Not another branch off, please!
Seriously. Why?
I come here every update for one reason: to see the main couple. I don't care about the girl or the old lady vampire. I don't care about the backstory. I care about the MC.
You've got a plot. You've got characters who are meant to be the focus of the story. Even subplots should be moving around them, not obscuring them.
If the next update is this weaksauce bullshit again, it might be worth just unfollowing until the whole thing is complete. This would grate less if I didn't have to wait to see what I came here to see.
Your chapters are not long enough or frequent enough to pull this bs off author!
When a manga has one character with clearly unrequited love act like they're entitled to their crushes love. Like the simple act of them loving a person means the other person should return their feelings or they're a bad person. Unless that person moves on or lives with that love unrequited, I can't sympathize with them at all (different if the love is unrequited but the person doesn't act like they're entitled or try to force it).
Just puts me off a story completely.
So far the tone of the main pair has kept this from being a complete no for me but the latest introduction pushes it over my line. I'm tapping out here.
For new readers:
Positive: cute art (not overly detailed or intricate but suits the story), interesting world-building, good pacing, low pressure.
Negative: you can live without this story. It's pretty basic and has no intensity. The kind of manga that doesn't stay with you. This can be a positive too depending on your preferences. Other than that, I said why I didn't like it but that's a personal preference. If you share that preference, it will be a no for you as well.
My conclusion is that you should give it a try and see if it suits you. It didn't suit me but the universe is interesting enough that I can see the appeal.
"Umm, this is a webtoon not Anna Karenina."
They are the same, each one of them are stories written to entertain people, each one of them adapted to their own period.
"I seriously doubt this author has ever dated anyone, let alone experienced a relationship"
This is so messed up I don't even konw what to say O_o
I leave reviews to
(a) remind myself of the manga (webtoon, manhwa etc) in case I come across it again. For this, it's pretty important for me to say why I didn't like it or I'll end up re-reading, wasting time and leaving irritated,
(b) so other people have more info to judge if it's something they'll like or not. In that case it's important to say why I didn't like it (or what I had issues with) in case they have similar tastes. It's also important to say what its objective good points are (because we don't all like the same things).
For the author's experiences, I have no idea what their relationship experience is, but it doesn't matter. If they couldn't mock up a situation they hadn't been in before using the elements they do experience, they wouldn't be able to write a story at all. I don't think this author is that bad off. There are a lot of manga writers that have this structure. It's just not my cup of tea.
Or at least a more definite resolution.
Finished re-reading after many years. I love it for the simplicity. It's uncomplicated, but has interesting characters and doesn't overreach. Very clever and telegraphs some seriously varied talent.
But it is one of those stories where it really feels like it's missing something without the sex.

I already don't like you ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
