Idk if this is true, but there have been talks about whether these two will really be together due to the author’s comments. People are concerned over the age gap, to which they respond that the author planned to never have them be together, only that the younger one has a one-sided love, and that the author thinks it’s funny to trick people into believing it’ll go anywhere. Which reassured readers who are concerned over the age gap. But if that’s really the case, it’s still a lot of baiting of skinship and flirting, so it still defeats that purpose lmfao.

Okay so I didn’t see anything directly that the author said, only comments under their social media of readers explaining what they saw from the author’s story. Something along the lines of: “the boy is the one who will fall in love, there won’t even be a kiss between the two as the creator describes it as a platonic romantic.” And tera is unconfirmed whether he is straight or not.
So I’m unsure whether that means it will be like bromance? Or their relationship will be open for interpretation, no confirmed relationship labels, but will have romantic gestures? The confusing thing is, if it truly is only platonic, why the amount of teasing on both the story and art on social media, plus the tags saying BL and cute couple under every post lmao.
Didn’t expect the next chapter to be the series finale but I’m not mad at Tristan becoming a vampire finally. Though I REALLY hope that there’s extra side stories.

I can only imagine it in reality like: Let’s say there’s a pair of siblings irl, one girl, and one guy. They’re both childhood friends with another dude. The sister noticed that her brother and their friend are mutually in love but don’t want to pursue it due to society’s standards about gay couples. So then she takes the opportunity to make a sacrifice that no one asked for, and that she assumed to be the only possible way, by basically drugging and baby trapping the friend, running away once she gave birth, and hoping they become a happy family together. That’s fr so dumb.
The only thing I think would be right is yuuma leaving both their lives for the better. Which I would’ve preferred him to do BEFORE plotting the rape and baby trapping. Maybe even getting into his own relationship so they both wouldn’t have to worry about him anymore, would have been a far better choice? Yuuma seriously decided to take it upon himself to make a life changing decision/action that changed everyone involved’s lives. This was not for the main two’s own good. If it was, he would’ve thought about just ASKING them both how they felt and talking about what they should do about their feelings FIRST instead of assuming. The fact that his only thought process of joining them together was to create a huge problem and dumping it onto them is crazy. And also having a child is not the only way to create a family??

Anyways I think one thing is not a big fan of in this manhwa, is how they continuously introduce new characters with op powers instead of just expanding on the characters the story already has. Like it feels like the OG friend group has been long been left behind to become side characters, for a while in order to have the new characters come into the story. Like why are we adding so many OP enemies when they hardly even defeated one?? And then what’s else is gonna happen, they’re gonna magically defeat all of them at once in the end?

I do hope that this manhwa is better written than lilith’s cord. Of course lilith’s cord’s focus was entirely different, the plot/action became anticlimactic in the end. (So like the enemy they were building up to be OP the entire story was defeated pretty easily in like one hit and one chapter). Hope that isn’t gonna be the case here.

So I checked out a thread I could find to see the comparisons (didn’t actually go to X because I don’t have the app, only searched for links on regular browser). And ngl I think people are reaching for saying it’s plagiarism. (At least from what I have seen so far, anyone is free to send me more links if there’s more).
The comparison was basically between the cover art/single piece art of their stories characters and one scene from the manhwa itself. I can see similarities which makes me believe this manhwa author was INSPIRED and made their own version or art with the BL author’s work as inspiration. Because looking at all the cover art and single piece art, I don’t see any that shows tracing or being exactly the same. There’s enough differences for it to feel like they lean into similar style. It’s like the two artists who made secret lady and the stepmother’s marchen. Both super similar art and style. I’ve seen several artists have the same style for single piece art with basic color background, headshot, putting shadow behind the character, and those computer pop up bubbles.
Moving onto the scene, yes, I can see the similarities, but again, no tracing, and not EXACTLY the same poses except for the one kiss image that shows the dude’s face up close.

