Story or the synopsis in general is great but the overal execution is rather immaturish.
The start is intriguing despite the fast phasing, I'm liking their dynamic as well but then it went downhill. The plot became too ambitious and it's evident that the scriptwriter couldn't keep up.

Highly agree with every word of yours. Ive been sleeping on ennead and casually reading it since 2019 I think but I never really focused until recently and Im so so deeply invested. Genuinely this is one of them peak manhwas in the k bl community. Especially for ppl who who had egyptian mythology obessed childhood n grew up watching Lara croft indana Jones or mummy gods of egypt etc ennead is really a very intriguing and exciting read for me. Although its a bit sad its criminally underrated because some of the unconventional settings n tags but apart from rape which is ofc inexcusable and a justified trigger flag to avoid, the incest isnt really an issue when one is mature or media literate enough to discard a linear perspective or human perspective lense when reading fiction about gods and divinity. Esp when they reduce the entire elaborate story build and painstaking and though out efforts mojito did towards the art and character sketch which has a lot of research discourse potential.

Incest shouldn't be that much of a bother when in comes to fictions. Even though, I still think it's gross. I mean, life on earth has evolved the way it is with god knows how many incestuous engagement there are in all kinds of living things and for the simple reason that human perspective and belief thousands of year ago is completely different.
The character designs! It's simply gorgeous. I would actually argue as well that it is the best in a BL webtoon.
So Ennead really is unique in BL. There are no other BL that I know has this level of regards to historical accuracy. Most of the Historical ones are mostly cosmetic with the exception from a lot of Mangas with pre-war setting. So this really hit the spot for Fudanshis who loves history.
Oh, now that I remembered, theres actually this BL Manga that amaze me since it was set during the medieval and to my surprise, everything are historically accurate (if you read medieval history, you would get it) Its called 'Love Story'. It's not the not on the same calibre as Ennead but still.
I absolutely love historical media especially if its done right as in terms of costume design time period accurate cultural nuances and settings beliefs etc. pleasee suggest me some good ones you think are worthy reads. I tried looking for love story but many came up. Could u please link me if you dont mind

might as well just create the whole environment in sims. And not to mention the scripts and scenes are borderline comical.
I know the MC's POV is mainly being a fujoshi, however, for some reasons I can't find the proper words or explanation for it but he doesn't strike me as a likeable MC.
It kinda feels weird and there are times where he's being stupidly dense.
anyway, hoping the mangaka will add a Haruki Ending (Unpopular opinion, I know.).
This season will end in ch 80 and we'll be left with cliffhanger(as usual) then they will all take a break before season 3... (Let's hope no)
This Chapter-By-Chapter upload format was never a good idea. It's causing immense pressure from the illustrator and his team (if they have) and it's by design.
While all these Korean Webtoon platforms are swimming in profits and the creator's payout are a drop in a bucket considering how labor intensive their work is.
Anyway, I'm in no place to complain (I mean where in this site be fr)
My little suggestion though is they change their format relase to By-Volume. With that they'll be sure to have more time thus more quality put into productions (I don't mind waiting longer for bigger end product) They can release a physical copy with that as well, which fujoshis & fudanshi will not hesitate to buy, including me.
But since we are talking about the most dystopian capitalist country on earth, short term profit for the corpo is the number 1 priority. Not the creators, not the consumers.
Anyway, Regas is one of the rare well serialized/written BL Webtoons. And we are lucky considering there is no drop in quality when the Art & Scripts are all proper and professionally done despite the stable release upload.
agreed. like how the japanese release volumes with like a few chapters all together, although sometimes it'll take 3-4 months for another volume to be dropped. still, i prefer the netflix-esque one season dropped than TV series one episode per week thing.
This is nice but flip the POV from Seto's perspective and it'll make the manga more dramatic.
