BUT I FUCKING LOVE HER? LIKE FROM THE FIRST CHAPTER she's UTTERLY hilarious and brutally persistent. sure she whines, but tbh in her situation and with her background it'd be weirder if she didn't. also it's way more interesting with a personality like hers that's antagonizing, and like we rarely see fls who are both purposefully annoying, but also strong willed. besides, her strengths are independent of how much she has to rely on the ml for a certain moment, and i think that[s pretty cool too.
also i feel like we rarely see a manga where the fl's strengths are revealed later into the plot, with her more "unlikeable" traits being the only ones we know at first (not like i thought she was ever unlikeable, but i think lots of ppl did). like usually they give away hints to their insecurities/backgrounds since the beginning to try and make their personality more "forgiveable" or "understandable" (even though i think being utterly unapologetic and not being obliged to feel bad about her personality is a charm of hers that i LOVE), while with her, they completely hid any of her insecurities/past from her pov, and only gave us hints recently or through the ml's recollections.
anyways. she's funny, and since im a simple person i love funny, so by transitive property i love her

and from what we can tell with the mom and how she treats her daughter, her daughter isn't allowed to pick her own friends/hobbies and can't make her own decisions ever since she was a kid, and the mom has been super controlling? like your kids are their own people, and forcing them to live a certain way is super unhealthy and not what a parent should do, even if i understand she thinks this is what's best for them.
and i think you misunderstand my anger for the mom- i'm not mad at the mom for her concerns, i'm mad with her methods. like yeah i totally agree, becoming a professional gamer is a total risk and i can see her concerns, but that doesn't justify how she executes her parenting. she screams at her children, has been controlling with the daughter since she was a kid, and tries to force them on a path that drastically affects them for the rest of their lives. like? as a parent you guide and love them, but you don't own people, and she treats them that way. she's forcing them on a path she believes to be right, when it's not her life to live out.

My mother was very similar to Suho's mom and my experience was closer to his sister. It's true I was given stuff without asking but what I really want was not given. Is that being spoiled? I was fine with the controlling behavior but what broke my peace was when she came to my room and check every nook and cranny to find my HIDDEN MANGA COLLECTION and hobbies and threw them away (very similar feels to when Suho's mom destroyed his PC, very relatable for me). To be honest if this control has been since childhood it is a lot easier to adapt than the sudden feeling of being king one day and next you are a slave. Suho's lashing out isn't even that bad. If I am that depressed I usually wouldn't leave my room, answer phone or talk to anyone. My worst lasted a month long.
