families on both sides never had an issue with their relationship. It's actually comical that the parents of the Seme love the Uke more than their own son!
I love the action scenes, I wish there was more actually .
All in all it was good.
The only reason I didn't give it full points is because I grew tired of them by the 50th chapter. I didn't like their smex scenes much, it wasn't that hot contrary to their appearances. It was kind of dull. I don't know if it was the failure to deliver the hot scenes or because of the characters personality? I don't really know.
I was dreading for it to be over because there wasn't much that happened, or anything interesting happen for that matter. The smex scenes weren't even great. The story is far too plain to enjoy until 70 chapters which is a bummer.
They could've finished by 50 I think and then add side stories, at least that's my take. The story is good, it's just not your "I'll finish this in just a day" story because it's not that engrossingly fascinating to read.
Hope you don't take this the wrong way. I just felt that way as I read the story. Still, I appreciate it and the few laughs I had here and there.
