imo i think junta is really lonely, like depressed lonely. and maybe his brother was the only person who made him feel unlonely, so he becomes more and more scared when someone tries to take the only thing that keeps him from being lonely (like when hideyuki/nemugasa were keeping akira busy with tutoring, or sensei, or naoya). i hope we get a closer look into junta's story too. i 100% agree that akira deserves happiness, and no one to mess with that happiness, but i want to know more about junta too. all of nekota sensei's characters are pretty complex which makes me so happy and interested~

I love this! Also to people saying they don't want him to be a prostitute/"whore", ain't nothing wrong with sex work. He's doing his best for his passion, and he isn't relying on anyone. Plus, he's working hard to bring home money for his family. tbh I support and respect sex workers, because they work so hard and they have it so rough. i hope he can earn enough to be able to make it big with his passion.

Well I don't have any problem with sex workers either. And actually some of the yaoi I really like are about prostitutes or porn stars. So the problem I have with this manga, that keeps me from loving it, isn't the uke turning a prostitute but the seme turning a pimp.
If this was a 10 or more chapters manga I wouldn't mind a start like that. Cause they would have had enough time to develop proper feelings for each other, gain respect for each other and ending having something real between them. And by "real" I don't mean a fluffy happy end where the seme can't stand the idea of the uke sleeping with other men and asks him to stay exclusively his, but by "real" I mean having a relationship with equality and mutually pure emotions. And they could have something like that even with the uke remaining a prostitute and the seme remaining a pimp.
But in a manga of 5 (I think) chapters I know that this is not possible. It would be either rushed or it would end up with those two having a more superficial and carnal relationship. And for me this is not something I enjoy in yaoi. I am a hopeless romantic and I really want some romance in my manga, even if it's broken or twisted (actually I enjoy broken or twisted romance even more, cause I find it more beautiful and realistic sometimes).
With that being said, I 100% know that this is purely a matter of taste and I totally respect the fact that some people really like more "sexy" yaoi like this one.

no need to apologize haha! I definitely understand I guess what you're talking about with the manga being cut too short and rushed with no "real" emotions. I 100% love those types of mangas too, so I get where you're coming from. I was just upset by all the comments about being a slut/whore/prostitute and just downgrading mahiro and what he's doing in order for his dreams to come true (it takes true courage imo, to follow your dreams especially when your dreams are expensive af and barely pay the bills). like marry said, there's a negative connotation with sex workers and this needs to be shut down. i enjoyed the manga, in my own way but hahaha just wish people were more forgiving and positive about sex work.
p.s. can you recommend me some mangas about sex workers/porn stars hahah i don't have that many that i know of (like maybe three or four off the top of my head).
hahaha thanks, and yeah i agree~ and yeah i think in mahiro's case the end justifies the means but it was still his choice to join so that's important (i mean if he was forced into sex trade that's a different story and i would want him to be rescued, but if he chose to provide sexual services i support him and his proper customers).

I am totally with you about the prejudice against sex workers. For me being a prostitute and being a whore are two different things. Being a "prostitute" is what you do for a living while being a "whore" is who you are as a person. We use the word "whore" as a mean and harsh way to describe a person whose character who find disturbing. So calling prostitutes "whores" is insulting and unfair. Especially when most of them are way more "human" and correct than the rest of us.

1. the brothers transferred there. from where? why?
2. we don't know if that person already lived there or he moved in with them
3. we haven't heard anything about him being their dad yet, if he is, is he the real dad?
4. we haven't heard anything about the brothers' parents yet. still haven't seen their mother figure (or other father etc.)
5. what purpose does he serve if he's just the father? author could have drawn him bumping into one of the brothers, but he introduced the three together and kirara called them all cool, so i feel he serves an important role.
here's how i think it'll happen:
kirara mistakes his admiration for the older brother with love. he sees the older brother being intimate with/kissing that guy, and he's "hurt" (but not really) by this. then either one of two things happen:
1. the other brother sees it with him, and tries to stay with kirara to comfort him. maybe he confesses while he's at it.
2. kirara goes to the other brother for advice/help when he is "heartbroken" and the other brother confesses to him or helps him with some advice.
3. i am completely wrong and nothing like this ever happens lol

In these types of single-parent households their bonds are either super deep or super broken up. In shirotani household's case the child felt like his dad is all he had left in the world. I think that in the girl's case she probably had nowhere to belong, and then she became attached to her teacher, and she probably felt like this little kid was taking the only person who paid her attention away from her. She ended up messing with shirotani's head too. During a crucial, confused, and vulnerable moment (remember he's in 5th grade so like 10ish so this is probably the first time he experiences anything sexual), she told him he was disgusting. He thinks everything that is him is disgusting so he tries to keep himself as clean as possible, he thinks people become dirty after touching him (a.k.a. why he asked kurose to disinfect). she pretty much messed with every aspect of this child's life. His father also is messed up. He preyed on an underaged girl, he brought her home with him (where his child is), and he played psychological games with his kid by telling him shit like "i can read your mind" "i know you want to apologize." that's pretty much emotional abuse. it's no wonder shirotani is so afraid of kurose. I think it;s important to remember though, that this is not a matter of girls are like this. Girls are not like this, and middle-aged single fathers are not like this. These are people with psychological problems.

hmm i can see your point of view, but i think kurose is much smarter than that. he's a psychologist after all, i think kurose pretty much understands why shirotani is like this (he may not know the story, but he probably knows the gist of it), and once he knows what the number 1 thing shirotani can't do is, he will pretty much figure it out. i don't think kurose thinks shirotani is playing with him, i think kurose is pushing and pulling so that shirotani will finally be desperate enough to tell him what happened and open up to him. shirotani imo is scared everytime kurose pushes him but he's more afraid when kurose pulls him. that's what i think anyways.
don't give up on this manga guys, i read the raws (and listened to the blcd), it's beautiful. it's a work of art. no yaoi that i know of compares to this one.
