I can’t say what it is exactly that’s bugging me but I feel like the flow isn’t as good anymore in the new chapter (15). Also the ml's name was translated differently here. Even though most of you will have less troubles pronouncing "Belgarde", I think "Beauregarde" is his real name. The story is set in medieval Europe, so it would make sense for the ml to have a French name (or a name that a Korean would consider a medieval French name).
I just feel like official translators don’t really give a fuck or maybe they are rushing but it just shows.
I’ve also noticed this before with a few other manhwas, Your Throne for example. I liked the illegal translation way more than the official one from (webtoon? I know it’s up there but idk if they’re in charge of the translation).
How/Why could that be? Looking at the credits, there’s two quality checkers and I still noticed things that would sound better if worded differently (and english is not even my first language ... although that might actually be the reason why I notice that stuff ( ̄∇ ̄"))
Do they actually not give that much of a fuck or are illegal translators just more meticulous since they’re doing it so other readers can enjoy the manhwa?
I haven't read this story yet but for Your Throne I think it just depends on where you start reading it. I read it on webtoon first and I found the translation to be good. But if you started reading it with a different translator and the names change halfway, I can see why you would prefer the translator you read it first with cuz you are more comfortable with what you've read first ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
"He treats me like the female lead of a shoujo manga ;^; "
Well duh what’d you expect? He’s a hardcore otaku and has no experience dating a man ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Tbh if in the beginning stages of a relationship someone kept saying they don’t trust me and they’re gonna break up again, I’d let them. I’m not wasting my effort on people who don’t wanna be with me.
I don’t have a problem with having no self confidence and not trusting that the other person loves you but there’s way more ways to make sure of another’s love. What Arima has been doing and still is doing is hurtful and I feel like he doesn’t care about Kitaoji's feelings one bit. Instead of accusing him of things, Arima should ask Kitaoji why he treats him like that and kindly inform him he doesn’t want his kindness :(
(Btw Arima keeps insisting he’s a man but he’s been acting like the most cliché weak fl ever, letting himself be courted by Kitaoji and being fickle about his own feelings. Idk if that’s just my shitty memory but i don’t remember him contributing anything to their relationship, Kitaoji has to do all the work) ( ̄へ ̄)
He went like swoop different position ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
When i try to move with my bf on top it’s more of a workout with trying not to get tangled in the sheets or falling off the bed and the little comments "wait my leg needs to go there, can you put your hand here, i gotta move to this side,..." and overall it’s not elegant or quick in any way ( ̄∇ ̄")
Wouldn’t the best option be for Hari to marry the prince and then both pair exchange partners?
Like the prince loves blondie (maybe she’ll love him back) and Hari and Eugene like each other.
That would also solve the thing with the public ....but they’d have to hide the whole time hmmm
So glad my life ain’t complicated like that ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Thinking of dropping this.
For about ten chapters now, I haven’t really been happy about updates and their behavior is just getting annoying.
I mean who the hell leaves their weak spot (aka daughter) with only one guard? And why is she getting the wrong ideas about him trying to kill her as a baby? He a loving father now and he regrets it, that’s all that counts.
I wasn’t a wanted child but I’m alive now and my parents love me, so why should I be upset over the past now? I mean as an actual child it’s something to get upset over but she isn’t??
First) it wasn’t just one guard, it was an entire castle of people—they just didn’t think he’d be able to get a spy in but he created the new brainwashing thing which allowed him to bypass their safeguards with Neti
Second) she’s like 5 (has the brain development of a 5 year old at least) and all her old memories were of a family that hated her and abuse, not to mention that her dads been distant in the past few chapters. Ur acting like she’s an adult with the mental stability of a saint
The development makes sense considering her character and what we know about the world
Man, that was some good Jeffrey-content we got there ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
Evan is really fine too but my heart— it badumps only for that blue haired beauty ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
Evan is rubbish (all the disciples say so) read what Dan Monte said: "you will never beat the teacher", Dan Monte is no LIAR
His obsession is to crush his teacher like a child crushes ants for fun, to overcome her in everything, he believes that because he is powerful others will accept him because he himself is not capable of accepting his mistakes, everyone is guilty of misfortune that he provoked himself. he is like Griffith from Berserk (but he is charismatic, interesting, and even empathetic), but he is the biggest garbage made character.
Look at Griffith the same damn envious look that Evan has

No, he only wants to steal everything Charlotte has because he himself has no identity of his own (and does not want to get something by his own effort) and envies what she has. (That's why every time he's at a disadvantage he runs away to have more power, later in chapter 56 he lets himself be helped just because he was surrounded by powerful people and couldn't escape). But he's waiting for an excuse to go crazy and destroy everything, and then blame it.
he is like the monster in this story:

