i suppose you are right. But considering his servant said SH went through something bad in has past, it just seems to me that it was a possibility. Also just because someone is engaged doesn't mean there has to be love or commitment involved. And it seems that SH has always lived by his father's "principles", but added his own twist to it in order to prove a point. Ive had other theories before too on what that bad event might have been, but after this new piece of info, it didnt seem too far fetched. Obviously something happened that caused SH to snap, although it could have been something unrelated when he was younger. Since he displayed questionable behavior even when he was younger, as he stated during the paintbrush scene where he had NK pinned down. I can't wait for our questions to be answered. At this rate anything is possible. Someone above mentioned it could all just be town gossip, and SH isnt engaged to anyone. It just seems strange that the author chose that specifically as the trailer for season 2 if it were just meant to be an idle rumor.

Don't know if i should laugh or be mad at the fact that about 90% of yaoi or BL manga the main characters try to convince you they "aren't gay", like constantly repeat how not homo they are, yet still go around shoving their dick in another guy by force. I guess it all comes down to the fact that being gay in Japan or any Asian country is seen as a bad thing still. And yaoi and bl just caters to those who fetishise same sex relationships but dont actually accept the realities of it. Tragic indeed.
