Now if he'd just realize all the times he hurt Jinwoo by speaking to him the way he did even though Jinwoo couldn't help it and he'd just apologize i can move on and give them my blessing. I'll be able to read their love story and not have that nagging thorn pop into my head when i see Sangtae acting cute. All i want is for him to apologize and i'll be content to actually get into Sangtae's part of the story. I hope he's actually helping Jinwoo when he suggests they get off the train, i hope it's not just another chance he's going to seize to take advantage of Jinwoo in the state he's in. I like the sexy time, but i REALLY want the emotional baggage dealt with (Sangtae needs to apologize for the stress he put on Jinwoo when he said the things he said each time Jinwoo was incapacitated and couldn't finish work) before they take the next step and naturally Jinwoo's girlfriend needs to be confronted as well. No more sexy time till shit is dealt with, though since this is yaoi i'm sure there'll bee a few more softcore scenes before Jinwoo breaks up with his girlfriend and they actually have sex. I suppose i wouldn't mind the fanservice, it's just that IDEALLY i'd like things to go as i described and i definitely won't be content if Sangtae doesn't apologize at some point. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I need a story about "aniki" now! It's sad that he's by himself, especially now that he's revealed that he actually WAS in love with Tatsuo and that he had wanted him there when he became boss. So, it seemed like aniki was raped by the guy he and Tatsuo killed? The big ugly guy? He commented on aniki "being a man now" and the boss commented on how aniki was "one of his favorites when he was a child", so it seemed like he was once one of the guy's targets? I really want a side story for him now. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
lmao I hope he rots in hell. He was an abusive fuck who left Yuki to die alone in the snow and only cares/wants Yuki now that he's lonely. He's a total loser and a bastard. He abused Yuki and hurt him so much.
I don't think it was implied he was raped by that man, it was seeming to imply he's a man now because he could pursue his goals even if they meant having to do something like killing a man who raised/was like a mentor or father to you. Basically, that whole story is to show how selfish he is as a character and his disregard for other's lives and emotions in the wake of his own and in his ambitions and desires. He's a selfish person. Thats the moral of his story.
I wholeheartedly disagree and think you're being really biased here, he "left him in the snow" to get him out of the life, they talk about how the cut wasn't fatal. Their relationship didn't seem bad either, they seemed pretty close, not sure what you mean by he "abused him". We'll just agree to disagree here, you're ignoring 3/4 of the context of their relationship and only focusing on the neck wound. Even there you're ignoring the reveal that the cut purposely wasn't fatal. Also, it definitely implied the guy used to rape him... read through there again...
He comments on how he's a man now after going into a creepy monologue to Tatsuo about how he likes to fuck boys because they're not quite men yet, but not women either. He likes entering them and "touching the man inside". He likes to imagine he's tainting their manhood. Then, after the monologue and after he comments on him being a man now, the boss says "you were a favorite of his when you were a child". You think he was the only boy that rapist didn't rape? He seems to be considered attractive too.
Wtf? Didn't see that coming at all. I kinda wonder how Sihyoon stays around Kyunghee after that, Kyunghee has no reason to even talk with him anymore and you'd think that Sihyoon would feel guilty enough to stay away after. He had been tricking her the entire time and she ended up dying for him, after that heart to heart about how she'd give up her happiness for Kyunghee's. How could he stay around her son after the way she died? I feel sorry for Junsik, he was broken and his future is lost. Not surprised to see Kyunghee has been cutting himself, i'm surprised he's even alive, let alone talking with Sihyoon still. Looks like he plans to kill himself and Sihyoon? Sihyoon stepped down at his company, so maybe it's a planned double suicide? I think he talked Sihyoon into quiting his job and committing a double suicide with him, it's the only thing that would explain Kyunghee still talking with Sihyoon. I need more damn it! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
It said a year and 3 months?! Though it also said "he always comes back on saturdays", which made it sound like he had come back multiple times within that year and 3 months? It's a little sad that they have to be apart, that's lost time neither will get back, but it DID leave the possibility Beom will one day be able to stay on land when he said "one day will i be able to stay like them?". -crosses fingers- Soooo, Rino and the new guy share history? Though it doesn't look like Rino is happy to see him again... It looks as though he felt like he was in captivity? I couldn't see him doing that on purpose though, not the son, the father. They had saved Changyeong and Beom before setting them free, so i feel like capturing Rino for the son to "keep" would've been against their moral code. Maybe they didn't know he was able to transform? And he escaped thinking they were trying to keep him in captivity? Could be a misunderstanding, hopefully we eventually get to see Rino's story continued.
Was it definitively stated that it was Changyeong whom Beom saw? Or maybe it was the other two who had been with Changyeong that Beom saw?
