There are always people that sit back and complain about a backstory and how tragic backstories are only for people to sympathize with the character. It isn't...authors make backstories to better understand a character, their motivations, their fears, obstacles, and aids in the plot of the story. If you are only thinking that the reason Mingwa gave Jiwon, a sad childhood is just for sympathy means that you're only thinking of this story in a superficial way. It isn't for pity or sympathy...more for explanation. Sure, you may also find this backstory "cliche" but honestly--you don't often find a child being neglect because he was second best at something. I find it slightly original. I'm not even the best fan of Jiwon but this chapter has me understanding his behavior (not excusing it though).

Well, stop reading it. If you find this story so badly written. Stop reading it. There is a difference between criticism and straight out complaining. Did you not read what I typed? This backstory isn't for sympathy. You do better. What's so badly written about it? Does this story have issues, yes. His parents are one dimensional--this isn't a 600 page novel, it's a webtoon with limited panels. His parents aren't significant characters to be fully developed, that's up to Mingwa to do if she wants to go deeper in the story. Also, this is in Jiwon's point of view, it's how he sees his parents and how his parents treated him.

There are still characters that i enjoy and the art is good. I am not even that pissed off about the cliché backstory, but it is cliché nonetheless. What really pisses me off is people not aknowledging that what Jiwon did was rape and then asking the others for sympathy towards Jiwon when they literally have no sympathy for the main character and the people who defend him. Just a bit hypocrytical if you ask me.

The hell are you talking about? Where were you like 2 months ago. Even in the last chapter, people were talking about Jiwon's behavior and actions towards DG. There were plenty of people including me that talked about how Jiwon sexual assaulted DG numerous times. I find people like you extremely annoying. You read other stories such as Love is an Illusion and gave other works 5 stars with similar plots but you're here complaining about this story. I haven't seen anyone requesting sympathy for Jiwon, at all. Plenty of people have more sympathy and care about DG. Some people still cannot stand Jiwon, at all. People get why he acts this way, but no real person is condoning or excusing his behavior. Even in the raws, Mingwa states this. You really got some nerve. You're pulling this out your ass.

where did he raped him? first of all the uke accepted a sex relationship. minors, underage and young adults clearly don't understand what is a fuckbuddy relationship and what for. the uke didn't took responsibility for accepting a sex partner.
it gets a bit annoying reading senseless opinions from kids who don't know shit about adult life and relationships and the out comings.
fact: the uke it's a fault for getting hurt. I'm pretty sure most adults here with life experience will agree. he accepted a sex relationship. Alex was clear about it and what to expect and what not. Alex didn't fooled him nor romanced him.

good grief. this is why I'm against kids in these sites. they don't have nothing useful to say except whine and bitch. English is not my native tongue kid. the likes like you use grammar when you get pissy for reading a truth. hoe'd is a low english form. don't preach in underwear. do you even know what it means? I guess not, typical of kids. the actual meaning has nothing to do with sleeping around like you implied.
nothing more pathetic than idiotic children slut shamming women without even knowing the person. real women have sex you idiot. prepare yourself when grown up because kids like you who slut shame others, are the ones that usually lost control after tasting dicks.
reply to others when you have a strong, real actual opinion not a childish bitchy whine...

ok lmao the other two people seemed relatively reasonable but you... add nothing to the conversation and are just pretty dismissive and condescending in general. You also act as if YOU are an expert, but while also comparing your (im asssuming) straight woman experience to a comic about a gay relationship, and acting like that gives YOU the authority to tell who is right and wrong. stfu "kid"

yes you're assuming. aren't you the same person?! because the childish whine seems so similar.
fyi yaoi has nothing to do with actual gay relationships. yaoi is written by women for women. aka gay fetish. bara is the real gay comics. written by gays for gays. but the situations expressed in the comic could happen to any persons of any sexuality.
so whats wrong to point out the opinions of kids about stuff they don't even understand?! the reasons most adults here don't comment is because they want to fit in or don't want to engage discussing with immature kids. I usually don't mind kids opinions. but this time it pissed me a little how Alex has been crucified, just because young people has unrealistic ideas of infatuation, love, relationships.
Sex relationships carry responsibilities, one of them is to be aware of the type of relationship. If one of the parties is infatuated with the other, he/she must keep in check any emotions. You're breaking the agreement as soon you let those emotions get in the way like the uke did.
sex relationship aka no strings attached means the relationship is merely an agreement between two people to have sex with no strings attached and no feelings involved. asking or expecting more than sex is a violation of their agreement. it is and always will be just about sex. and this is where the uke failed to understand and failed to keep his part. he was a virgin already in college. he should reject alex's offer. I'm not defending alex. he was an assholes sometimes. but its unfair to attack him. and worst attacking that character by people with no maturity to understand.

