Okay, so I have never read this, even though it was all the rage in the 00's. But I can't tell you how fucking funny I found it that they're saying what they do - "Reflect", "Defenses up", "now I attack you" and whatever, because it reminds me of my kindergarten days where you would have imaginary fights and constantly try to 1-up the other person and act like you reflected shit and just did a bazooka canon super attack back.

Do people not realize this is a fictional world, where it is very apparent that status matters the most and he's essentially (actually literally) a slave? She could have him killed in a heartbeat, and it wouldn't matter. I'm sensing, though, that the strangling wasn't on purpose, as it seems she has a beast form, and it's not under control. Our pretty prince has his nose in stuff he shouldn't have and is therefore experiencing these things as a result of wanting answers and being curious. What killed the cat again?
This story is clearly setting up to be kill or be killed, and it seems to be that way for every country. I really don't know what people were expecting, tea parties and some casual conversations?? I don't really think she formed human connections and learned emotions, being locked up in a tower - it's not exactly a romanticized Rapunzel fairytale.
In a nutshell: I love her and her dynamic character. Fight me.

Personally, I wish for Tia to not end up with anyone and just be a knight beside her father - though I know that's not the case.
However, I'm a bit confused why people are showing such distaste towards Allen all of a sudden. He was nothing but extremely kind towards Tia, and they had such a pure and great friendship with so much love, and still has that, obviously.
Anyone would question a "story" like that about time travel at first, but he came around and apologized so many times, and Tia has forgiven him, too. On top of it, he gets cut off by her father and can't do anything about it - that's bound to hurt a lot, and getting isolated like that without reasoning would make anyone bitter and angry.

In the beginning of the story, it was shown by Allen’s perspective that he was planning to marry Tia if she tossed away the prince, and for his own benefit (possibly the family’s too). Their social standing would be elevated a bit. Now, Allen really does “love” Tia, but it’s very possessive/ yandere-ish. And people see his change of mind very creepy. Me included. Although... I kinda enjoy seeing Allen like that sometimes.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but I feel a little bit icky about their relationship. It's obvious that Haru has a lot of power, especially considering how much Renren respects him and looks up to him and always have. He has that kind of.. influencial psychological power.
Sometimes when they're doing stuff, Haru has been kind of guilting, acting like a spoiled child that "needs comfort" in the aspect of physical, implying that he needs to do it. There's been some lines that I find quite uncomfortable, as it seems really classic to the kind of subtle manipulation you see when one in the partnership is a lot older than the other.
Isn't he only like 15 now? Yet they've done all sorts of things one underage shouldn't be doing with a fully-grown adult. It's been borderline illegal and I just can't help but find it quite uncomfortable at times.
But heck, it's only a yaoi and fiction. I'm just surprised no one else has been talking about this!

Yeah, exactly! This is just yaoi and fiction, so not like it matters, lmao. Though the age of consent in Japan have received a LOT of critisicm, so just because that's the case, I still don't think a kid can give consent to doing sexual activities with a grown adult like, what.. 20+ years older than them?? (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

While I do agree to some extent, I don’t think Haru is that old yet? He is still under 30. I still can enjoy the story (while knowing that their relationship is kind of twisted) , but I do wish they would have waited with their sexual relationship until Ren is older. It’s kind of a weird dynamic as Ren does also have an influence and power over Haru, they both are dependent on each other

No. Ren is 17 now and in my country, 16 is the age for sexual consent, plus they're not related. Also i feel they're both as bad each other in the retrospect of wanting things to be more than just heavy petting. Haru is rather immature for his age and Ren is maybe to mature for his, so they kinda clash. Yet its yaoi and fiction, anything kind of goes. I've read much much worse, so this is like vanilla for me.

In my country (Sweden) its ok to have sex if you're 15. I know alot of 15-17 year olds that got together with older partners, some are married with kids today. Every one is different, some 15 year olds are mature and some 25 year olds are like teenagers. As long as people are happy and everything is legal and consequential then there should be no problem.

Yeah, well, I'm from Denmark as well, so it's the same here. Though Haru started way before Ren was even 15, and he's technically been grooming him his whole life, lmao, if we were talking as if this is real life. I would still argue that there's a huge difference between a brotherly figure who's known you almost your whole life and their influence, being what 20+ older than you, and then some random stranger that happens to be a bit older.

They're not blood-related, but their dynamic and relationship was still build on being brothers and related. Haru is a kid having been targeted for many years for romantic interest, lmao, so his conception could be warped. I was also specifically talking about Haru's way of communicating sometimes, which can seem very manipulating and guilting into sexual and romantic activities, laying heavy weight on the fact that "you are a kid" mockingly, "I need comfort", "do this to/for me or I'll be sad" and whatever. Haru is sometimes acting like a kid/childish only to get Ren to do stuff for him, and that's very classic in real case scenarios where an adult is taking advantage of a kid that trusts them and cares for them, since the kid doesn't want to make the adult sad/mad.
ANYWAY! It's fiction. It's yaoi. It's not like I genuinely care. It was just my thoughts!

Gotta admit I miss the romance aspect! It was so clear for the first many, many chapters, and there were exciting action-packed situations on top of that! If I remember correctly, it began to wear off when Shirayuki moved. I still love the manga, but I do miss that aspect.

I agree. I don't find the new scene annoying or anything. But tbh, I'm simple minded I don't really care what's happening to the other nations or every single side character arc. I honestly don't recognize the same serie I fell so in love with. Now the later events are more like "things happening". I still like the serie as a whole but, I think it's getting too dragging considering this serie has been in this state in the last few years.
The author is exploring topic too deeply. It could be an arc but, they are so detached from the main protagonist, the serie fells feels more like "adventures of the people from Clarines" rather than its initial premise. Not to mention the author kept rehearsing the same issues over and over like mitsuhide and kiki issues, should have been put an end.
Rather than shoujo this switching more and more to adventure and exploring the manga's world concept.
Which doesn't mean the romance is gone. It just been stabilize. So the author focus on other issues. But, given the time and years these have been going through I think it's a bit dragging. But, enjoyable if you're looking for adventure not romance.^^
i'm not crying, you're crying
