those are their names initials. adachi's name is kiyoshi and kurosawa's yuuchi. kurosawa bought the aprons in advance while fantasizing a partnership with adachi haha.
it stands for the initials of their first names, but KY is also a slang for "kuuki yomenai", as in "can't read the room", so it's a double pun.
the crown princess actions in the beginning is flabbergasting....like....the thing is there are people who really are like her. I dunno why they become like this. Loneliness? Like it's insane. You saw him once. Then mistook his sister for him. And those two interactions were enough so you had the audacity to hug him?
