I know rapes happen in real life and i know it happens even more in prison. But it doesn't mean everyone in there gets raped. Therefore It wasn't needed for the plot.

Also yaois isn't a genre that tries to imitate real life at all.

Of course a yaoi set in a prison is most likely to have rape. But that's only because most of the authors enjoys having rapes in their stories. But even knowing that, i still stand by my point, it would have been better without the rape.

This is jail. It’ll be abnormal for it not to happen. And also I feel like you’re pushing it when you said the author enjoyed that. That’s other mangas not everyone draws rape to make it look ‘hot’ and brush it off afterwards.

The way it was drawn by the author was not in a way it could’ve be enjoyed. It was drawn the way rape brutally actually happens and especially how it is in jail.

Also with what happened to Matthew the author did a good job with showing consequences with rape and especially in jail when fucking with other people’s friends and etc.

With the blood and everything that was dripping from him, it’s just showing us the cold hard truth. Im pretty sure no one enjoyed that nor the author. No one in their right mind would enjoy someone bleeding from their asshole. It was something apart of the story the author chose to put it there. This is jail I don’t see how know one could’ve seen that coming.

One more thing yes a lot of Yaoi/bl mangas that have rape in them are written without logic but not every manga is like that. For example this one and there’s this one omegaverse manga where the uke got his justice and another one where the seme got justice for the uke in his own way. Not every manga will be based off logic but there are many that have logic.. Don’t compare every single manga as the same one because they all are different in many ways depending on what the author was going for.

The authors include what they WANT in their stories. They might do research on it, but they will only include what they want.

And just because the character itself didn't like it. It doesnt mean that the author itself didn't enjoy including rape in their story.

It's the author's choice and I ain't judging their preferences. I'm only stating my own, which dislikes rapes in a story where i like the romance part.

teeth in yaois. And yet i believe most of us do it. I believe we are more likely to brush our teeth than being raped in prison. And yet we dont see it often in yaois. Because the author don't give a shit. But we often see characters taking showers. Because that's what the author wants.

Rape or not, most of yaois don't care about logic when it comes to how characters acts. (Which is normal, it's how they can make dramas/lovey dovey/fluffy moments which is entertaining) But even if the characters are acting in ways that actually makes sense, and it leads to rape, it won't change the fact it didn't HAVE to happen. It only happens because the author wants it.

Yeah because it was a part of the plot it was there choice to put it. If it was there choice of not doesn’t mean they enjoyed it. I feel like you’re lowkey missing the point.

They wanted it to be in the story, that's why they put it in the story. I think you are the one missing the point. No one is forcing them to put rape in the story.

Therefore, they like rapes in their fictional stories.

Some authors likes tragic stories, so they will make someone dies and they like it like that.

Ok let's look at it from another point of view. What makes you think they dislike rape if the authors went through the hard work of introducing characters/events/settings for the rape to happen and of course drawing the whole scene.

Okay what I’m trying to say is, someone can be disgusted by rape but still yk be interested in it. In a lot of mangas some purposely make the scenes ‘hot’ so when you say they like it I’d agree with you if it were a story LIKE that. But with this story it looks like actual rape not meaning to be portrayed as hot if you get what I’m saying.

Mm I actually have. Those are my top favorite mangas and when you bring that in then I understand the kink type part. A lot of people do like the role play and what not with a rape scene so yes I understand that. Some have no problem with rape, I personally try to pass it up because that’s not something I’d usually enjoy.

So yeah certain authors yk put that into their story for fantasies because people do actually fantasize about being dominated forcefully and what not, while others put it for as you say more angst yk, and rape can be in interest with some.
Also one thing a rape scene can have a reader hooked when the author is actually being realistic. When I say having a reader hook Ik talking about stories where there’s justice in the mc’s own hands or the law and healing being done yk.