He was looking at Changyeoung and Mohkwa, you can see in the scene that the conversation between Hunyoung and Beom was centered around them. Hell, the 1st half of the chapter was. The whole point of them meeting up was for Beom to get some closure through confrontation. He was asking in a hopeful manner whether or not he'd eventually be able to stay on land and be with Hunyoung in the same way Changyeoung and Mohkwa live. Though i DO think he might've been including Rino when he said "they" as he meant "will i be able to stay on land like the two of them" and the purpose of this question was to consider a future where he can stay with Hunyoung on land. That's what i got anyway.
I'm not sure if I conveyed my point properly but if I didn't I wanted to clarify that I was referring to the conversation Hunyoung and Beom had when Hunyoung asked Beom if he had seen a bottlenose dolphin while he was still an orca. Beom HAD replied no but then he said he had seen two (other?) dolphins. I was unaware that Jiseung and his father had saved Changgyeong though. I must have missed that. I'll have to go back and re read.
This broke my damn heart. I knew it wasn't going to end okay because of the beginning flash forward, but i had a tiny sliver of hope that it would've been a bittersweet ending at least, rather than this sad ending. It honestly hurts me to think of how Jaeha's parents must be doing now, they lost both sons... I was REALLY hoping that none of the MCs would be any of the deaths, but kinda knew that was naive. On one hand, at least it was JUST Jaeha, but at the same time he's the worst one to die to me. He had it so hard, but at least he got closure with Taeoh and was trying to do the right thing in the end. I know Yoseob is fucking crazy, but i still wish he could've found SOME level of true happiness, i hate that the story took the absolute worst possible path where he's concerned. I was REALLY wanting him to get help and then Jaeha comes to pick him up in the future. I can appreciate the ending for being really well written, thought provoking and impactful, but it hurts and i wanted a happier ending. I mean, Yoseob thinks Jaeha's there, so that's a small comfort, but that comfort disappeared when Jaeha vanished. It's just all around sad, for everyone. Taeoh is scarred, Jaeha's parents must be devastated, Yoseob has a bit of a bittersweet ending as he thinks Jaeha's there but we know and it's just sad... I suppose Yura and Jaeha's friends were a warm welcome, they took a lot of the edge off. Jaeha just didn't deserve it. The story gave us a glimpse of what could've been the ending before throwing us back onto the crash course that had been set all along. ╥﹏╥ On a side note: The detective REALLY threw me off, it was weird that they threw in a doppelganger at the end there. I take comfort in that he soothes Taeoh and Yoseob with his presence though.
You said exactly what in feeling too... I still had some hope until the end, I hoped that Yoseob would get some help, that things would have become a bit better...
I don't know... I would've loved to see Yoseob finally have a normal or semi-formal life, to see Jaeha be more secure and be with his brother, to see Taeoh overcome his problems...
It just feels so tragic and harsh... if only Yoseob had had therapy since he was a child, maybe he wouldn't have ended like that... It's just so sad and realistic
Crazy people can and do usually find happiness too though! :P
I'm starting to feel like the Sihyoon is the lesser of two evils, tbh... Don't get me wrong, what he's doing is incredibly fucked up and will probably ruin everything between himself, Kyunghee and Kyunghee's mother, but as of right now he isn't a danger to anyone and his crazy is directed specifically at Kyunghee with Kyunghee's mother being collateral damage. Junsik is more of a loose cannon, imo. I also feel as though Sihyoon treats Kyunghee really well, albeit in between bouts of rape/threats/etc... It's like he doesn't WANT to force Kyunghee, but WILL to keep him by his side, there was even that scene where he was raping Kyunghee and Kyunghee looked back to see Sihyoon looking really sad. It keeps showing him say stuff like "it got worse" and looking sad. You can tell he hates their current relationship, but not enough to let him go. He also related with Kyunghee's mother about how she just wants Kyunghee to be happy. For me it's always felt like Sihyoon does what he does out of love while as Junsik seems to be more obsessed and that makes him dangerous. I think it started out as love for Junsik, but quickly turned to obsession once he was cast aside, it doesn't help that he knows about Sihyoon taking advantage of Kyunghee either... In his head, he still believes all that Kyunghee said to him about Sihyoon (which is kinda true, but he was clearly trying to manipulate Junsik, not genuinely asking for help), this gives him a white knight complex and makes him disregard what Kyunghee says as the scared ramblings of a victim no longer fighting back. He still thinks it's just that Kyunghee can't ask for his help. I also think that if Kyunghee agrees to properly be with Sihyoon he'd treat him well and stop manipulating everything. Though he's in REALLY deep with Kyunghee's mother, not sure how he'd pull himself out of that one if they started really dating. To me, Junsik's path is the darker path Sihyoon could've taken after being cast aside by Kyunghee, though Sihyoon's isn't much better. At least Sihyoon realizes what he's doing and hates it, he's managed to keep his sanity while as Junsik is losing it. Just my opinion! ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I got the feeling that what he meant when he said "the problems aren't the same!" wasn't that his bj rape was "less" rape than what happened to Nachi, but that what Nachi did to him and Nachi being "allowed" to be upset about being raped aren't connected. I took from it that he was saying "it doesn't matter what you did to me or that rapist, you still have the right to be upset you got raped". Nachi was saying he didn't have the right to be upset about the rape since he invited the guy to sex first in the past and because he had done the same thing (he raped him) to Chiaki with that blowjob. On a side note: I see someone asking if the bj scene was rape, the answer is without a doubt yes. There is no argument here for it NOT being rape. Nachi had 2 people hold Chiaki down while he performed a sexual act on him while he was saying he doesn't want it. I'm not trying to sound mean, but how is this even up for debate? If it was Chiaki getting turned on and cumming that confused you, that was just a physical reaction, he protests the entire time and even looks hurt and tries to switch rooms after. Nachi sees that he hurt Chiaki with the rape and that's why he looks all shaken and tells the 2 to leave right after. Yes, without a doubt, no matter how you look at it, it was rape.
Omfl, yes! That is exactly what I thought Chiaki was trying to say but just too clumsy to express what he actually meant. I just couldn't figure out a way to say it myself.
Well, if you just look at the flow of the conversation from ch 3, pgs 17-20 you can see pretty clearly that is what he meant. I think what confused people was the translator's note on ch 3, pg 20 that said "so bj rape and sex rape aren't the same thing? #yaoi logic", this made people think that's what Chiaki was saying, but the dialogue is all there. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Yup. Now that I look at it again I think that's what's made me unsure of the whole point of what he was trying to say/less able to be convincing of what I believed he was trying to say.
***@Coffeedrinker and @Clo, don't reply to this. It has nothing to do with you, i already know you don't agree. Leave it alone. This is for others who might've JUST read ch 4 and are confused. I find it sad that a lot of people hate on Kureshima so here's my perspective on how things went down*** TO BE CLEAR, MY OPINION ON WHETHER IT WAS RAPE OR NOT IS NO, IT WAS MADE TO LOOK LIKE THAT ON PURPOSE BEFORE DIALOGUE CONFIRMED IT WASN'T, IT WAS " DUB-CON". IT WAS MADE TO LOOK LIKE RAPE TO APPEAL TO A CERTAIN AUDIENCE BEFORE OONO RET-CONNED IT. ON ONE HAND YOU COULD SAY "YES, IT WAS BEFORE THE DIALOGUE", BUT I'M INCLUDING IT. IF WE'RE TALKING BEFORE THE DIALOGUE, THEN YES, BECAUSE WE DIDN"T HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION IT LOOKED LIKE RAPE. Now, Both Oono and Kureshima know Oono is already in love with Kureshima before the sex in ch 3. They talk about it. Look at ch 3, pg 21, on it you see Oono having issues imaging his delusions, he says it's because Kureshima is there, but he's lying to himself (Kureshima says this in a second). Kureshima starts dirty talking and Oono starts to get horny (Kureshima starts dirty talking and he's immediately able to see his delusions? Coincidence?), he says "h-hold up! something is wrong here. -he starts shivering because he's horny- this is bad. I'm starting to feel the same as back then". After he gets horny he tries to look down, this is another hint about the denial Kureshima is about to call Oono on, he's trying to look away because Kureshima is getting him horny and he doesn't want to admit it. Kureshima tells him to "keep your head up! Don't look down!" and says "so now, who is licking you?". There is a brief moment here where Oono tries to lie to himself and say Sasaki, even though he had just acknowledged he can't imagine her before he realizes he's imagining Kureshima doing all the stuff Kureshima was saying and he instantly tries to say it's not true both to himself in his head and out loud to Kureshima. Kureshima then says "that's what you were imagining the other day at the park, didn't you?" and "even after that you weren't on your own, I helped you with your delusions". Kureshima is saying here that Oono is lying to himself, that Oono has been interested in him since the park scene where he helped Oono come by putting his foot on Oono's dick and that Oono was imagining him in that park scene as well as in the other delusions after. Oono knows it's true so he can't deny any of this and looks how he does in ch 3 because he wants to deny it, but he can't. THAT'S why he has tears and is blushing, he's being forced to realize he's been imagining another another dude sexually. If you look back in ch 3, you can see a hint that Oono is already aware of Kureshima sexually when he goes to take off his clothes and then gets flustered and says he shouldn't in front of Kureshima. "bros" change clothes in front of each other all the time. This is when Kureshima says "reality is better than delusions" and