This was sooool good, incredible. I was honestly prepared for a sad ending so the ending was really comforting. One thing I didn’t really underhand is why Sho was locked up, he needed treatments but why was even looking out a window not allowed? I know Midori said it was to protect him, but I didn’t really catch up on what her plan for him was. To just live there forever? To become her successor (which seems contrary to what’s revealed about her last)? I know she planned for Yonghyun to inherit everything, was that planned from the very beginning and the sole reason why he was chosen as the friend? Also, why did she have to kill that old man instead of just letting him quit and live out his last years in peace? For Sho it was a test, but I don’t think that was the case for the old man.

I also have the same question, like why did Midori prevent Sho from going outside? Is it because she wanted Sho to live like Ao? Cause Ao was imprisoned and isolated as well, but it doesn't make sense if Midori wanted to break free away from the Hasegawa family, cause she's doing the same thing to Sho as what they did (tho she's less harsh and a little more humane)
As for Yonghyun being chosen as the one to inherit from the start, I am not 100% sure but I think Midori wanted Sho to have someone as a friend at first. Because spirits like them get lonely so they find a human to be with them. Since Sho got attached to Yonghyun, maybe Midori got the idea to make him the successor, but Yonghyun still needed to pass some sort of test, and their escape was the test itself.
As for Itami (the old man), I believe that Midori didn't kill him exactly, but he volunteered to offer his life (in ch 61). As per the Hasegawa tradition, they needed a sacrifice to transfer the ownership from Midori to Yonghyun. That ritual has been followed closely through generations in the family. Since Midori does not want to do the rule of the successor killing the predecessor, Itami offered his life instead.
Though Midori theorized that maybe they didn't need to do all that since the pledge that Yonghyun made with Sho was not because of the Hasegawa tradition so they didn't need to follow their process to transfer the oath. Sho was a new spirit and Yonghyun was the first to make a pledge with him so their contract was something different.
Feel free to correct me, but that's what I understood from the story

I love characters like Midori who’s portrayed as the ”villan” at the start who you think nothing could ever make you like them but then you get their backstory and understand them better. I think we were all rooting for her in the end, I’m still not completely sure why she needed Ao to live isolated to the extent he did (not even being allowed to look out a window). The whole sect thing with the meeting was really creepy. A lot of confusion is probably due to the magical uncanny touch that the story has where some things will always remain a mystery. I forgot about the need of a sacrifice, thank you for pointing that out it makes a lot of sense. I’ve found a stronger sense of closure regarding this work just by time passing and I hope you do to! Overall a very good story where you dive in way deeper than you can even imagine when you start reading it.

Stopped reading somewhere around the ending of season one because I’m weak and the jump scares got to my heart. I liked the plot and from what I’m gathering from the comments season 2 seems really good, maybe even better. Is season 2 scarier then season 1? I don’t really mind the killing itself, or when they kill each other, just when the killer comes out of nowhere and their face is all dark or covered and can’t be identified.

It's a horror slasher game so there's gonna be blood and stabbing involved. i'm also scared of gorey stuff but imo this is not even close to make me feel disgusted, it's not bad (≧∀≦)

In the beginning I though it simply be: MC finds out the king is Rocky, MC tries to stop history but the outcome is the same (kingdom falls and king is imprisoned in stone), MC is killed during battle and sent back somewhere around before he entered tomb. This time they both recognize each other and it ends with them getting to live together happily ever after (compared to how it ended when the kingdom fell).
That changing the future could be possible adds a whole new dimension of possibilities. My theory is that the future Anubis saw on the scale was the original ”fated” one and because of some higher power (related to/activated by the heart stone) MC was set back in time to change history that resulted in the future he came from (history changing = butterfly effect) and that Anubis couldn’t see the future MC saw because it wasn’t created yet. I still think it will end with MC going back to the future and a reunion between MC and the king, but that also means it still ended with the king being imprisoned which implies a bad ending so I don’t know. I feel like this story has shown that the author always managed to add more new depth then expected through the story. I’m looking forward to how this will play out!