There’s also an incest tag and people are interested in incest mangas and what not, I actually read them because it’s something out of curiosity. It all deals with what the authors true intentions and interests are and the ah they portray certain things. It also has a lot to do with what their viewers like. Goes both ways with both parties.

I personally think the author did it because because they enjoyed rape as a kink. And the way the story was made, it really felt like the author loved the character Chang. The same way the author of Back To School said her favorite was the rapist.

Mm in back to school he was just assaulted but with back to school I can’t help but love Jihyun but he fucked everything up man... I’m happy for Chiwoo and Kyujin though, he’s perfect for Chiwoo. It’s just something about with the mc’s having that past connection though.

Also for Back to School it's prettt much a fact that Jihyun raped Chiwoo. It wasn't shown but everything pointed in that direction and at the end when Chiwoo is at hospital, we have 1 panel when we see what Chiwoo saw. (When he was "besten up") and we see Jihyun and theres Chiwoo's bare leg next to Jihyun. Thats why Chiwoo is that much traumatized. He was extremely brutally raped (there was broken glass under his back...). I understand why so many people missed it though because during the story, it felt as if Chiwoo was re-opening towards Jihyun. Then at the end he drops the bomb that he has suicidal thoughts everytime i sees Jihyun.

I was honestly mad that after when they were adults. Chiwoo wanted to hug Jihyun but he decided not to for Kyujin. It's like the author couldnt make up his mind "Chiwoo hates Jihyun...ok now he might let him get closer...nvm he always hated Jihyun.....ok but after some years he actually wants to hug him" It really REALLY destroyed the whole point of making mental issues post rape if the author is gonna be like that. It's like Chiwoo was meant to be scared of Jihyun but the author likes Jihyun too much so she added moments where Chiwoo wanted to be close as well.

Yes there was rape. As i said, there was some hints at the begining but because it wasnt mentionned, it's normal to assume it was not a sexual assault. It's at the end in the hospital that you were supposed to understand it. You should re-read what Chiwoo says to Jihyun at the hospital. It's ALL about rape.

Okay I’ll have to go back in and look at the panel where they fought I must’ve didn’t pay too much attention. I agree with you on everything you said it was a big mess honestly. I’ma just rant rant a bit on how I feel.

So with back to school I honestly cried a lot because I really love to read a lot of mangas where the couple may have a bond in the past yk and were split up. I was rooting for both Jihyun and Kyujin becuase I honestly love them both, but deep down I knew and couldn’t deny I wanted Jihyun because like I said I love past relationships.

After reading the part where Jihyun forced Chiwoo I honestly was just sitting there crying for like an hour. I have a deep connection with certain mangas, like for example 19 days, walk on water, back to school, etc. I also have a deep connection with the characters when I can relate to them in many ways.

So when I saw that happen I myself was honestly hurt. Seeing chiwoo cry like that, and Jihyun making that horrible mistake he did It was horrible. Like I said I somewhat relate to Jihyun a little with just little things and how much he loved Chiwoo and wanted him but fucked it up with a drunken mistake, instead of stopping himself.

I cried a lot at their past memories because I could feel what Jihyun felt after being rejected. Also with what you said how Chiwoo would want Jihyun but didn’t i could honestly see that and I hated it, I can tell Jihyun got his hopes up.

I’m honestly just angry and disappointed with Jihyun bro cause it’s like how can you do that to the person you’re supposed to love the most. I feel he would’ve never done it, if he hadn’t gone crazy and became that aggressive forceful person he did. Deep down I wanted them to work things out but everything was just so fucked.

I forgot to add I’m glad it turned out the way it did. Jihyun was abusive and they needed to be split apart to change. I can tell Jihyun has change and he’s learned from his past after reading back to school grown up, it seems he’s more calm and gentle, less forceful and not obsessive.

Also with their relationship in the original back to school It kind of reminds me of Akihiko and Ugetsu’s relationship in Given, how they just went back in forth through this toxic phase. Like you could love each other but you have to let go because all you’re going to do is hurt each other constantly. All they did was cheat on each other and I’m pretty sure Ugetsu put his hands on Akihko a lot during arguments. All they did was constantly hurt each other.

