The ml does regret but idk if it was that satisfying, he cant stand that asil doesnt reciprocate his feelings and he apologizes for everything and begs asil to give him a chance. they make a deal that if asil after one month still doesnt reciprocate feel the same way as ml, ml has to let him go. later on asil kinda recounts his past but doesnt feel that anger towards ml he had before
then theres an incident where theyre attacked and ml gets shot while protecting mc. Mc cries because of this and this was a big deal for him bc he couldnt believe he was crying for valerie. after having prayed so much in the past for valerie's death, he realizes he no longer wants that. when valerie wakes up from his coma he thinks mc has left him so he kinda starts crashing out but then he sees asil. asil reminds valerie of their one month deal and valerie says he will let asil go. asil gets mad that valerie is letting him go just like that and turns to leave but then valerie begs for him to stay again and even cries. asil ends up staying and i just remember valerie became this desperate anxious man that asil had to keep soothing by saying he wouldnt leave him. then they end up together as asil tells him he wants to start over. they are together but valerie is still very anxious and gets very paranoid that asil will leave him. last chapter they decide to stay together but from what i remember, asil still never told valerie "i love you" back. thats the end
I just remember i felt insanely bad for asil the whole time, i feel like he really didnt have anyone in his life and everyone including his family had betrayed him or undermined his efforts to keep them safe
