I think it's just his breed. He is a shepard dog and they usually have lots and lots of fur if he shaved he would probably look like the others. He just chooses not to talk cause or his loyalty to Mr A I think

A story this short leaving an empty hole in my heart after I finished it really tells how good quality this is. The dialogue and the way the author goes about their feelings, how they communicate with each other, and how they draw all these feelings and interaction is so beautiful and well done.