Unfortunately, its not translation error. He says "s*ck my d*ck". There is always this weird interaction between Hyuk and Minjae so idk author is doing this on purpose or if its random. Though, i really disliked Minjae in this scene for many reasons. One because he also has lover. Second, because this is sexual harassment and it isnt okay. This is the main reason.
My theory, in that tablet, there are videos of Minjae and Jungwoo's being abused. Sexual predators collect videos, after all. And maybe presidents weakness or something.

Can someone plz spoil me what the relationship between Taesan and MC’s (past?) crush who’s name I don’t remember and just got sent in that ambulance. Like why is he picking Taesan over MC and why is he upset when Taesan even interacts with MC to the point that he beats him up. Why would he start constantly abusing Taesan instead of just playing along with MC’s feelings in the beginning? I have the feeling that their relationship somehow started with him developing romantic feelings for Taesan and tearing him poorly because he can’t accept it himself and Taesan does his best to try to keep the peace. I have this really bad feeling that he has been s*xualy abusive towards him too and I really hope I’m over analyzing this.
I haven't read novel (I plan to but haven't yet). For now, as we know it the mc and Junwoo, his old crush in the ambulance, were only just ever friends. Mc would also try to be useful for Junwoo to gain favor even though he didn't really expect much from it. (Example is lying to Junwoo's father for him.) Junwoo was never aware the mc had feelings for him and still isn't aware, the mc never plans on telling him either.
As for Taesan, we know Junwoo has a very bad and possessive personality, especially twords Taesan because he's attracted to him. We know Taesan has positive feelings twords the mc (and personally, this is my own theory though, that Taesan actually has romantic feelings for the mc and Junwoo knows about this but the mc doesn't. I also somewhat believe this is related to what Taesan was going to tell him in the school shed before Junwoo interrupted, that's why Junwoo gets so angry whenever the mc helps Taesan because then Junwoo gets made out to be the villain, in which he is.. but yk, meanwhile the mc only gains more favor from him by doing so.)
Before Taesan catched Junwoo's eye, Taesan and the mc we're only ever somewhat friendly since he was a new kid at school I believe (unless I'm misremembering.) Their relationship wasn't that deep but it was positively friendly until Junwoo met him and instantly caught feelings leading to the intense bullying followed by the negative feelings from the mc (1 week no attention: ☠☠☠)
This is just purely assumption on my part but this is wht I see how their relationships go:
At the start, Jun(MC) likes Junwoo(trash) and is showing it by being helpful to him.
Then here comes Taesan. Junwoo likes him, but shows it by bullying him (I don't know if it's because he blames him for his turn out or that he's just a psychopath).
Of course, Jun catches up on to this. And thus tries to sabotage(?) Taesan and Junwoo's relationship by acting as Taesan's savior.
However, it backfires because by doing that, Taesan ends up liking Jun. Junwoo didn't like that, thus beating Jun.
After the squabble, Jun realized that liking Jun is not worth it (at all).
Of and forgot to mention this, but I think one of the reasons Junwoo is bullying Taesan is because he wants to isolate him from his classmates. If Taesan is isolated from the class, it will be easy for Junwoo to carry out his whims on the poor guy. But of course, Jun gets envious of the attention Taesan gets out of Junwoo. So he counters it by being the only one to help Taesan from being bullied by Junwoo. For all I know, Jun only do the saving by the chance that he gets more of the attention Taesan gets out of Junwoo. Well, he gets more than what he's bargained for and finally snaps back to the realization that liking Junwoo is not worth it, at all.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Jigu asked for his christmas plans IN THE GAME, and as far as I know Jigu knows that the neighbor is his online friend but also know that the neighbor doesn’t know??? I feel like if he had assumed he knew, that would’ve at least talked about the game in their irl conversations. They both said they’d be alone and play, I get that they interpreted it differently but there wasn’t really a spoken mutual agreement to meet up and play together- just that they both probably would be online around the same time and probably meet. I do underhand where the delulu coms from but I just feel like he acts like Yeowon KNOWS that he is his online friend, but they have literally never talked about the game which seems super weird because there’s just no way the would never talk about it irl. (I love this btw, I’m not irritated just confused)