Also seeing how gently and how much Kyujin did a better job cherishing Chiwoo I honestly love that so much. Kyujin is honestly an angel. Jihyun needs to find someone else to love, to do better with, to grow with etc. And if Chiwoo decide to stay friends then that’s okay. Though I doubt because he seemed hostile a little, he still seemed open but still hostile towards Jihyun.

I personally hated a Jihyun. For me he was nothing more than an abusive friend who became a rapist when he got rejected. And i wouldn't say that the rape was a "drunken" mistake. As you can see, Jihyun NEVER said sorry about. He NEVER felt bad about it. It means that it wasn't a mistake and he simply did NOT care about chiwoo's feelings. The first thing he did when he came back from jail is act like everything is normal and back to threatening Chiwoo......

ONLY at the end he regretted what he did. And the reason he regrets is because Chiwoo was telling him to disappear. Thats why he regretted.

Jihyun's childhood might have a fault in his personnality. But he is still a bad person and i won't even call "love" what he felt for Chiwoo. For me it was just the author going too in her clichés.

I agree with you on painter of the night. I find myself feeling guilty for liking Seungho but I’m sorry he’s my baby. He’s fucked up but you have to remember what part of time this manga is in. Honestly rape doesn’t even exist in that part of time. With his position, its to the point no one cares and people can easily get away with things, especially Seungho because of his position cuase it’s like, no one can disobey him. So painter of the night gives an acceptable setting for rape. But at the same time i'm like "well if Seungho randomly gets killled he deserved it" after all he is done.

It’s always so stupid. Like there’s this one manga im reading and basically this high schooler can fantasize about something and he can actually feel his fantasy. Like say he was fantasizing about eating a donut he can taste the donut and feel it etc. So in class he was fantasizing about his teacher touching him and he ejaculated. Basically the seme started messing with him and he was interested in him, fast forward a lot of shit happened, I don’t remember what it was because I paused the manga, but he was messing with him and then he forcefully pulled his pants down and raped him. Yea well it seems most readers enjoys drama in stories, no matter how it's done. So author just keep using rape as a way to add drama and it works most of the time.

The rape scenes that i don't really see it as rape is when :

1. Uke didn't try to fight back physically

2. The uke's feelings towards the guy AFTER is still normal. (Not afraid of his "rapist", does not hate him, ...).

3. Uke was not psychologically hurt by the act. (Depression / terrified to go outside / doesn't feel safe / sad / ...)

4. Uke fall in love with the guy soon after

MOST OF THE TIME, if these 3 conditions were met, i'm just like "well...he didn't really suffer from it and he didnt even see the seme as a bad person, on the contrary he loves the seme." I just assume that the uke didn't realize his feelings for the seme and so even if he didn't dislike the sex, he still says "stop" but not much else.

But honestly...i think these authors needs to learn more about gay sex. The majority of the authors base their knosledge of gay sex on old school yaoi and that's really sad. Sorry for the late reply school just started but I agree with that. I recently read this manga where there’s this dude in the yakuza who literally group rapes omegas and he records them with his friends.

Investing is always high risk high gain so people looking to gain profit will invest in start-up lesser known companies. That is how investment works. Also, In order for the company to be separate identity from the owner, the business has to run as a corporation. And it is very difficult for start ups to has corporation as a business structure because it is very costly, complicated, and need a lot of manpower and high credibility to run. The starting business is usually starts as either sole proprietor (owner takes all risk) or partnership (joint liability).

Well i think it's weird that many people actually invest in these. (Especially if they aren't rich). Especially in a Korean since you just said that these scams happens a lot.

It's really bad if this is a regular scam. It shows how bad the system is. But I would still say the people involved are way too careless. A joint liability is one of the worst that you can do, it shall be used very carefully. And same for investing in a start-up company.
