I don't really like yuri or stories about war for that matter,
but even for all that this story is a real page turner.
This manga stands as a testament to the way good art and good storytelling make the genre irrelevant.

Hmmm, perhaps your vehicle/s wasn't/weren't roomy enough? I've had sex in multiple vehicles, and I've learned that while yes, some are definitely not a joy to court in, some can also be extremely convenient and/or roomy enough to really get lost in sex in. That's just my own experience, though. I can't speak for everyone!

Couldn't get into this story because Shou-chan is so unlikable.
He claims Hisashi is his soulmate, but he's banging anyone and everyone.
Sorry, but Hisashi should move on, then tell Shou-chan that's he's fallen in love with someone else who isn't a faithless slut.
Now that would be a happy ending...

I agree with you entirely. Actually, shou is from a family of good looking brothers, and one of them has a separate story. I think you should read it, it's called itoshi akuma. The brother's name is naruse, and he's not like shou. He's quite aggressive, but headstrong when it comes to trying to get the uke, and shows no interest in any other person. Very faithful, but if you're the type that's not interested in rape based stories well, don't read it.
I've read the other stories and didn't love them all, but so far this one bothered me most.
Shou is so profoundly selfish and acts in a manner so contrary to what he claims to feel for Hisashi that I truly do not want to see them together.
Basically, Shou is just a horrible person.
Seemed more like to me that Shou believes that his insecurities gave him leeway to act in such a manner. Because he felt so insecure about himself, he felt like he had the right to act selfishly, which I also find despicable. Lol nice to see someone who has the same views as me.
I am glad I read this comment, because I was giving up on this one because it's hard for me to read.. I mean literally... the way it's drawn and the placing of the speech bubbles is difficult for me. I read Naruse's story a long time ago.. I remember I liked it ok, in spite of some difficulty reading for the same reason, and overlooking a lot of rapey scenes... but I never like cheating type stories, so I am glad I am not missing anything here.

I find this artist's work very difficult to understand.

The best part of this manga is that its art and story are a departure from the norm.
While it won't go down as my favorite yaoi of all time, I'll definitely remember this one because it stands out from the many, many others that are so similar in style and content that they basically blend together.
That was so sweet that my blood sugar may have spiked to dangerous levels.
I love this so much, but hate that the ending felt very rushed.

I've been reading more Korean yaoi lately
Consequently, I've noticed that the stories are always dark and disturbing, but they're so well written and beautifully illustrated that I can't care about all the twisted stuff going on.

Even while I'm cringing over various plot points, I'm wishing there were more chapters to read.
