I don't think Param is disgusting, and neither is Mr. Han. They're both flawed individuals. So is Hwi, who took advantage of Param in the beginning to create a power imbalance to solve his feelings of inadequacy.
I think Param needs to communicate more with Hwi and tell him he's stuck in the middle of both of them. If Hwi decides he can't deal with that, then either he leaves or Param decides quickly who he chooses. They're adult men and being an adult is hard in terms of romances, nevertheless hard as a queer adult in a country where gay marriage isn't even legal yet and most older people look down on it.
Hwi deserves someone who is going to communicate with him and be transparent with him, so Hwi has the necessary information to cultivate a romance.
Mr. Han needs therapy, and to create better coping habits to deal with his issues. Nothing wrong with therapy, it's becoming more mainstream in Korea. As it should be.
Param needs to be more honest with everyone about how he feels and try to balance that rational and emotional mind. You're a hormonal mess, both from sex and working out. Take some time to yourself, calm down, access the situation and move along with your next plan.
Just,, communication and better coping mechanisms. That's all.
I'm genuinely wondering how they became like that. How cruel do you have to be to reject someone who helped you like that? Is that a norm for royalty in this setting? Is it just a learned trait from their families? Are they beyond redemption already, or is it something that's still happening in the current time? Are they fully aware of the real story, or are they being spread lies to in order to make Elene seem like a villain so they end up having no pity on her when they have to discard her?? I want more information dagnammit!
I commented briefly on the duality of man, and how "goodness" isn't objective, but some people, my word.
You either have people refusing to read his story, people being conflicted on how to objectively view his morality by weighing his trauma versus his sins, and people refusing to take into account anything that happened in this time line and treating him like the same emperor from the first life.
It's okay that he's a victim of abuse and an awful society and also did the same towards others. That is what happens to people. He has been hurt, yet also hurt others. People's actions do not determine their objective morality.
Spoiler hehe

When the queen went back in time she retained her memories but the red bitch, the Emperor and her sister did as well.
So separating the two versions of the Emperor because of different timelines is wrong since they are the same person (in the sense that he wasn't born again or doesn't remember his wrongdoings)
i personally think separating the two versions is practical for the fact that lucio in this timeline is indeed a different person. how? because rose is a different person, and because patrizia is in the scene. even in the previous timeline lucio was always wrapped around her stupid nail polished finger so we are actually free to say that rose was basically manipulating the empire at that time considering how extremely brainwashed lucio, the ruler, was. she could get him to do crap just by saying i love you and that's the difference with the current lucio. rose is incredibly conscious of her actions because she remembers her mistakes before. because of that, she fails to completely control lucio which lead him to have an inkling that she doesn't truly love him (which is true). that small thought became rose's downfall because it broke the blind love lucio was always under. plus, patrizia's presence only adds up to it. the meat incident and the hunting incident didn't happen in the previous timeline. those were the keypoints to lucio's character development because he's finally broken lose from rose's lies which, in itself, could've been rose's most powerful weapon had she paid more attention to it.
I understand where your coming from but I'm saying lucio then and lucio present are same are becuase he lived through both and by this I mean he remembers both timelines also rose as well so it creates an equal playing field for the characters. If I remember correctly rose was confused that Patricia became queen since Patricia sister was suppose it be so this hints that her memories remained.
she's not like *other girls*~~~
i was pretty sure that my comment was visibly sarcastic, from the spelling of omg to the fact that,, pizza and video games and liking dogs are common. this entire comment thread is literal satire - i referred to the entire phenomenon using the abbreviation in the first post, which is typically used negatively, after all. Also I'd recommend not calling yourself a fujoshi since it's connotation is homophobic? Implying homosexuals are dirty and same sex relationships aren't normal and you're filthy for liking them.

I'm confused, they're Japanese, not Korean, so why do they want to be K-Pop idols?
K-Pop and J-Pop are very different but it takes a lot more to be a K-Pop star than a J-Pop star and so I don't understand how she, living in Japan, wants to become a K-Pop star? Does she just mean idol? Was it like a translation error because they thought K-Pop and J-Pop are the same?
There’s some k pop groups out there like twice who have a few Japan members so it isn’t that weird
*japanese
Were they born and raised in Japan? Even though I'm Korean I don't really pay that much attention to the lore of group members XD
pretty sure they are
damn i'm surprised the higher ups at the companies were okay with letting japanese born and raised girls into a kpop band. the younger generation i can see, but the older generation? maybe not all boomers are bad
As Yakuza.G said, there are a bunch of Japanese kpop idols as well as Chinese and Thai kpop idols and as for the Yalu tag that doesn’t make sense since this is clearly not a yaoi so you can directed that, I’m not sure how a tag can be a plot hole though
* yaoi

It's because having a foreign/foreign-born member makes it easier (language-wise) if you want to promote in that country. Japan is the #2 music industry plus it's close by so it makes sense why they'd allow Japanese people to audition, train and become part of Korean idol groups. It didn't used to be that way but now it's harder to find a group that ONLY has native Korean members as K-pop tries to expand into multiple oversea markets.
I'm specifically talking about the political differences between Japan and Korea. If you're unaware, Japan took Imperial control over Korea, enslaving many of our people, making it illegal to speak Korean, burning our museums and controlling our schools. Granted, I don't live in Korea, I live in France, but the older Korean people in my family almost get PTSD when Japan is mentioned because that was such a recent event. So Japanese born and raised people seems really surprising to me because I would think the higher ups would only let Japanese-Koreans join.
I know about that but music companies don't care. Their goal is making money and spreading Korean culture overseas. Japan is a huge source of income, even if K-pop is still considered niche there. Korean idol groups almost always debut there. Even unknown groups can rank high on the Oricon music charts through fandom power alone. And it's not like they're hiring Japanese people to make Japanese music to sell in Korea. They're teaching these kids Korean and K-pop style music so I guess that makes it more palatable, I guess?
I mean South Korea is very capitalist. My grandma is all about money and is a huge hoarder because back when she was a kid it was a third world country. So it makes sense. Maybe I'm just a little bit shocked because of the Boycott Japan movement that happened relatively recently. I mean, people were straight up banning Japanese people from entering their businesses. And certain Koreans who owned businesses who were born in Japan were also boycotted. Hell, 7-11 was boycotted because they thought it was a Japanese business XD
I guess I'm shocked because that event is a bit recent in my mind.
