Im saying it's rare because the story revolves around family. mangas or book with similar vibe etc. usually end in a happy ending but would show the partner dying leaving the other one behind while being old. (theres tons of Manga like this I swear)
with this one; no one was left behind!! even Kasumi-san got her very well deserved happy ending! probably one of the best mother in BL world.
though I'm really torned what to feel about Maika's father, he's bi and his life is ticking. I could understand him flirting with women but he didn't even apologize for it.
