tbh haruki wasn't too bad; her mindset is pretty common and relatable if it is real life. i simply doesn't like her because she's like a standard villain in shoujo manga. it's like pavlovian dog, whenever there's a girl rival in shoujo manga, i would dislike her. just that.
tbh i dont understand why some said it's grooming.
it's still technically a crime because yuusuke is still a minor, but haruki didn't raise him, their age aren't that apart. since the first time they met, yuusuke also had that kind of feeling towards her. i think, for yuusuke the problem wasn't the physical relationship, but the lack of feeling and sincerity. at least it's seems to be what author tried to show.
she still did something bad but it wasn't unforgivable and I respect author's choice to give her a closure. well tbh author should write her development better, but this is fine. I still don't like romance rival and i just wanma read more maki.

Grooming doesn’t mean they raised them then started dated, I mean it’s a type of grooming but it isn’t textbook grooming. She groomed him by entering a sexual relationship with him when he was 13-14 and she way at least 16-17 the age mentality gap by itself would have her in jail. But then she continued using him sexually even in her college days. Like she manipulated his feelings into having a sexual relationship basically putting him on a leash. If you do ignore the age gap and child grooming happening, it’s still classified as grooming as she used him and groomed him to never say no to sexual favors for her.

laughing at reading the comments. valid opinions
i only read the recent chapters so i have no idea how bad self insert is it (usually visible in introduction)
the stereotyping make me a bit uncomfy but i will keep an open mind and since this is kind of inspired from folk story, the stereotyping probably made to fit the theme.
anyway i still think this is entertaining in its own way

although i love this artist's art and characters design, many parts are unclear. for example the politic can be confusing, a lot of dialogue are too cryptics, and the movements/action aren't detailed. ps. also the gender of the characters (this one is probably me problem lol)
it's definitely clearer in novel narrative. for example in the latest chapter (ch 64) sion quickly went to hide in a small secret room because of they afraid the ruckus/noise was really dangerous. in this webtoon, they suddenly just in the small room when parvel returned. the movements and motive isn't explained well.
sure you can guess what happened, but isn't it taxing to always have to infer/guess everything.
some details can be omitted, but this scene is quite precious, i think it's better to take more time at the pacing and the flowing. recently this feel quick

sorry i don't keep the bookmark, it has been a while as well, so the site might have been closed (due to piracy) but if you scroll down on the comment you can see a lot of link shared. or you can copy the korean title and look it up on google. oh i read it via mtl, there's no completed english translation yet

I personally like the fact that you have to deduce and use your own head. It feels more mysterious and a realistic take on trying to understand others' actions, like in real life you can't read others' thoughts to know why they do what they do. But I do find it generally easy to understand what they're implying like this chapter's "hiding after loud noices".

hm hm so half brother. although there's still some doubt, i see no reason to lie about it. they do look alike. and it seems author really intend to write story about parents figure-child relationship. although jing mo's current body isn't blood-related it's still taboo if they enter relationship.
i know some stories just have bl vibe or teasing relationship but never explicitly stated that the characters are together for some reasons, i wonder whether this story will be like that or this might be not even bl to begin with.
if they actually have never been blood related at all, they still have the parent-child power balance.
however i can also see them as couple and it feel like it will happen eventually and naturally. their age aren't much different, they keep thinking of each other, have complex towards each other, and sometimes it feels like there are only two people in the world. obviously author must have intended to make it like that right?
so even if it's technically and morally taboo i dont feel much resistance for now. beside i also dig taboo relationship like master-disciple so half-brothers doesn't feel that weird

alright author, their conflict as parents-child are too deep. if it's resolved can't they just stay as brother and not lover?
it's not about taboo or not, it's just cheating to not make them an example of how parent-child should be. but by the hints, yeah i know.
maaan this make me feel really conflicted.
also the art worsened as usual. sigh I still grateful author keep writing at all

it was told in the story, jing mo was taken by the master because he was the half brother left behind by one of the parents before they died.. but half his heritage is demon, so half brother.
the only think i can think of is jing mo actually a friend's son left to the parents instead so it won't be counted as incest. Or it's not incest because jing mo was reborn in a puppet body thus they no longer blood related. I prefer the first case.

feel like all hints led to that. actually i dont mind incest much in bl story, it's just weirdly strong in this one. i am more afraid other readers that do not notice at first going to complaints about it later and then this story is not going to be completed translated/finished... thats why i keep bringing it up that they're brothers, parent-child etc.
i mean come on, one more bl work i wont be able to finish, i will lost trust in manhwa translators commitment in general
this is slowly kiling me
