Anyways, I'm team enemies to lovers, so seeing Hyunjae here brought me so much joy lmaooo I'm well aware he's a red flag, but he's so effortlessly charming that it makes me blind. Plus their dynamics got so much banter in them, I loooove banter (≧∀≦).

(I know this ain't a bl but c'mon now, the queerbaiting is so prominent, it might as well put it in the tags. Especially in the novel! Also is it even baiting? Or does the author just doesn't want to lose the readers who will raise hell if they touch anything remotely gay?)

On a serious note though, I guess this explains why he got sooooo clingy and outright stalked mc. Something good happened to him, he found a person who cares about him and then got abandoned the way his parents did. However, unlike the past, he's no longer a child who can't do something about his situation so he actually fcking went to Seyoung's house, refused to get out and stayed. After all, he can't get abandoned if he doesn't also leave lol.

We're all aware that in the future they're looking for Hyo-un's soulmate right? And this backstory pretty much confirmed that it's Taehyuk. Well, what if this connection, this bond Hyo-un feels isn't one-sided? Soulmate implies that both parties involved is connected right to the soul. I have a feeling this is the deciding factor on how Taehyuk will give in despite his morals preventing him. Everybody's been so focused (including me) with the fact that mc raised the ml, and if being a dragon therefore unconfined with human rules makes it right for them to be in a relationship. I was on team idontcare lol cuz I'm more concerned with Taehyuk being likely to get forced into a relationship than Hyo-un who's only disadvantage is his age (?).

But now I remember the reason all these discourse might be worthless anyway. They're soulmates. I've read countless soulmate stories and one thing authors love to put into it is the conflict of your soulmate being someone you shouldn't love. From enemies, different races, age or era. There's always a reason why they shouldn't be together, and yet they always do. Cuz it's fate, or it's their choice or it can't be changed. That's what's causing Taehyuk to also hesitate in rejecting Hyo-un. It's unconscious, but their meeting already established this inevitable connection that will affect every decision he makes and ensure they'll stay together as destined.

I really don't like Eclis lol, he infuriates me and I don't know why cuz he isn't really that bad? I guess? But now I know why I can't get on board with this ship. It's because he's the sad boi who expects the person he likes to like him as well. Ohmyfckinggod it fcking irritated me when he was acting all jealous when Penelope had something important to do and can't pay attention to him. Penelope always have to adjust to his outbursts in order to placate him, ugh I fcking hate this type of character the most, sue me.

I commented last chapter that Penelope and Callisto was similar due to their experiences and actions. Well, Eclis is kinda on the same situation being stuck as a slave with no known escape, but the difference is their mindsets. The first two is doing the best they could in order to get out of their shackles, sacrificing and compromising what they want just to do so, Eclis in the other hand willingly wears the chains tying him down. While there isn't anything wrong with a man so utterly besotted he'll gladly be your slave, Eclis somehow does it so fcking bad. He's the type that was dependent on everything Penelope gives, he's got nothing to offer, nothing to fall in love with, no charm at all jfc. And he has the audacity to ask for more of her lmao. Ugh he's just so pathetic as a character, no redeeming qualities. Has he even done anything for Penelope? I can't even remember! The relationship is so skewed, with Penelope providing everything so he'll fall in love with her, and him doing nothing, getting jealous and expecting his feelings to be reciprocated!? I hate that the most, he ain't even doing anything to make her fall for him and yet he wants the love to be mutual? And now he's like a ticking time bomb again, getting mad when Penelope is sad instead of comforting her shhxvjsjsjguiidh I can't believe he's getting everything wrong! Opportunities are practically laid in front of him and yet he's fumbling every single time ugh.

Fckkkkkkk he's such a charming asshole lmaoóo. Literally right at home in hell, demons worshipping him and being a menace as always. It would be so easy for Kim Suho to be unlikeable but damn it, I'm so damn charmed. I like his character so much I'm mad. I guess it's because at the end of it all, he's kind. Doesn't matter if he's the most selfish, arrogant bastard, he will always step up when needed.

I hope og!Lloyd realizes what it took Suho to get where he is right now. That all the arrogance and audacity stems from how fcking hard he worked and the results he produced. Call him any names you want, Suho probably wouldn't disagree lol, cuz regardless of how heinous and ridiculous his plans are, it worked.

It's actually kinda sad how low Kanna went, it's basically fact at this point that she was from another world (either thru transmigration, possession, reincarnation etc). She's definitely a reader, what with being able to remember enough stories to tell for a whole year, but I guess her downfall lies in her treating the world she's in, as still a story. She put too much trust in her knowledge of the plot that she forgot to remember that all stories end. What lies after the happily ever after? Nothing. And so everything the world has given to her, was taken away as well.

I really like the King's interpretation of magic as well, and how it wouldn't work in real life. It's usually used for the defeat of "evil" and to prop the hero/heroine as everything good, but that's unrealistic. There's a difference between fantasy and bad writing lol. Everything still needs to be grounded in reality in order for the magic to even make sense.

I'm already geeking out cuz Sung ho is so smooth and good with flirting but then Kwon was such a green flag with his respect for boundaries and consent and the way he held himself back from his urges AHHHHHHHHH

I dunno why but I'm actually experiencing greater reactions from these small things than those that has intense and complicated plots. A lot of bl authors go for the very toxic and heart wrenching stories but it doesn't really get to me that much lol, maybe cuz most of the time I don't really get how the characters even fell in love. Soft and fluffy stories really focus on love, more energy put into developing the relationship rather than navigating whatever issue or dillema they have.

Anyways, we got a new character! It's a woman (ominous). They're usually written to provide some progress for the couple, I'm hoping it isn't the type that was tries to break them up. I hope she's a lesbian lmao, now that's .a twist I can get behind!

So, what's going on in this arc is Yoojin is trying to nip in the bud the absolute pain in the ass the association is gonna be in the future (which he knows cuz he's a time traveller). He tried stopping its opening a few chapters ago cuz the association isn't ready and the awakening procedure does more harm than good. That didn't work. So he did some voluntary work to mitigate some of that harm, the mfs then tried to abuse that and make him basically their slave. Ofc, Yoojin refused. The association is now pissed cuz he wasn't giving in, so their next step was to target his weakness, Yoohyun, his brother. The media is suddenly focusing on the smallest of things Yoohyun does and blowing it out of proportion in order to slander him. It went too far and even the fire in the association building got tied to his name. That's where Yoojin went a couple chapters ago, he called out the people actually setting it on fire, injured them (this is what got him arrested lol) and made Riette destroy everything as if a dungeon break happened.

Now, they're having a live broadcast with the intention to clear up his brother's name. A whole ass telenovela painting the beasts and Yoohyun as angels who couldn't do any wrong lmao. With an added twist of Yoojin's arrest! This is to really cement how fcking ridiculous the association is with how they're accusing Yoojin of injuring someone stronger than him. Yoojin is now doing what the association did to his brother on them. Using the media and the people to harm their image and reputation. BUT, to make sure they can't get back up, he needs something more extreme.

He was detained in the association, so it's their responsibility to protect him while he's there. He's aware that some people who were officials there wants to kidnap him and sell him abroad. It's the perfect opportunity to do so, and that's exactly what he wants to happen. It's why he didn't press the alarm. Getting kidnapped, the country losing such a valuable person, the people getting outraged cuz this ain't the first strike, this is exactly the kind of thing that will enable the people to call for the downfall of the people involved. The evidence collected gotta be damning too.

Tldr: Yoojin used uno reverse card against the association, it's effective!