This is what the demon refers to in chapter 1 (checked in chapter 72, I keep up with the raws). And Evan is being influenced by the devil, but he already felt that envy towards his teacher, the desire to be better than her in everything he is doing now is of his own free will nothing is forcing him. He only plays the victim to escape and evade questions (if not compare Dan and Yulian, they did need help). Instead, he doesn't it. He is the happiest that his teacher is weak (in his mind: I'm finally better than her hahahaha)
Yesss to the abduction :D
It will only bring good things: proof of duke roseas actions, the royal family will learn that loving the children from afar will not protect them and the twins will start to trust their fam bc they rescued them.
Maybe Ishina will die for the sake of making the situation dangerous but I don’t think so ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Illegitimate green haired boy will probably have a change of heart and reveal everything when interrogated ...
*its not really a spoiler as I don’t know what will happen, those are just guesses based on what would I do as an author to resolve the situation
Everything was so good but why— whyyyyy does he have to be all cliche and go to a love hotel with the next guy who looks like Kitaoji Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
Yeah but Kitaoji literally told him he would like to try dating twice. He’s been a straight otaku up to this point so it’s natural he would be surprised by a guy liking him and asking him about sex all of a sudden. So it’s not like the train already left the station (is that also a thing to say in english?).
And i don’t know if it’s just me but if I was heartbroken about my crush, I wouldn’t be able to go have sex with the next random dude (or anyone at all).
Anyhow, if Arima ends up alone it’s most probably not bc his crush didn’t like him back but bc he rejected someone by judging their love wasn’t enough for him.
Also if you’re wondering why I dislike Arima, I just hate this "Uhm I won’t believe you love me until you show me in a way that satisfies me" attitude.
My relationship started with my boyfriend confessing and me being like "ok you don’t seem half bad, let’s try this and see if I fall in love" and we’ve been together for three years now.
What is there to lose if they tried dating? If it works out, that’s great for both parties and if it doesn’t, they can cut it off and go their own ways again. They would’ve tried it at least. At the start of a relationship, you never know how it’ll play out. If the happiest married couple in the world had been too afraid of getting hurt at the start, it would have never worked out.
So what I’m saying is if he won’t take the risk of getting into a relationship, he will inevitably have to stay alone.
Well tbh not everyone has the courage to take risks or just go for it. You would have to see things from Arima's perspective. Arima fell in love with a straight guy, so he probably thought his love would be unrequited. Having Kitaoji say he would try dating him would just make Arima put up a wall because let's say if Arima did agree and they did start dating, Arima's feelings for Kitaoji would obviously grow even more to a point where he would want to do intimate things with Kita. However, not knowing how Kita truly feels and if their feelings for each other are the same, just makes Arima doubt Kita. There will always be doubt and fear in a relationship, that's why you need reassurance.
Also yes, we won't know how their relationship would go about and that's for them to decide how it will go. But the one that would suffer the most would be Arima. Everyone is scared to be hurt by the person they love the most.
Also, see how you wrote this from your perspective and how you would have done things. Not everyone can relate to you or understand you because everyone is different when it comes to handling relationships and feelings.
Btw we know they are obviously going to go through some things that will irritate us and make us pissed but eventually they'll end up together. (Unless the author changes it)
That may have worked for you and your boyfriend, but really what risk was there if it doesn't work out? Considering they would have to still work together, there is a chance the one could be outed as gay and have his life ruined, and the fact the one could lose his first friend all means there is way more at risk than just going separate ways. This is also a country where the person could be fired or even black listed from working if it became known he was gay.
The risk for the relationship not working out is almost the same as it is now. If things stay this way, Kitaoji definitely loses his first friend and if he were to suddenly turn evil or something, he could also out Arima at the company (I just skimmed through the wikipedia article concerning lgbtq+ rights in Japan and 1. according to a poll over 50% of the population are in favor of homosexuality being accepted by society and 2. in Tokyo, where i think this manga to be set, exist anti-discrimination laws in employment, which means Arima probably wouldn’t be fired just for being gay).
Yes, people think differently and opinions of the same situation vary due to personal experiences but I just think it would be a waste to throw everything away before really trying it. If what the sister said is right, Arima liked Kitaoji for quite a while and even starting reading a lot more shoujo manga just so he can talk about them with Kitaoji. And now he just wants to throw away all his effort? He knew Kitaoji was straight and an airhead from the beginning and he still loves him. He may as well see it through until the end.
As for the hurt part, Arima already is hurt (if we believe his sister) and it’s the "this is the end" kinda hurt, meaning it’s a similar hurt to the end of a relationship. I mean just try it already argh.
(They’re gonna end up together anyways, we all know it) (Kitaoji will probably run to Arima and confess his love again and then they get into that hotel together or something and we get the happy ending) ( ̄∇ ̄")
Sorry, but it's a bit naive to read a wikipedia-article and assume everything is fine and dandy. Even though there are law forbidding discrimination it happens EVERY DAY.
Even though half the population say they're okay with homosexuality doesn't mean they're actually okay when faced with it. A lot of people lose friends and family and their good reputation for being gay.
Even though anti-discrimination laws exist, it's not easy to prove unjust termination.
I feel for Arima. Kita's proposal was not thought through. If a guy I've been IN LOVE with forever came to me and said he would TRY to look for his ideal relationship with me - but no promises, I would have been devestated.

Sorry Robia, hun. You just don’t have the right hair color to be trusted ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
AHAHAHHA- my fav comment everr