My opinion:
Do I think this manhwa’s author did anything wrong? Yes I do, because I think the author should admit that at the very least they were inspired by the BL author. It should be obvious that’s the case. However, do I think they plagiarized and stole the BL author’s work/copied their story? No. It’s simply because this scene and plot is literally so similar to so many other stories I’ve read before. Plagiarism in my eyes is full on stealing several word-for-word scenes, tracing, and exact character design/plot. Childhood friend turned fwb is nothing new. That one scene comparison isn’t entirely new either. The BL author definitely wasn’t the first to create a scene of someone pulling up a shirt, making out, or tickling. I just think this manhwa’s author should just apologize and say they were inspired and that they didn’t mean to copy anything.
Can you imagine how many artists would be accused of plagiarism if they included the topic of transmigration historical plots? Everyone who reads that genre KNOWS how recycled the plot is. Imagine getting accusations of plagiarism for those inspired stories by the little mermaid or twilight. What about how hundreds of both BL and straight artists use the same exact backgrounds, accessories, horses, food, etc? Like they use the same rich house backgrounds lmaoo. It’s a fact that artists in general are HEAVILY inspired by any work before them. Both when it comes to plot and art. It’s more rare to find artists who are super original.
I just think people in general have a habit of finding new drama to talk about and attempting to nitpick everything and overanalyze things to prove a point or get more people on their side. I remember when a cute af manhwa got canceled because another author accused them of plagiarizing a red haired FL smh. (If anyone remembers it’s that one manhwa where the FL and ML have a scene at a ball and they both crouch and sneak to the food table, while the ML helps her grab some food).

Some people say that this is worse than non zero sum and no reason. I guess if you count the amount of gang rape+rape in it then yeah. It depends on what exactly you deem as worse (like is physical violence the worst for you or amount of rape, mindbreak, etc).But in my opinion I think non zero sum and no reason is worse- FOR NOW at least until the full manhwa is still ongoing and I actually see the contents in its entirety. I think it’s cause in this one, the mc seems to fight back a lot? Compared to non zero sum, where it the mc is totally mindbroken there. And no reason had some pretty stomach-turning moments that I can’t forget. (That one fisting scene made me wanna vomit). Although if you don’t count that scene maybe I’d think this is worse than no reason?
Ngl I’m surprised these specific genre of dark BL authors haven’t just written full crime documentaries lmfao. That would actually make more sense if they put all that thought to work. It’s pretty wild that there’s still more horrible real life stories worse than these BL fiction works. (Like junko furuta case. If an author actually had that level of detail, I’d genuinely be terrified).

Anyways on another note, I checked out the novel spoilers thread and despite there being the most content of spoilers there, the way the spoilers was written was so hard to understand- it didn’t make sense at times. It’s like reading a wattpad story of a scene and trying to imagine the scene being described and the writer isn’t making sense LOL. (Ex: “He pushed me against the wall and stared into my eyes. I felt hot as I was on my stomach shivering beneath him). I would read one part of a spoiler of a scene but then some stuff wouldn’t even make sense and felt like a part was taken out to jump to the next action of the characters.
It’s better written here if you find someone who shared spoilers in the comments from what they read in the novel. And maybe like one review was a bit detailed on the novel page reviews section (which still wasn’t enough because they also said they didn’t want to spoil much).

On another note- hope this doesn’t end like ‘Can I take it back,’ where the whole story disappeared off the internet. The best scenario is this author not actually have plagiarized. I can only hope that there’s only similarities due to inspiration- which several stories have done for decades. (Which is why so many sex scenes and romance cliches are nearly all the same and predictable in millions of stories, ppl take what they know from those who did it before them). Like imagine if people get copyright for having a sex position in a story, that another author did before them- that’d be wild LOL. Not the disciple defenders doing it again and not comprehending or remembering any of the story smh. I said it before and I’ll say it again:
Chapter 39, in FL’s words she TRAINED them, not RAISED them. Ppl are acting like they saw a scene of her acting like a whole mother, and feeding kids, letting them live in her house, etc. The disciples hardly know anything about her and just mentioned her teaching them. And ppl are questioning why she cares for Claude but not her disciples? Maybe cause one is an actual child of her beloved friend and she actually is helping raise vs already grown students whom she only taught when it came to magic.
Instead of people feeling bad for the disciples, notice the amount of people they were willing to hurt in order to fulfill their own selfish wishes. They didn’t even care about their master’s own wish. They have an unhealthy obsession which even was pointed by themselves. It is not the FL’s obligation nor fault that people decided to be obsessed?? And also the equivalent these disciples are doing is like being taught by a teacher who they like, and then when they resign from the job, they decide to stalk them and cause havoc just to get the teacher by their side again.