enters Oono. He's saying reality is better than being fucked by him in his delusions. People misunderstand this scene. He's not raping Oono, he's forcing him to accept reality and quit the denial. This is why Kureshima gets pissed midway through ch 4 when Oono yells at him asking why he had sex with him, he thought he got through to Oono and that he'd be more honest from then on. That's why Kureshima comes in talking to Oono "normally" and "like nothing happened", he talks to Oono normally because he didn't do anything wrong, he knows their feelings are mutual and the purpose of the sex was to get Oono to admit it. Oono never said no to the sex either. He said no to masturbating, but that was before he agreed to do it. Look at the very small flashback at the beginning of chapter 4 where it shows Kureshima fucking Oono, he's smiling. Kureshima expected to go to school tomorrow and things to progress now that Oono is facing reality. Kureshima gets angry because he sees Oono is just going on pretending he doesn't know what happened when Oono asks why Kureshima fucked him. Kureshima says "you know why!". Because he does. Oono knows how he feels about Kureshima, but he's "pretending not to notice" like he says at the end of ch 4. He also knows that Kureshima was right about everything he said and that Kureshima had sex with him so that he'd have to acknowledge that he'd been imagining Kureshima all along and that he is in love already. And it worked, Oono DID get past his denial, albeit a little after the sex at the end of ch 4. At first, at the beginning of ch 4, he was still lying to himself. He says "My ass is bleeding and sore. He didn't stop no matter how much it hurt". This is only a half-truth. At the end of chapter 4 he says that he "intended to blame Kureshima", but that the truth is that he always "yearned to be touched again" and that "reality was much better than delusion". Oono is saying that the dialogue at the beginning of chapter 4 was him "blaming Kureshima" and that the sex was actually very pleasurable (much better than delusion) and that he actually wanted Kureshima to touch him deep down during the sex scene in ch 3. I already covered this, but i'll say it again since it's midway through ch 4. Oono is also lying to himself when he acts like he doesn't know why Kureshima had sex with him. There is a scene midway through ch 4 where Oono yells at Kureshima "why did you do it" and Kureshima says "you know why". After this scene is when Kureshima gets a girlfriend and Oono gets jealous and EVERYTHING clicks into place for him. End of denial.
I guess everyone jumped ship to AntonxHeath? I guess the fact that Anton's father is also fucking Arwin is too much to move past? Not sure why though... You all act like he doesn't shower in between bouts of sex. When Anton goes in it's not like his dad's cum is still there, it's just a fresh asshole. It looks to me like ArwinXMr. Arnault isn't really a thing, it's one sided on Arwin's side, so what is the problem with Arwin being able to move on to someone who actually loves him? I mean, at least Mr. Arnault treated him gently, but he isn't in love, it doesn't seem. Pretty soon Anton will realize his feelings and he'll start to treat Arwin better, i'm sure. Once he does i bet you'll all be jumping back to this ship. I'll stay right here on this ship waiting. Though Heath IS charming AF. I wouldn't HATE it if Mr. Arnault actually ended up falling for Arwin and they ended up happy with AntonxHeath being a thing, but so far this isn't enough to make me jump ship. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

He has a point when he says he should take everything into account, but i can also see that he's being hypocritical as he just insulted the acting president without knowing his situation and refused to elaborate on the issue while making multiple scenes. It's clear that it's not just his professional side talking here, i'd even say it's probably mostly that he's angry about his relationship with his brother. If it was about him wanting our MC to handle things as a professional, since he just acknowledged himself that the MC is new with the "clean hands" comment, he'd have guided him rather than just insulted him. He came in not even knowing he was the acting president, which means he must've seen his hands and assumed he was a new worker. This means he either treats new workers with attitude and refuses to guide them, or he already had a reason to hate our MC beforehand and that's why he treated the "new guy" (again, he didn't know he was the president till he was told) like that. He just jumped on the new information that our MC is the president to try and make himself more justified. "This is even worse, you're the president and can't even handle THIS, you're the president!", using his higher position as a means of attack. I can tell he's just being petty, and while what he's saying probably DOES have a grain of his actual thoughts on our MC's abilities in it, it's obvious he's just angry about their relationship and i won't hold that against him as i'm sure he'll soon get over it. It'll help our MC grow as well. I feel like once he accepts them he wont be nearly as harsh about our MC's shortcomings. I think all the harshness is about the relationship. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