My point has nothing to do with the fucking story. My point is that you're pretentious and dismissive and it isn't a good fuckin look. Everything you just said are things that I am COMPLETELY aware of, but you assume that you are the one in the know and the person you are arguing with is an uninformed child. and fyi I am an actual grown ass gay man on this site with PLENTY of experience so don't even start up with that presumptuous shit.

Its not "original" but its the harsh truth
Asian parents are like that.More often than not.
I know a lot of people who grew up under similar circumstances with that kind of abusive behavior from their parents
And they are ALL East Asian parents.
Let's face it they usually do have many many issues...
Some Asian parents even compare their kids with total strangers and they even praise other kids who are even "lesser" than their kid but they will never encourage their own kid.Instead they only pressure and shame their kid and hishis/her abilities and performance...

For the record, i'm a 23 yr old gay man. Grown, the same as you, but apparently this internet bitch has all the answers... As i said, we should just leave her and her internet "expertise" to stew over there. She'll have enough to deal with tonight when she fingers herself all lonely because no man wants to deal with that attitude.

Spoiler
Diesel kills someone in front of Bexan. The person was stalking Minsuk, Bexan, Diesel and Ein and the person was hired by a person from Ein and Diesel's past. The gang Diesel use to work for found them and are at Ein's apartment now trying to attack him.

Instagram maybe? Saw it a while back on my feeds

I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't want DG to find someone else. I feel that he should just go on about his life. Go to college, make friends, enjoy just being DG and work on himself. I feel like another love interest wouldn't be necessary and I find it cliché. Him playing hard to get back, due to having his heart broken and growing from that life lesson will be more interesting than him dating someone else and Jiwon getting jealous (we already seen Jiwon get jealous of MD)

i agree
i hate that his life must revolve around someone, likehe should focus on himself and improve himself

You're not the only one. Its so damn cliche for everybody to want him to have another love interest. Its just going to be painfully obvious that DG isn't moving on even when enjoying his time with the new love interest plus we already know they're going to end up together so the new love interest route is so very unnecessary.

Yeah...other reason for me not wanting this route is that i always get hit hard with second lead syndrome lmao, since they tend to be nicer than the main one...it would be cool to see other reasons for jiwon to chase after dg and wanting to know him better...dg making friends, getting other interests...

Completely agree. Why does he need a partner in order to grow, that comes from self development rather than being linked to a filler character, that will likely be a charming match, but will end up being dumped and thrown way as soon as the MC realises they can't live without their original love. DG needs to be his own man, get on with his degree coursework, do his job, make friends and demonstrate self-care seeing as previously he wasn't sleeping well. Jiwon and DG will ultimately end up together, the plot should focus more on those two being more communicative, insightful and starting a relationship where they both see each other as equals and are able to trust.

Volume 2, chapter 0 is just an extra. Volume 2, chapter 1 takes place after the extras of volume 1. They are in the Lutah tribe in Volume 2 chapter 1-3 (only 3 chapters out right now). The raws are on this site (though chapter 3 is missing a few pages), you can look at the raws for yourself. There I explained it.
Some people are happy, some are mad...honestly, I don't know how I feel about this chapter or this story anymore. Maybe it's my age or my experience in life. Am I expecting too much from this story? I know she's now decided to make a season 3 but I don't know if I'll continue buying her work. To me, he only went back because he "bonded" but...I don't know, it's hard for me to explain how I feel. The last 3 chapters felt like she pulled them from her butt. Sorry, I don't know...
"she pulled them from her but" i-
I think S3 is where the love begins. This is just the prequel something like that.
