like lolllll ian was a shit person and literally i wanted to fucking shave him bald and use his hair to sew a toilet cover. but i'm happy to see he's being more self-aware and on the path of fixing things, not just for himself (since i bet he'll be happier with real and healthy relationships), but also because everyone he's hurt really deserves some form of acknowledgment/emotional compensation on his behalf. like it's great that the author made the characters 3D and capable of moving past who they were in the past, even if that past can't be erased alongside all the hurt they've caused.
like i dont think i see lots of novels where there's such a trashy character who is irredeemably disdainful, have proper character development without the author completely glossing over what they've done just because they were "truly sorry." like usually they just regret/realise suddenly how prissy they were, but it felt like we were able to see the prince through his 7 stages of grief when he got rightfully dumped, and actually not just regret, but also move on past who he once was, without being completely redeemed by the people he's hurt. like i genuinely like ian as a character (but as a person, i'd fucking throw hands though. like literally tf, idc if he's better now. if melissa and everyone he's hurt hasn't forgiven him yet, im not in any position to, either).

im right on the chapter where she regains her memories and honestly im so scared i dont think i can continue reading. like,,, i hear #1 sorta seeps back in as she reverts a bit more into her old self that's never truly left anyways, but that terrifies me. i sincerely hope she can find happiness and i honestly think being in this setting is probably inhibiting that, but then that just means her other option is leaving behind everyone she got to know even if it's from her #2 pov. like,,, maho,,,, and kai and even kai's friend that idek

LMAO "how do you guys know boxing" fjseiofoivv
also ppl complaining about the female characters, i feel like theyre fine? like all the characters, not just the girls, depend/rely on our MC, and i think the set standard is that the MC is going to be op and everyone else is comic relief alongside with him? like i don't think the author is writing bad girls (if anything, they all have their own motivations, can stand their own ground, and are kinda vibing), rather it's all of characters who become supporting cast, not just the girls.

love that she's just now ridiculously op bc she ate a random root that made nOISE that one chapter. and i like how she's getting along with the guards and everything and just overall having a wild time
like honestly i feel like this is the first time ive read a proper martial/murim plot where the mc is a female and actually learns martial arts? idk tho maybe that's just me

ive never finished this and tbh im really not into the plot/characters too much, but i really love the fact that elise was always elise? like elise never reincarnated into someone else's body, rather she just had a whole character arc on her own before we see her back in her old body, and im so into that? bc i feel like not only do we get to see she had developed on her own, it doesn't feel like there's just a forgotten ex-host with a new reincarnated character who just sort of replaces them?
lmao when he said: "feel embarrassed" it had the same vibes as "then perish," meme.
