He may be nice to MC cuz he's hot and quirky. But he's still the man who would ruin, dismember, or murder a man at any minor inconvenience if he doesn't get rocked to sleep with his binky. And even though sleep deprivation drives you insane, especially as a war veteran, he doesn't really feel too bad about his atrocities while in his right mind, either. Now he just thinks twice before killing civilians rather than on-site.
