Saw a lot of comments on Liz-hate but I actually genuinely like her character? I don’t think she’s realized she’s using a charm spell, since she’s a bit of an airhead, and if people have been acting that way since birth she probably doesn’t even realize something’s wrong. Plus, she doesn’t seem like a white-lotus demon bitch you typically see in the ‘heroine’s true character’, which makes me like her more.
This entire manga is about Alicia going on to become the ‘Greatest Villainess’, but like she said, you can’t be the greatest villain if you don’t have the greatest hero. There’s a reason we think of ‘Joker’ whenever someone says ‘Batman’, and vice versa.
I like the fact that, as far as we know, Liz is a stereotypical otome game heroine, but we’re looking at it through the viewpoint of reality versus a game. Politics isn't that straightforward. Idealist proposals don’t just magically get pushed through the first time and somehow it all works immediately, they actually discuss things through. Liz actually listens to Alicia when she gives her critique, but she doesn’t back down on her proposals. We see ACTUAL development and depth of BOTH characters, not just a villainess winning all the time because the hero is too stupid or evil to come up with a proper plan.
It’s FUN to see them fight. They actually feel like rivals. They feel more real BECAUSE they have lots of flaws. Do I like Liz as a ‘person’? No, although I can respect her resolve. Do I like Liz as a character? DEFINITELY. Alicia wouldn’t be able to shine as much as she does without Liz’s character being as well built as it currently is, and Liz wouldn’t be becoming the heroine she’s meant be without Alicia constantly pushing her. The brighter the light, the darker the shadows.
I love Alicia as she is, by far top 5 favorite villainess protagonists, but it wouldn’t feel right if she didn’t have the other side of her coin. I can’t help but feel that this is what female rivalry done right looks like.
The hate she gets is not because of her personality but because she's acting as saint yet doing the villain job, if you remember at the early chapters when the mc was about to get rap€d and ki||ed liz was angry because she defended herself, no matter how stupid can someone be, you can never tell a SA victim not to defend herself or the police line ' but nothing happened, and you should have waited for someone to help you ' ,that just make them hate you more not less

There're definitely clues that as a being loved by the gods, she may have been unconsciously pushing things into her favor which lead her to becoming a shallow idealist.
Alicia's presence then, grants her more depth & dimensionality by bringing her dark side out & making her question herself.

I love them both! I’m so happy he finally decided to go traveling everywhere, and I’m so happy that Natsu is having fun, and above all else, I’m sooo happy they got together and travel together everywhere. That’s what my parents do too! They’re not archaeologists, but before they had me their ‘dates’ were backpacking through Europe and the Americas. Even now, we all go together on tons of road and camping trips, in nation or internationally, so I love seeing a couple like this that reminds so much of my parents. They’re super cute! This one’s going down as an all-time favorite!

I'm worried about Rin. He seems...way too calm for a lot of the situations, even if he shows happiness he isn't really showing anger or grief much, when he tends to be a bit more hot-headed. It feels like he's slowly moving toward the Demon King Rin of the future, and I'm starting to wonder if there really is no way to prevent it from happening. It would certainly be more interesting if it wasn't prevented so I'm excited to see where it goes from here.

Normally I’d hate the ML, but not as much this time. He needs to have a talk, real talk, with Irene. It’s not his fault he was tricked into going to a new world, and not only his but multiple lives including his brother’s were held hostage by that bitch fake saint. They’re espers and they’re dying without guiding and she thinks it’s okay to toy with them like that? You think it’s okay to use someone’s pain and life as hostages to get what you want?
Of course he’s crazy: he was forced into a new world by the person he trusts the most, forced to work like crazy, couldn’t get back, and he knows no one in the world. After being betrayed like that with no way home, of course he isn’t going to like Seohyeon right at the beginning and even if he falls in love later, he doesn’t trust anyone in that world since that bitch probably is out to kill FL now since fake saint didn’t match with him like initially planned. Then he finds her burned and dead, realises he did it to her accidentally, and kills himself. Then he finds himself back in the past with no way to find her. How the fuck do you even begin addressing that kind of trauma???
As for Seohyeon (Irene), it’s just as bad. She has no context so how is she going to know why he’s so freaking paranoid and protective and jealous all the time, so to her he’s just a psychopath who doesn’t love her. She was stuck in an abusive relationship for years before inevitably dying, and now she’s finally found what she’d always longed for: a loving family. She’s changed and realized their past relationship was NOT okay and learned how to speak her truth. Now she’s forced to face the root cause of her trauma but not only is he very different he’s also showing severe signs of obsession with her and she can’t understand why. All those years of trauma need addressing too, and the only way to get some closer is to actually speak to the one who caused them.
Of course ML doesn’t know what he did was wrong, at least not all of it, if she never told him she wasn’t okay with it. Doesn’t make it right, but if you think about it, he’s in a huge flight or fight mode for years and finally finds something he cares about: of course he’s afraid it’s going to be taken away again, it’s already happened once and the person that caused it is still alive and has a lot of power. On her end, she’s go to tell him that enough is ENOUGH. He’s lost it and thinks he’s hallucinating half the time, of course he’s going to be super happy if the person he saw dead is alive and of course she’s going to be confused as to why he’s acting affectionate.
They need to sit the fuck down and talk. Afterwards, romance or whatever might be able to happen, but he needs to realise what he did wrong first and how to change himself, and she needs closure and understanding about why some stuff happened the way it did. From there, FL can decide whether or not to accept him. But I’m not going to hate the ML completely on this one for going bonkers from severe mental and physical trauma and the source of it continues to be thrown in his face over and over again, day after day.

If you can’t tell your parents no once regarding you engagement, what makes you think it’ll be possible to do it again? And you know what? I get where the alphas are coming from too, their parents probably gave them the ultimatum of either get engaged or you’ll lose your position. I’m not condoning their actions in any way, that just means that their ‘love’ wasn’t worth more than the position they’ll receive and that’s totally fine. At least have the common decency to tell that to your significant other (or the one you’ve professed your love to) and break up with them.
They're the ones who said they’ll treat omegas differently, that they see them as humans of equal status, and yet they’re the ones taking advantage of their lower position the most. Both of the male leads should go fuck themselves, or in this case, go fuck each other.
Genuinely. Like, the art is actually pretty good, and the world building is surprisingly interesting but they just HAD TO FOCUS 90% OF THE STORY ON RAPE LIKE WHY THE FLIPPIN DUCK. You don’t have to draw out all the scenes, they should probably be depicted more accurately too and they DEFINITELY shouldn’t be sexualizing or glorifying rape like they are.
If they had just, I dunno, FOCUSED ON CLIFF, this shit would’ve been soooooo much better. Case in point: despite the lineup of shitty rapists and borderline trauma inducing rape scenes pretty much every chapter, this story still has relatively high reviews and we’re still coming back because the Cliff subplot is SO INTRIGUING. YOU COULDVE KEPT ALL THE RAPE BUT JUST NOT GLORIFIED IT. GIVE ME MORE DESPERATION. GIVE ME MORE SUICIDAL THOUGHTS. GIVE ME MORE HATE AND REVENGE PLOTTING. SO MUCH POTENTIAL WASTED UGH
